@Kahlo69 From what I've read, the embargo that's been in place for almost two years now is why they are storing those railroad cars there. Because they can't get a locomotive out there due to the embargo, the cars have to sit there in "storage" indefinitely.
@Kahlo69 to make sure it is out of the way & besides as long as the cars are on live rail & if the tracks were messed up then they would not put them on there.
@Kahlo69 You store cars "way the fuck out there" because during the bad economy that has hit the US and Mexico during the last 4 years there were tens of thousands of cars in storage. Railroads were putting them EVERYWHERE and ANYWHERE.
