The interesting thing about Bergeron is that he has among the best (if not the best) low ranges of the big-name solo trumpet players... and yet he says that it was always his weakness/he learned double C before low C.

Just goes to show what hard work and practice can do, as well as the fact that so many trumpet players forget they have anything below a high G once they get into the stratosphere.

Funny how Wayne's sound always records. His sound is very directional and compact sounding on almost all recordings I've heard, but live it's much warmer and huge and round. The cool thing though, is how they are both so effective.
