The Asus EEPC has double RAM, 5 times double Flash Drive, and is 0,66 Ghz faster then the iPad 2. And that's just one of the millions Windows tablets. I can compare 2 desktop PC's price's with 1 ipad... and still 1 of these PC's has 10 billion times better specifications.

Yeah, keep in mind this was like 2 years ago. It's not like I just went out and bought it. It was my first computer that I bought, so didn't need a powerhouse. But when it say's its vista capable and it can't even run smooth, there's a problem. Sure my specs aren't very good, but I am by no means the only person having problems with it. But putting that aside, OSX has more features that I actually use. All the "features" that Vista has I never use. You enjoy your PC while I'm on my mac.

Well said. I can see how the Mojave experiment would be tightly controlled too. In other words, there's good chance that these 'Mojave' machines are probably tricked out in specs where as most of the disgruntled users don't usually pack more than 2GB of RAM, which any person that has ever used Vista, knows that it barely runs it comfortably and then there's the more important issue of retro-compatabilty of programs. The mojave experiment couldn't possibly reconcile that part of PC usage.

yeah 1999.......that was 11 years ago...times have changed. My specs aren't that great (if you want them ask), but if I could run leopard on my PC it run a shitload better than vista, and deliver pretty much the same power (minus gaming, but I don't game so whatever). And my mom's macbook is 2.4Ghz, intel core 2 duo, 2GB of ram, and a 250GB hard drive. Not bad for a laptop. All the programs open up wicked fast. Much faster than my PC.

If they had been told it was Vista they would have sat down looked for the bad things. Does the age really have anything to do with the comercial. Because i use them almost daily at school. They are white Macbooks. All the speed tests I've seen on the web, the Mac has won. And if you check your PM's, the link i sent you, that test was done on an iMac with half the ram as the PC. The processor was a littrle faster, but still. I Don't own a Mac, but I do own a PC and it sucks. I only have 1GB of ram, but an OS shouldn't need more than 1GB to run smoothly.

yeah, and it cost me 850 bucks. Doesn't happen on macs. All Mac's are great quality and built well. If i knew about macs when i got this computer, I would have much rather spent an extra 500 bucks on a computer that wouldn't suck in a year. Look at the resell value on PC's. It sucks because nobody wants them. People say PC's are cheaper, but in the long run, the price is the same. Once you get good enough specs to run windows smoothly, you could have bought a mac because it is a much lighter OS.

well you are going to have to install an OS eventually. once OS's get a lot of info on them and they are old, the system slows down and have effects, no matter what OS you are using. Windows just typically does this faster and with more side effects.

my cousin's had windows 98, they upgraded to XP professional, now the comp was worse than b4, anyways they had to do a system recovery to get windows 98 back, but they threw away the comp and got like 1 new comp, and like 4 laptops. and my friend upgraded his xp to vista, not like the vista preinstalled, i would rather buy a new comp, once xp is outdated, i'm buying a new comp

well going to xp made it worse because a computer running 98 isnt made to run xp unless you upgrade it like crazy. It has old parts and old drivers. But buy a mac man, you wont be disappointed

macs rocks, now even though i don't have a mac, i want one, macs they don't get viruses, you can run 99% windows apps. on your mac, without restarting, now once i get a mac, i will still have 1 PC, just because most programs are for PC's, and i have some games for the PC (halo, GTA VC, GTA 3), that is the only reason i will get a PC, but other than that, macs, cuz you can run 99% of windows apps.

lol im on a PC right now. Im sick of it. Its not just apple fanboys that spread stuff about microsoft (no, im not a fanboy), but everyone that has problems with vista ditches it.
