The "coon" records of the early 1900's are now, understandably, considered racially offensive but they pale in comparison to the present day gangster rap lyrics.

Exactly. This song would be considered "EXTREME HATE SPEECH" according to a lot of people these days, meanwhile there's rap music about killing white people, and no one gives that a second thought.
