Bro, can i just have a .wav file of that kick and snare? i'll give you props. i am looking for nice punchy and snappy dubstep perecussion and this is just what i need.
@SechahMusic if your using ableton but an audio effect rack on the end of your chain put in a vocoder set it to noise turn up the release and play with everything else then coppy the chain in the audio effect rack and delete the vocoder on the second chain. the first chain will give you a long white noise and the second chain will be the regular snare then mix the two chains together. if you dont have ableton....um....yer fucked....lol JKKKK but that technique works well with ableton
Well... yes it depends on the samples a lot, but the "trick" for that "wooden" sounding is the "secret" of this upcoming tutorial! No biggie though. Please be excited! :)
@Letssynthesize exactly! you dont even know how much time ive been looking for a tutorial like this, ive been trying to do it for months now, hopefully this tutorial will enlighten me lol.
I think he already may have done one on the growl sounds. Step one, do regular vocal growls into a mic, step 2 pitch it down in a sampler 1 to 2 octaves, step 3, add a bitcrusher and wha la. You can make you own....
Its waaaaaaay complicated (5 layers with hundreds of effects), not that easy as the one you could have seen in my tutorial video. I even still don't know how I made it! :)

You used slighty pitched up kick layered under snare?
VatsgyMusic 1 month ago
@VatsgyMusic
Unfortunatelly that wouldn't work for a snare. Wrong way of thinking.
