If you have not yet realized, there is no such thing as "CATO standards" for Drum Major/Mace Drill.
All Mace drill should follow a CF publication called the CFP 202 CF Bands and Marches. In addiiton to that, it has not been updated since 1993. It also has only a very brief description of saluting with mace; it does not standardize the distance of the mace from the drum major's foot.

cato standards state that the mase is to be on the out side of the left boot with the arm fully extended and parallel with the body

This is "General Salute" sort of fanfare for the Canadian Force. followed my the Royal Anthem of Canada "God Save the Queen".
