The lost boys, was without a doubt, a wonderful creation. was it not one of the best movies of the eighties? modern day times originality lacks so much, that most directors dig up old shit and TRY and revive it, if not make something of it. This film touch on B movie standards, i know i haven't seen it...but others might think along with me on this, the preview says enough. i eat my own dick if this film hit's it big.

Its due for a dvd release over here in the Uk in september as far as I know! If you dont want to wait, then I recommend you do what I'm doing.....buy a region 1 import. If you have a multi-regional dvd player then that could be a good plan.

For those of you who wanted this to make the big screen, I want to say thank you so much for all of your support! We fought valiantly, but unfortunately it was never meant to be.
I personally still believe that Warner Bros have dropped the ball by making this decision!

i totally love the original but from the trailer this looks like a straight to dvd film, i would hate to see this at the flicks and feel like its a cheap budget vampire film which happens to have the lost boys name to it. i hope the movie proves me wrong!!

i've followed everything on this movie. here's what i got. michael and star are killed off from the start. no they don't show up in the movie. their kids do, chris and nicole. nicole, much like her father starts turning. chris along with edgar frog go after the vamp bloodline to save her. mayhem ensues. corey feldman stars in it for 20 minutes. alan frog shows up briefly. also photos of haim surfaced showing him in vamp makeup. what in the world does that mean for his character?
do you all really think the wb reads emails from people? no they don't. they just simply delete them. only way to get their attention is by sending them actual snail mail. letters pile up and are more noticable then emails. if tons of letters arrived at the wb, they would get noticed. emails don't.
Thats quite the defeatist attitude you've got going on there! Corey Feldman himself has mentioned this video twice, so the interest that fans are showing is being noticed. You would have to be blind not to see the interest after all the views on the trailers and the plea!
If it's mediocre, which it has a high change of being in my opinion, taking the factors into consideration, it's going to make the classic original look bad.
The problem with some of you people...You'll just be happy to see a "II" behind The Lost Boys logo. I mean c'mon -- this "update" doesn't have the same Production value as the first film. Nor does it have the blessings of Joel Schumaucher or Richard Donner. I can only imagine the negotiations that went into greenlighting this Direct-to-DVD spectacle. Maybe this could be written off as a "side-adventure" of The Lost Boys. But eventually to do a real sequel with a better screenplay and Director.
Yeah, I saw the trailer of The Lost Boys II: The Tribe last week. I'm afraid this isn't a true sequel. Its more about Corey Feldman's character and Feldman's will to do another Lost Boys flick without the help from Joel Schumacher and Richard Donner. Even notice the Production quality of this film compared to the original. It screams literally Straight-to -DVD. I'm not trying to knock Indie films in general. I just I expected a similar feel of the original.
Exactly my point, its not about the Lost Boys, its about the Frog Bros and another crew of vamps. Why not call it return of the Frogs or something? The Lost Boys for its time was a really great movie and to make a sequel now seems somehow wrong.
Ha! If they had made this movie without any mentionings of the original whatsoever and just called it "The Tribe", you'd be screaming about it being "ZOMG THE BIGGEST LOST BOYS RIP-OFF EVARRRR~!" Give the movie, which, shockingly enough, is longer and more developed than the trailer, a chance before you completely rip it apart; it's not like Uwe Boll directed it.
I hope this film gets in theaters. I'd see it a few times. Sequels to old franchises have done well lately, and The Lost Boys deserves to join in on that fun.

yeah man! they're a big part of my childhood aswell! the likes of Stand By Me, The Goonies, The Lost Boys and License To Drive....all my childhood favourites! the Coreys deserve to be on the big screens again, and thats why I put this petition out there!

Now we all know Lost Boys was amazing! Really great. But 20 years later and deciding to do Lost Boys 2? Not too sure either. It may ruin it. Also if David and Michael arent in it it would be sad. But i'm a vamp fan so i would love to see Lost Boys 2 on the Big Screen. Just hope it has sexy guys and humour like the first one did. When will the DVD come out? Like the proper date. X

the date hasn't been announced yet! its seems that the WB haven't made up there minds on whether or not it will go to the big screen or direct-to-dvd.....this is implied at the end of the official trailers which read "coming summer 2008" instead of "coming to dvd summer 2008".
that alone is a very positive sign on the big screen front.

I'm from the UK too man, I'm doing it for us aswell as the US! I just think its utter crap that it will go straight to dvd instead of the big screen! alot of crap (like Shrooms) made it to the cinema, so why can't this?

Just incase you didn't know, 3 main names are returning....Corey Feldman, Corey Haim and Jamison Newlander which I think is really really great!
I've still got alot of hope that this will go to the big screen! Plus I TRUELLY believe that it deserves to be there!

With that being said...my main aim to get a theatrical run, so that I can enjoy it on a big screen with great sound....something that is near impossible (unless you're rollin in the benjamins) to recreate at home!

i've followed everything on this movie. here's what i got. michael and star are killed off from the start. no they don't show up in the movie. their kids do, chris and nicole. nicole, much like her father starts turning. chris along with edgar frog go after the vamp bloodline to save her. mayhem ensues. corey feldman stars in it for 20 minutes. alan frog shows up briefly. also photos of haim surfaced showing him in vamp makeup. what in the world does that mean for his character?

do you all really think the wb reads emails from people? no they don't. they just simply delete them. only way to get their attention is by sending them actual snail mail. letters pile up and are more noticable then emails. if tons of letters arrived at the wb, they would get noticed. emails don't.

The problem with some of you people...You'll just be happy to see a "II" behind The Lost Boys logo. I mean c'mon -- this "update" doesn't have the same Production value as the first film. Nor does it have the blessings of Joel Schumaucher or Richard Donner. I can only imagine the negotiations that went into greenlighting this Direct-to-DVD spectacle. Maybe this could be written off as a "side-adventure" of The Lost Boys. But eventually to do a real sequel with a better screenplay and Director.

Yeah, I saw the trailer of The Lost Boys II: The Tribe last week. I'm afraid this isn't a true sequel. Its more about Corey Feldman's character and Feldman's will to do another Lost Boys flick without the help from Joel Schumacher and Richard Donner. Even notice the Production quality of this film compared to the original. It screams literally Straight-to -DVD. I'm not trying to knock Indie films in general. I just I expected a similar feel of the original.

Ha! If they had made this movie without any mentionings of the original whatsoever and just called it "The Tribe", you'd be screaming about it being "ZOMG THE BIGGEST LOST BOYS RIP-OFF EVARRRR~!" Give the movie, which, shockingly enough, is longer and more developed than the trailer, a chance before you completely rip it apart; it's not like Uwe Boll directed it.

i'm guessing WB is now run by spoiled, coked-up yuppie 20-something assholes who didn't even see the original Lost Boys, because they were too young. how the HELL are you gonna make PURPOSELY straight-to-dvd sequel of a classic horror film 20 years later?? this should have been approached as a *BIG F'ING DEAL* It would have broke the box office weekend. but instead, WB just went, "uh, yeah...so here's Lost Boys 2 or whatever, you can NetFlix it if ya want..."

Maybe you can make your own custom LOST BOYS: The Tribe trailer, using some footage from the original, maybe bridge the 2 together, would be awesome. Keep it up man.
