It's a matter of opinion, but this is one of the best RPGs on the system, right up there with Final Fantasy VII in my eyes. I could play this game forever and find something new about it each time. Like... that an Onion can be made into the best tank ever. That rabbits are blind, but very smart. And to never ever trust horses. Life lessons there.

I don't think its the best ever, but I am a bigger BOF fan than I am the other RPGs. Mainly because the main character turns into a dragon. I love that so much. BoF2 was by favorite.I love the plot line in 2 along with the mini-games. A frigging corrupt religion ftw.However they do make way too many battles pop up in the first three games. Seriously in BoF1 and 2 it was ridiculous. 3 steps battle 2 steps battle...It was so bad I started abusing the marble3 and then I got weak for the bosses.

You're fucking nuts! FF7 is the greatest rpg ever made, beat it 4 times and trying to beat it a 2nd time this year alone. Also played Wild Arms this year, and I have to say it's the worst rpg I've ever played, got 40 hours in and had to quit because it was so bad. I only played it so much because i was determined to beat it.

Both FF7 and BOF3 are good IMO.

I'm surprised he didn't complain about the graphics, FF7 made a jump to 3D while BOF3 ended up 2D with a few 3D elements. Also the lack of voice acting. He rant about FF7 gameplay and wanted it to be less like a RPG. I guess he somewhat got used that RPGs are going to be the same.

If he is going to complain about random encounters and text in every single RPG review, viewers would quickly get tired of that. I wonder how those Maryland people surive this show

If you don't like RPGs you shouldnt play them, because Grinding and Character/Plot Development are the fundation of the Genre. Watch a movie instead, they dont make you read or press buttons.

And there has been but only 5 BoF games in the series while FF has had 13 titles + multiple Spin offs. I've always thought though that the plot in BoF was always far superior to FF's, up until the point of 6/9. But god was this a great game <3

@DamirSemiz I hope suikoden is better than suikoden 2... I couldn't stop seeing plot holes.... every time the plot evolves, the plot holes also evolved. Then its got those annoying alternate endings. I don't see what people like about those. You play for 8 hours, then you find out that something 4 hours in caused one of the most likable characters in the game to die... And the only way to get the good ending without playing the game 20 times over is by using a walkthrough.

Breath of Fire is a great series, I only played 1 (when i was like 3 or 4 lol) and 2 (when I downloaded it from the wii channel), 2 is excellent, but I wonder why do they change the companies? Instead of the possibility of it being on N64 it was on PS1

I could not get into part 8, part 9 sucked balls. 10 was annoyin' because of the protagonist always cryin'. 11 was never released. So pretty much after that I did not keep up with th series any more. All the FF games on super nintendo, were not as appealin' as the BOF games. On sega Genesis I liked the shining force series.

O.K. Final Fantasy 7 is the beat game I have ever played in my life. The only Game that comes slose to it is "Skies of Arcadia". But I love the breath of fire series. I have all 5 of them. Sorry 2 say it but, I do not like the 5th one. How ever the first for R memorable and hard 2 forget. I like Breath of fire 4 the best though.

BOF3 had memorable characters and a fairly interesting plot. The pace of the game made every part enjoyable and relaxing. It WAS very interactive and had an interesting battle system (I mean how you ha masters and could customize skills). And of course--there was the dragon... KAISER + SUPER COMBO!!!

However, the characters didn't really have the depth of those in FF7. FF7 was an epic with phenomenal characters and a pretty riveting plot. Forgive me, since I love the BOF3 soundtrack--But it sounds like elevator music when compared to the FF7 soundtrack. FF7 was prettier, had far more additional features (chocobo breeding and racing, materia finding, finding all those darn posters).
