I have a trex500 with 2090 flights/9 crashes. I would highly recommend upgrading the main shaft bearing blocks with the KDE direct part. It has a thrust bearing, because you will regularly wearout the main shaft radial bearing even if you don't crash. If you do a lot of 3d inverting. If not, don't worry.
Tell me which 500 ? CF ? do you have a metal head? servos ? you are using a 401 great gyro + blades?... paddles? brand names how long are your Blades you are using? thanks for commenting
Man you got all the goody build in, sound like your in good already. Most all the stuff I put on is bling not necessary. I would invest in some good blades because IMHO blades make a world of difference. Charles
Hey Charles its been a month now and I still cant decide between the 500 or the 600? How bout some advice. And also the radio? By the way nice video. It looks like its easy to fly, but I heard its not easy. Its 1st time if ever for me flying a heli. My experience is only on the RC off & on road, nitro and electric. Is the kit hard to built?
If money is no problem bigger is better. There's a lot to learn, building isn't a problem if your like me but learning to fly, building, programing the radio, expos epa's knowing if it is you or something your not doing is a brain fart. I think getting a RTF is the way to go, not a kit. I like my radio 6EX but I would rather have one like the 7C Futaba. The only other thing is that helis are kind of scary like flying a lawnmower with no cover if it gets out of control it gets SCARY. Charles

I fixed up mine too with all the bling parts.Don't forget the Chinese tail weights. If you are doing 3D you really need these.
