Good job dude!i still do not understand the technique you use with the floyd rose to make that sound so unique that sounds like a cricket.you should post a tutorial just for that part. Grettings from Mexico!!!
Damn true BOO fan right there my man playing lees and jasons guitar haha that's awesome after I saw them playing that it has also become my dream guitar! I've played the 6 string version at guitar center and it was amazing and I'm sure the 7 string sounds insane! How much did you purchase that for? The 6 string was $2400!
@C4RPETFR3SH Thanks dude. Believe it or not, I got this guitar without even knowing Lee had the exact same one. I had wanted an EBMM JP guitar for a long time because all of my favorite guitarists were using them, like AJ Minnette, Lee and Jason, Misha Mansoor, and Petrucci of course. But yeah it sounds amazing. It was around the $2600 range
@C4RPETFR3SH that made absolutely no sense, if somene bought this guitar because of the guitarists in BOO then they are fucking retarded. People buy the guitar because of John Petrucci dude..
dude sick cover. only video up on here that actually does those flutters and dip correctly. im interested in how that jp7 hold its tuning? o.O im literally stumped its not a floyd it looks like a vintage trem set. any insight?
@MrPH03N1X666 Thanks, it's actually a JPXI not a JP7, the bridge is a Piezo floating trem. It's somewhat similar to a floyd rose. It has locking tuners on the actual tuning pegs which makes it stay in tune really well. The trem/bridge is not as.. say, flexible, as a floyd but it's a floating bridge that goes up and down and doesnt mess up your tuning. You can check out music-man's website for all the specs and stuff. Hope I helped a little!
You got a lesson from Lee at that show? I got one from Jason. Haha. He taught me the solo to Devastate and that ridiculous riff in Regenerate among other things (like Last Straw). What'd Lee teach you?
@ThrashDeth17 That's awesome, I think I may have saw you walking in with Jason in the middle of the show if you had an Ibanez. But yeah, Lee didn't really show me any complicated solos like that but he taught me a few riffs in general from Abstract Art, Empires Erased, Devastate, and he showed me how to do that cool riff from this song with the flutter on the tremolo
Yupp, that was me walking with Jason. I didn't really need riffs taught to me cause I can just figure them out by ear... But the damn solos... Hahaha,
@ThrashDeth17 Yeah I can see how that would come in handy haha most of the time guitar pro files and tabs arent 100% accurate, best way is to learn from the source I suppose haha. But as you probably know Lee isn't the "shredder" of Born of Osiris so he just taught me stuff he thought helped with technique and improve playing in general. We also talked a lot about gear and playing styles. It was pretty awesome
@mikethebombdigz Thanks, yeah the guitar is really nice. Anything put out by EBMM is well worth the money and you can't go wrong with any of the JP sigs
@andylunt2 Thanks for the comment man! Yep this guitar is pretty awesome, probably best guitar I've ever played. And yeah I guess I'm not a "6 string bender" anymore haha
