Nice Job i,m glad to see your to are useing your ideas and useing a simple plan. And making changes as needed By tweeking it to your likeing. Seems no matter how well u plan time is the real test of what u have built, just when i think i have mine mastered i see something else that i could have done better. i,m working on a 2nd desine tracker right know to add more power into my home. Good luck with your projects.
@Fearlessthinker yes, it will go higher and there is enough clearance . Having 2 sissors makes it a lot more stable and it isn't that hard to extend the threaded rod to the second one. The only thing I might change is right now I am using 3/8 inch threaded rod and might go to 1/2 inch. I'm dieing to see how it will move once the dual axis tracker is on it. Should be fun to watch. Still have to mount limit switches on sissors yet.
You are absolutely one of the most underwatched alternative energy channels on utube.

@jwwm2 Wasn't really trying to get a lot of people watching, just information for those who are interested on how I did the projects.

That is really cool! The dual scissors approach is very unique. Can you do the range you want with the 2nd axis?
