I made the Jerk Chicken and the rice and peas for my family and it was a hit!!!! Thanks for the awesome tutorial and recipes!! This was our first time having jerk chicken and Jamaican style "rice and peas". I used the jerk seasoning ingredients from your other video. The video where you grilled the chicken.
@brownskinned much appreciated, any beer should do the trick, if you drink it, you'll probably enjoy cooking with it. just stay away from the stouts, i like those better with red meat, and yeah nothing too bitter in taste...enjoy
Awww this looks so good! I'm half Jamaican(Coolie) but I was never raised around anyone that cooked the food. All of my Fam that cooks it are in other states or Europe & I'm tired of going to the Jamaican restaurants giving them my $ when I can cook it at home. I subbed and will be trying this recipe this weekend.
I am gonna make this looks very good. I moved from up north to the south and we have no jamaican resturants here. Thanks for the recipe. And who is singing this song in the background? Luv it and thanks again.
@cjaysgrl Thanks, i have done different variations of this since then, my net post will be another jamaican dish. song is by Tarrus Riley "superman" check it out. Adrian
Made this dish tonight. Very interesting taste. Not the taste I was expecting but may try it again with regular rice.
