  • "What do you want me to do? I don't write shit songs."

    LOL. The man doesn't lie

  • Normally I would be annoyed by someone who is as "fan-ish" as Matt Pinfield. But he is so well versed and so passionate about music, he crosses that line where I actually start to get into it with him.

    Brilliant interview.

  • That is exactly what stop the clocks was 4 me! I got dat album just over a year ago 4 my birthday and i have been trying to find every oasis song since - not 1 bad song

  • Great interview, Matt Pinfield seems like a great guy too.

    Thanks for uploading.

  • noel better not be teasing about going back to the states in the spring...cause he just got me really exciteddd...

  • clearly a "fans" interview. Noel's catalogue of songs is just incomparable. It will take some time before people truly realize hie genius.

    thats the truth.

  • So true, nice one.

  • i'm not a fan of little by little. or the whole heathen chemistry album.

  • Well, yeah, you're right, but he doesn't have to kiss SO much ass to the point where he doesnt have much dignity left. =\

  • see, i can understand most of the Heathen Chemistry songs not being on it, it's my least favourite Oasis album. Although, The Hindu Times is fucking mega.

  • i was never really a fan of Little By Little or Stop Crying Your Heart Out. to me, they're too generic, like we've heard these types of songs before by Oasis, only MUCH better.

and i really don't like Hung In A Bad Place, it might be my least favourite Oasis song. but Songbird and The Hindu Times are worth the album price alone.

  • Fuck me, why does that host kiss so much ass?

  • fankyou vely fookin mooch

  • Stop The Clocks had a pretty bad track listing, they left off WAY too much.

  • Stop The Clocks is a good start though. It's a great introduction to Oasis but I agree, at like 9 songs per disc they could have put more on there if they wanted to, there was plenty of disc space left.

  • to be honest though, i think that was just Noel sticking the fingers up at the record company coz they were gonna release that CD with or without the band.

there's NO CHANCE that Noel thinks that those songs are the best of Oasis. a Best Of Oasis should honestly be like 4 disks, 3 at the least.

  • Yeah, but as he said "it would have to be a box set", I mean for someone completely new to Oasis its got your standards, Wonderwall, Live Forever, Champagne Supernova. But yeah, you could be right about Noel sticking it to the label.

  • i think the fact that he put nothing from Be Here Now on there was a joke, i mean, YES the lyrics on some of the songs are abit dodgy and YES some of the songs are abit repeative, but that album is fantastic bar 2 or 3 songs.

  • I absolutely love Be Here Now, my favorite after DM and Morning Glory. I would've had D'you Know What I Mean? but that's a really long song, but they couldve easily fit Stand By Me in. And Liam wanted Don't Go Away on STC as noted in Lock the box

  • i personally would've also put on All Around The World, It's Getting Better Man, Fade In-Out and Be Here Now.

Be Here Now is the most underrated album in history, and it drives me nuts when Noel puts it down. to me, i think he only does that to try to please the critics.

  • Yeah...there were too many tracks left off Stop the Clocks...but I don't think that their are any tracks on it that should definitely not be on it.

I think that we have to remember that Oasis isn't over...they are gonna have to put out out a Best of album part 2 eventually.
