I guess you saw the interview with Ringo where he spoke about covering the drums with a towel.Excellent work making it real. Very brave attempting this. I'd say you should at least get 8 1/2 out of 10. Considering 10 is the Beatles that's damn good! Thanks for posting.
@jhmc12 mean mr mustard is only 1:10 long but it was record as part of the abbey road medley which consisted
of you never give your money, sun king, mean mr mustard, polythene pam, she came in thought the bathroom window, golden slumbers, carry that weight and finally the end. it was edited/recorded as if it was only one song as theres no pauses between any of the songs, and i decided that i only wanted to do this song. the rhythm guitar is not part of the original there for i did not put it in.
@legolas35653 for recording mean mr mustard and ploythene pam they were not recorded as one but sun king and mean mr mustard were and also ploythene pam and bathroom window were as one. as the story goes on the day of mixing and mastering abbey the sequence for the medley was you never give me your money, sun king, mean mr mustard, her majesty, ploythene pam, bathroom window, golden slumbers, carry weight, and the end mccartney decided he didnt like it that so he told the engineer that day to
destroy it but the engineer told to never to throw anything away so after the group left the recording studio that day he picked it up off the ground spliced 14 seconds of leader tape onto the final mix reel, and then spliced in Her Majesty. any thats were the last note of mean mr mustard on the first chord of her majesty.
