  • @PhilharmonicJack

yes i am going to ACR and what rank did you age out as?

  • the drum majors salute is a bit off the mase is to far forward need to bring it in a little bit just so it can meet cato standards but other than that good job to the band

  • @crazy2252

Maybe you would like to tell me what's the CATO Standards for Drum Major? I had never heard of that before actually.

    (= ̄ω ̄=)

  • @PhilharmonicJack

cato standards state that the mase is to be on the out side of the left boot with the arm fully extended and parallel with the body

  • @crazy2252

oh really? and maybe you can also show me where to find your reference?

    (= ̄ω ̄=)

  • tgsb 08 and that short for trenton general service band

  • @crazy2252

oh well, nvm. I will clarify it.

If you have not yet realized, there is no such thing as "CATO standards" for Drum Major/Mace Drill.

All Mace drill should follow a CF publication called the CFP 202 CF Bands and Marches. In addiiton to that, it has not been updated since 1993. It also has only a very brief description of saluting with mace; it does not standardize the distance of the mace from the drum major's foot.

reference: myself, a StdsO/DMus in some cadet corp.

  • @wahyanite

not sure what you're referring to.

This is "General Salute" sort of fanfare for the Canadian Force. followed my the Royal Anthem of Canada "God Save the Queen".

    (= ̄ω ̄=)

  • What's the march for the General Salute? Sounds like "Sha Tau Kok" from the Royal Hong Kong Police

  • Nice, I am Cpl. Ritz 779 Black Night Squadron
