Tag hauling is THE apex of Truckin ability, not for the timid sorts.... I personelly will stick with my B-double work..... way less stress.. nice vid :)
What is the compagny? How munch do a heavy hauler in the oil field in canada earn per season ? I'm a trucker willing to go west, any help would be great.
@FreeWillFreeRide The Company is Mammoet, which specializes in heavy lifting and transport. They have offices around the world, with it's Western Canada Head Office in Edmonton. Heavy Haulers make pretty good coin but have a have added certification on their license, to be able to operate with the large dimensional loads. I look at their site and the are not currently hiring any drivers at the moment.
On july 11th 2009 my brother Markus Bott was assassinated after having been tortured during five and a half year by the german Bundesnachrichtendienst which was known before as the Gestapo. The Bundesnachrichtendienst today uses the secret weapons developed during the Third Reich for brainwashing and torture. Some description of these techniques is given on my youtube channel as well.
earn money online check my vid can earn upto 50 pound a day (depends how long ur on) just for clicking surveys ( and clicking yes/no questions) /watch?v=ePyIqcaPGIg ... or click my name
I saw one of the coker drums being hauled up to Ft. Mac. and I counted 350 tires on the trailers. Also, there was 1 truck pulling and 2 pushing. When they got to the hills nearer Ft. Mac, there were 2 trucks pulling and 3 or 4 pushing.
it was 2.1 million lbs if I'm not mistaken...just over 1000 ton. I heard it was the largest, heaviest load ever hauled on Canadian public roads. They hauled it over 500km
@onebadsavage26 That's a big load, alright! For the coker I saw them hauling, that 500+ km trip took 9 days, if I remember correctly. No traffic could drive in either direction on the highway while it was in transit, because it took up the entire road. They would park it at roadside turnouts and move it only on days when traffic was light, thereby avoiding huge traffic jams because on shift-change days at the mines traffic is ridiculously heavy between the Fort and Edmonton..
@landlightning, I take it you live up here too(fort mac)? They had this parked at the wide spot and I got to go look at it close up. The video doesnt do it justice... it's huge!! I think it went to Voyager...where it now sits in mothballs.
@onebadsavage26 I used to live in Edmonton, and I logged up at CNRL one year, plus I've done other logging in the area, so I travelled through the Fort every so often, but never lived there. I checked one out up close as well, but I only had my crappy cell phone camera which later went kaput and took the pics with it, so I have nothing but my memory now. That was when I calculated that it had 350 wheels/tires on the trailers. That's about 30,000 pounds worth of tires alone!
@DoffyCoffy Im pretty sure 320 wheels could handle that, your 4 tires on you car alone could probably handle 3x the weight of your car, if not maybe more depending on what tires you have.
@xtraforte Its for turning those suckers, hard as hell the space allows a better turning radius, and the amount of axles have been engineered to handle the loads, also this is in CANADA not the states.
with a spmt you could steer every axle seperately and load it with 13,5 metric tons each. Here in Europe the spread is of minimal influende of the tonnage pro axle. You see most of these configurations in the Northern-American Continent. So nothing personal.
Oh no apologies needed, i had seen many people saying from the states so thats why i capatilized Canada so some might catch it and read that quickly i meant nothing of it towards you. As well im not sure how this spmt would work, but i hadnt really thought of that. Thank you for the enlightenment though ill need to look into that.
You could search here in Youtube with the words SPMT and MAMMOET. There are several links to small recordings of the machines i mean.
Can you tell me why the wide spreads is used in Canada and in the USA? more detailed please, or send me al link in which it is explained? Thanks for a well meant answer.
