  • Up until a few minutes ago, I would not listen to anyone else's version of this song but William Warfield's. Now this man comes along, I know not from where, and I find myself weeping, transported. There are a thousand dimensions here, gorgeous overtones, delicate balance, and an accompaniment that loves the music.

  • Yes, check amazon under 'Copland old American songs.' There are various artists and choirs who have recorded these. I don't see any by Thomas Allen, however.
