Like if a cop in LA goes a few months with out giving a single ticket then that officer is not doing his job. But is he has a quota that he needs to fill then he will always be looking where he can give a ticket

I like to think of police as a tax on society, the more cops are on the streets the higher the tax is , and believe me the 5 or 600 dollar ticket you get for going ten miles over the speed limit but moving at the same speed as traffic is bs!! Giving police quotas they must meet for tickets given is despicable not to mention insurance costs. And its not just a matter of do the right thing and you wont be bothered there are so many laws now that its nearly impossible to not be breaking one.

I too saw this in person. The coolest part is after the demo, as the drivers hop out of their cars to wave to the audience, one driver's long blond hair tumbles out! SHE was awesome and got a huge applause from the gals in the crowd! Go CHP!! You ROCK!

@tommay11, Although it says "5.0" on the side of the car, here it is referring to body style only. Those Foxbody Mustangs were custom built for the CHP and carry the supercharged 5.9 (360 cid)  that Ford later used to power the F150 Lightning. The rollcage is Ford Factory installed and the suspension is custom for the CHP mustang as well. The gearbox is a 6 speed manual capable of winding out to a (theoretical) 240 mph, though no-one has ever had the balls (or the space) to test that theory.
