I had one of those back in the early 90s. That's just one of the hydraulic tappets being slow to pump up, just switch to synthetic oil and that will go away very quickly after starting. I used 5w40. Dishonest dealer in Darlington, County Durham, tried to tell me it was a little end. I love those engines.
