  • oh to live in this world....at least i can dream about it.....

  • Imagine waking up in this world one day I would jump off the nearest high place I could find

  • Funny to see how the humans inside those costumes cannot mimmic the four legged motion of most land animals. That's because the legs are too close and the torso is to short to have a nice gallop. They should have watched giraffes more carefully as an example.

  • I'm glad i'm not the only chick who's not scared of this movie.

  • I want one of those.

  • lol landstriders look so unco

  • this is so fuckin dumb dude likei dont even know my freind made me watch this like 3 mins of my life ima never get back.....

  • crab bunneh :)

  • if it makes you feel any better, i wanna dress like jen, but imma girl... i thought it would just be really funny, goin to an anime con and all.

  • You need stilts for both arms and legs

  • love this movie. Anyone else find land striders to be inspired by the Imperial Walkers of star wars empire strikes back two years earlier in 1980?

  • @RageOfTheTiger, No, not really. Your comment reminded me of the horror film, "Phantasm" and "Star Wars" being released around the same time in the late 70's.

Both films had these creepy, hooded dwarves that were almost identical. Turns out nobody stole from nobody. It was all coincidence.

  • I was always afraid of them growing up, now i'm very interested in them

  • They had (have?) one of the Landstrider puppets on display at the backlot tour at WDW Hollywood Studios. It creeped me the hell out as a kid.

  • Just like giant roaches with crutches for legs.:)

  • this movie is incredible. its a shame that shitty cgi will prevent a movie like this to ever be made again

  • @DW8807 Hear hear! I want to make another sci-fi movie with awesome animatronics... and some CGI that's not shitty!

  • This movie scared the crap out of me when I was a kid.

  • did you ever figure out how to do this costume? my roommate just built stilts for it.

  • @grapehyacinth Nope, I stopped after building the stilts.. See my Halloween Video

  • @grapehyacinth go check out general tampon he did something very similar

  • My 2 year old thinks that Landstriders remind him of big rabbits.

  • AND! AND! they must be pretty specialised eaters, having no neck.

  • @jw2327 if you notice in the fight seen they have a long barbed proboscis. It's my theory, having a high metabolism that they drink nectar.

  • lol kira is japanese for killer

  • @jointhez nah it's just the english but pronounced by japs

  • @jointhez KIRA JANAI!!!!!!1111

  • These land striders look like giraffe bats.

  • i love Landstriders so cute

  • i love when kira calls them!!!!!!!

  • I tried to watch this but I've been afraid of these friggin creatures since I was little. I'm such a baby either way the movie is epic.

  • Oh wow! This movie (or show) looks pretty damn cool!! I've never seen this before, when did this come out?

  • The Dark Crystal (1982)

  • it's a really good movie, used to watch it all the time when i was younger lol

  • Yesss! the landstriders! hahaha, people on stilts!

  • THERE'S A BABY LANDSTRIDER!!

  • In the movie, all three of the landstider get killed by Garthim

    : (

  • No, only the two that they were riding got killed. The baby landstrider (and I think there was another adult) were left behind.

Secondly, Keyth - What "floppy ears"?! They don't have any external ears! Those long things that look like rabbit ears are their shoulder blades!

  • No those aren't their shoulder blades, those are there ears, lol xD

  • @majewsmovies Except they only had two with them, they left the baby behind :P

  • @majewsmovies no only two of them thankfully. i think two other striders were left behind. we know for sure they didn't take the baby with them so it's safe.

  • This movie was pure hell to make and a joy to watch, a true labor of love for all the world to enjoy for timeless ages to come. I hope.

  • Why would their ears be attached to their shoulder and not their head?

  • Who knows - praying mantids have their ears on their elbows.

  • @Neiko410 IT was....The Landstriders..where held up by cables..I know people were underneath the costumes...I remember seeing how it was made..THIS took a long time to make..and was a pain in the ass to do so...

  • Im sure iv seen a huge costume of this somewhere......I think it was at some music workshop with school last year....
