This show aired in the US on CBS hosted by Dick Clark and the rules on the Wonderwall is different you have 2 passes not just Pitstops and you have to answer within 15 seconds or you get a strike and 3 strikes and it's over and it involves money not a world class trip.
And there's a bailout button which you can press and end the game if you have 2 strikes or the clock is down to 15 seconds.
Interesting music. This show was tried in 2000 on CBS, but it only lasted ten episodes, one of which didn't even air! The Wonderwall was played for $1,000,000. In it, there were still the 2 pit stops, but in addition there were two passes. Also if you got 3 questions wrong, you lost. However, there was a bailout button you could press if you had two wrong answers or 15 seconds left. You could leave with what you had at that point. The host of the show was Dick Clark.
Hi westondaniel89, I have been looking for the tracks from Winning Lines for the past few years as well. If you have the tracks, would you mind sending them to me? I would be most grateful, coz they are really great tracks. Thanks a million.

@westondaniel89 Hey thanks for putting this up. I am a teacher and would love to play a version of winning lines in my classroom. The tracks that you may have can make it more authentic. Is it possible I can get these tracks?
I would love to hear this with the 15 second countdown clock and the initial "pitstop" before the clock and main music starts as the music is different on that part aswell. Used to love this show back in the day. It had a good run though from 1999 to 2004 i believe
@FactNotOpinion The initial pitstop & that ticking countdown at 15 seconds left used to give me nightmares where I was on the Wonderwall. I was between 5 & 10 when it used to air. This to me was one powerful piece of music.
@spongebot64 What makes the Wonderwall scary is that the answers move ominously side to side for 3 whole minutes on the TV. And all the music does is makes it even more ominous. The pitstops make the music play faster...
Hi thanks for your reply westondaniel89. Would it be possible to email me the tracks for Winning Lines or are they just in streaming format? I contacted the Strachans who composed the music ages ago about getting it but they didn't get back to me :-(

Round 1 in the UK version of Winning Lines uses the slightly remixed version of this theme tune.

This show would fit back nicely on bbc 1 if it had a nice revamp, new set, and pehaps a new round :)

This is the most ominous sound track in a game show I know. Not helped by the fact it speeds up every time you use a pit stop...

@SyntaxMagenta I was scared about the first round when I was an infant, when the people that got it wrong, disappeared into the dark.
