Knute Rockne moved here from Norway, to Chicago, fell overboard off the boat when he was five years old, in 1887 (the year ND began playing football). His nose was broke during a h.s. baseball game, when somebody hit him with a ballbat. Things were tough in Chicago even in the 1800's. He worked at Cedar Point during the summer, with his friend and QB, Gus Dorais, perfecting the forward pass to beat a heavily favored Army in 1913, God Bless the Rock!

@ndfaithful First of all I don't know if it's supposed to be an insult that Irish fans are all drunks but... It's not.. That's like calling a tree a tree? You are only complimenting the culture thanks.. And also it is extremely cute and flattering how you come up with all the stories even though they are not really funny and cheesy...
