Frank Zappa if he were alive today he would be the person I'd like to talk to about why the people that our on ssi, ssd, ssa, have not gotten a cost of living raise since 2009. He's the type of person that could get it for us!
I love how the audience cheered after he said 'I already used Suzy for something else', like he was making a cheeky sexual reference. His expression says 'What the hell are these idiots cheering about? I was talking about Suzy Cream Cheese...'
Frank really seems to get along well with Arsenio, and Arsenio's audience... usually he looks a little reluctant to be on these types of shows, here he seems to be in good spirits and having a good time.
.That's probably because black people who know of Zappa, had respect for his no-bullshit attitude and his bravery on speaking out against America's excess. We also respect that he always hired black musicians in his band and had a healthy respect for jazz and black r n b....
Arsenio didnt like the imitation black child voice Zappa did..but the audience loved it. But only Zappa would go on a black show and do that.

I think that what happened was. When election day finally arrived a lot of people maybe didn't Obama that much, had really decided that they didn't like McCain at all and said, "ok I gotta vote for somebody, give it to guy who is farthest from Bush"
Zappa is surly one of the only ORIGINAL THINKERS on the planet.
to take his ignorance idea one step further. Ignorance may well be Americas last survival instinct. case in point BP oil ? . . . good to the last drop.
starting around the 7 minute mark, could someone enlighten me as to which song of his they're talking about? (its the song about Michael Jackson) Please forgive me oldschool Zappa fans, I've recently been enlightened!
zappa was always good at dealing with idiots... the man never lost his temper... you don't argue with FZ... he kept his cool, while YOU ended up looking stupid... i only wish i could be more like him... i'm practicing... it's always good to emulate a genius... better to be like FZ than tupac, no???
I think Frank was WAY too intellectual to be on Arsenio. It looked like a few times Arsenio had no idea what to say. Asking a genius like Zappa why he gave his kids the names he did? WTF. He should have stuck with his mindless drivel and fluff that his barking, howling ignorant audience ate up.
Brilliant !!! Amazing !!! Frankie boy was complaining about the last 4 yrs of the government .... you've missed the last 20 of real disaster ... R.I.P. Frankie ...
Dems keep setting records for f ing it up faster. The new leader has already set a faster record in 1/4 of the time than his predecessor Czarter before him. By the time "impeach Bush" is out of the Dems mouths, impeachment will have been completed for the new leader.
Zappa says it all: "how can any one party make that many mistakes.?" One thing you can always say about the Zap: hes astute.
Arsenio got booted off of TV shortly after the LA riots and he make racist remarks against white people " black people don't beat white people even though you want to show them how it feels" That was one of Arsenio's comments on TV I saw during the riots. He is a racist jackass.
He's the one who brought up Michael Jackson at a time when some of the wierdness was happening. What did he expect, he is asking FZ and it was funny. Arsenio acted like and did shoot himself in the foot!
wow this is prolly the most relaxed and chipper zappa interview i've ever seen, even with his sickness. he seems to really like arsenio, which surprises me though i don't know why.
He was not sick here. Frank always had dark circles under his eyes. He was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer in 1990 and died in 1993, this is 4 years earlier.
@gmcjetpilot If he was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 1990, he probably had it at this time (1989) and didn't know it. In an interview, Frank talked about how angry he was when they told him he had cancer because he had been to doctors about urinary problems he'd had for years and they missed it until it was too late to do anything about it.
Wow, that's the same thing that happened to Bush and Kerry, what Zappa said at 5:30 and so on. People didn't like Bush, but when all the shit that was happening then, people thought Kerry would be too much of a wuss to handle it, so they gave it to George Jr. We didn't regret that at all, did we, America? *Rolls Eyes*.
i highly disagree.Zappa was have seen thru Obama just like one looks thru a clean window. He would have seen him for the corrupt-puppet leader that he is.
when Frank quips how he already used Suzie for something else,Arsenio laughs when you know good and well he knows not in the slightest wtf Frank is talking about..seems like Frank was courtous yet caught the moment and paused a bit just so those in the know could absorb this moment of phoniness...classic
Zappa never took credit for anything he didn't do. He always gave credit where credit is due, and did his best to help people out. He was nice, intelligent, and modest (but not to the point of being self-conscious). He was generous, and is easily one of my favorite people in the world. I don't care that he died, though. Because legends live on, and the impact he had on the world just won't die, whether or not he cared to be remembered. The fact is, he will be. And so will all of his work.
Uncle Meat is also actually the name Frank gave Essra Mohawk when he invited her in The Mothers. She of course went on to record the landmark Reprise albuum PRIMORDIAL LOVERS and write CL's "Change of Heart."
