How beautiful and marvelous!! I've also visited the castles, the village, and Wieskirche in winter time, and everything was covered with snow*^-^* The area is just stunning and makes everyone feels like prince/ss. What King Ludwig II did for the country and the people might be incorrect, but what he created and left to us is so amazing!! Thank you so much for making and sharing this beuatiful video with lovely music*^-^* many*******
I made the same trip... I'm assuming you took the GreyLine tour? That hike up to the castle was something else when it was 91 degrees outside. The stop for shopping was nice, the owners of that shop must LOVE GreyLine tours for bringing thousands of visitors there every year. I'm guessing that tiny shop is one of the most profitable in the region. Thanks for the post
Was hat diese Musik mit Ludwig von Bayern und seinen SChlössern zu tun? Das möchte ich gerne einmal wissen! Ludwig liebte Wagner, jedenfalls nicht dieses Zuckergeblase.
Someone was filming when they weren't supposed to... ;) lol, I only know because I went to take a picture and the tourguide reminded me that photography is only allowed 'out the windows' :P
But still... amazing footage. :D I loved this castle. I had coffee in it ^^
the best time actually is june/july/august. july and august are the "hottest" months of the year (it gets around 30°) but there are more tourists than in june. best regards!
The "Sun King"was Louis XIV of France, not Louis IX. The latter was a Roman Catholic Saint and lived in the Middle Ages. (Saint Louis, roi de France).
The clocks you can see in Linderhof are origin from King Luis IX (the french sun-king) and the piano was used by Richard Wagner - the best friend of King Ludwig II. Behind Linderhof there is a big grotto with a blue lake inside where Ludwig used to listen Wagner-music.
@Cre7tiv Thank you very much for your information. I didn't know^^ I visited the inside of Schloss Linderhof, but haven't visited the garden yet. I would love to visit the 'Venus Grotto' and Peacock throne in the Moorish Kiosk one day^^ Ludwig II had a really expensive and splendid taste^^
Great video, it brings back memories or my visits in 1993 and 1995. The little town is actually spelled Oberammergau, and it's nicely done up for the tourists. Neuschwanstein is an amazing castle that was never finished, it's still "under construction."
ueberkandidelt! und ludwig hat den bayrischen staat durch sein dauerndes bauen ruiniert
alles etwas kitschig. aber ich liebe hohenschwangau!
