also i had problems with this plane in the past and signal loss also and came to the conclusion that the shape of the jet is causing the problem i tried 3 different radios and several receivers before i figured out that i didnt have enough vissible antenna i ended up needing almost a foot of antenna hanging out of the plane before my signal losses went awayi had a prob with 2.4 untill i poked holes for the antennas to pop out of the body
to each his own but i would put it back together it looks like from the spar foward is good so i would either rebuilt rearend or glued the rear end back together with hot glue and tooth picks also get rid of your 6.3x4 combat prop (im guessing slowfly prop) and get a 6x4e apc prop they are much much different the way they are made.
I still got lockouts on 2.4 with the cheaper spektrum receivers, and I'm aware of several other people at our field too. Even with the 6200. I have not had any problems with the AR7000 though.
No range check? gotta do that even with 2.4

Oh man, that sucks. Have you tried coroplast & hot glue? It will never break like this.

Oh man! Yeah, thats how I went to 2.4 too. Lost a plane from an old radio. Nice build though, it sure looked good!
