@Ashtraygal I can understand what he says when I read it. However, when I'm listening to any song of his it's a little hard for me to understand each and every word, but I have that difficulty with some English songs as well since for singing people sometimes mess with how they pronounce words :) Either way, he is absolutely amazing. That I believe we can all agree on. :3
@Ashtraygal I understand a little bit of what he's singing without help, but for the most part I have to look up/do translations. I think anyone who doesn't understand French (American or not) and listens to his music, is going to be interested enough to figure out what he's saying :D It's definitely helped me understand French better~ I love his music <3 ^^

In the States we call cassoulet (informally) "beenie weenies" Love -M- looking all geeky. This is the only guy who treats kazoo playing as part of serious music making (I think. Since I have no clue as to what he's saying my judgment is a bit murky. Usually kazoos are used in comedic music). Are those his kids,boy and girl who pop up right after the scene change?
This song was on his first album from 1998 (I think) When he was little he used to sing on his dad's albums and when his brother and sister were younger they sang on his. His brother is like 21 and his sister is like 19 so I actually think the boy and girl in the video is his brother Joseph and his sister Anna. I'm not sure though. But it would put them at around that age. It's not his children though. He only has one daughter who's like 8 years old. Sorry for rambling...
No, he's not married. He has a daughter named Billie with his ex girlfriend Celine Bary (who was with him in Le Soldat Rose) They're not together anymore. He was dating Amelie actress Audrey Tautou but there are rumors now that they too have broken up.
