Well, unlike most of the guys who would nowadays comment on F1 I still remember Badoers tears on the Nürburgring in 1999 after he had retired due to problems with his MINARDI from 4TH POSITION which he had been defending without any grater difficulties & with just 13 more laps to go. Interestingly enough Marc Gené, who nowadays is also a Ferrari test driver & is by many considered a much better & faster driver was driving the very same Minardi but keeping in on 7th pos only till Badoer's ret.

Not really. Marc Gene wasn't the slowest ever, there were some others like Alex Yoong etc. I'm not a fan of Marc Gene, not at all. But I was just agreeing on discussions by F1 commentators that I've heard during LIVE race in Belgium. Marc Gene is not a good driver either, but perhaps he could do better than Badoer, who's unluckily nicknamed as 'LookHow BadYouAre' (Luca Badoer). I've never impressed with Badoer, though he's been with Ferrari as test-driver for almost 12 years & had some experience in F1 racing. But I think it's a little unfair to condemn his performances in the 2 GPs he raced when he hasn't involved in any professional F1 racing for 10 years. Test-driving is totally different from racing. So I guess to adapt well in F1 racing, he should be a professional race driver due to the fact that GP racing is so demanding.

i know he couln't practice enough, and because of that he souldn't be allowed to race, but why the hell do they take a guy who is compleatly out of shape and haven't driven formula like racing in 10 years, only test runs. A GP2 racer tastes like a F1 car just not as powerfull, but the GP2 drivers know how to compete and a young driver from GP2 would take the chance to the limit and do ANYTHING to do good to make the F1 teams get the eyes on him. I don´t think it was bad luck. What put him in shadows was Senna, Prost and other very good pilots. By that time he only was a young man among giants. The Schumacher showed up and the history of that we know.. Seven times championship. But he´s a very important man at Ferrari´s team now.
