She might have fed it to the dog. It looks like it's getting bigger. lol. :))

  • Such a cute little host! Very well trained dog not to jump in for a taste of what's cooking!

  • @momkatmax He's more well trained than my 6-month old sister >.<

  • for the red beans for the anko I have to go specially to "Amazing Oriental" a dutch asian supermarket.. Damn that's a whole lot of trouble to go through for a recipe.. And I live in a little farmerstown so I need to take the train.. why don't people share my fascination for Japan here! :(

  • uh... what is that at 0:27? i can't hear him right

  • @DestinyOfFreedom He says to split the pre-made anko in half.

  • Sour strawberries...?? Hmm?

  • I LOVE YOU SO MUCH FRANCIS COOOKING WITH THE DOG ROCKS!!!!

  • 苺大福は餅米で作ってるのかと思ってた!

I thought whether to make the strawberry rice cake stuffed with sweet beans from glutinous rice!

  • cause the dog looks so pleased to be there in the video

  • I heard "let's steam the dog" too LoL. Beautiful cooking by the way.

  • HOW IS THAT DOG TALKING WITHOUT MOVING ITS MOUTH?!

  • can you use corn starch?

  • wow, the first time ive seen a vid from here without salt.

  • i thought i heard, lets steam the dog. LOL

  • yes if you typed ichigo for kurosaki, it's is a strawberry...

  • anyone else think that a dog as a cooking partner, just isn't the best idea?

  • The guy said bowls. lol

  • Where would I buy anko? I live in Wisconsin. =/ Could I use something as a substitute? Do i have to use Katakuri starch or would any other type of starch work?

  • @Zantillia You can order anko from Amazon or Mitsuwa net shop.

Katakuriko is potato starch. If it's hard to find it, corn starch would be OK.

  • @HerrTenko Thank you for that very polite reply :)

  • It really sounds like he's saying cataclysm starch :/ First time I watched this i wasnt looking, id started the video while talking to my mum or something and was like wth :p

  • AT 1:39, it sounds like he is saying lets steam the dog. XD!

  • every time he said balls i bust out laughing XD

  • Don't really know where to get Anko where I live... does it works the same with chocolate?

  • I made some and they're SOOO GOOOOOD!

  • I prefer to use chocolate instead of anko

  • It sounds like he says "lets steam the dog"

  • I just search Ichigo from Bleach and now im here WTF!!?

  • @dxtream1 "Ichigo" means "Strawberry". You may notice in one of the episodes that one of the half hollow chicks calls him "Berry-chan" LOL

  • Hey guys! Thank you for uploading this video. I'd like to try it out, but at this season strawberries are very hard to find. Could you recommand another fruit? Thanks in advance, Christopher

  • i'm just not a fan of anko. the texture is just not my cup of tea. i make these without the anko. dealing with mochi can be a very difficult situation.

  • wtf 0:33

did tbc zipper on each half _n_b_c gaming tables :D

  • BANKAI!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1:39 lets steam tha dog

  • UNYUU~

  • You cut the top of the strawberry stem off, but what about the rest of the stem that is on the inside?

Interesting instant recipe, is it recommended for people with diabetes? What is an alternative?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Thank you.

  • Thumbs up if when you saw this you thought 'Unyuu!' because of Hinaichigo from Rozen Maiden.

    It looks delicious BTW!

  • @EeveelutionStorm The very first thought. ;) "Unyuu!"

  • @waltersobchack36 Its both, pronounced the same but the Kanji is written differently.

  • lol use subtitle 1:10 "let's make that dole or die from it"

  • OMG turn on subtitles! :D

  • Yummy! ^_^

  • @waltersobchack36 Well his name is written differently than stawberry. It just is pronounced the same

  • Can someone explain to me two things? 1) What is the purpose of the dish-towel wrapped cover? I'm not demeaning it, but rather I'm curious why? 2) For the Anko, are you just guestimating the correct size corresponding to the size of the strawberry, or should you aim for the size of the strawberry in the video?

I have cooked many dishes from this channel without failure, but this is the first time I'm using starch and red bean paste or anything that's sticky, so I'm a little nervous. Thanks.

  • @xkzonstr: Hi there! Here are the answers to your questions:

1.) The dish towel wrap on the steamer lid absorbs precipitation, protecting the mochi below. Without the towel, the steam rises, hits the lid, then turns into a LOT of water that falls back onto the mochi below-- ruining its texture. (LOL, can you tell I've made this mistake before?) 2.) The Chef's exact procedure for dividing the Anko is her way of "guess-timating" proper dosage per strawberry.

  • @TachieBillano Thanks! Would a white t-shirt suffice to wrap the lid with? That may be a bit too thin to wrap the lid though..

  • @xkzonstr: An old white cotton shirt might be OK, especially if it's thick, and can be wrapped around the lid twice. Try testing it. Set up your steamer as if you were about to steam some mochi. Wrap the shirt around the lid, then place an empty bowl in the steamer. Let the water simmer for 15-20 minutes, then lift the lid and examine both the shirt and the bowl. If the shirt looks like it can take in more water, and there isn't too much water in the bowl below, your shirt will do.

  • @TachieBillano Took your advice, and the t-shirt worked perfectly! The Daifuku came out extraordinary and it's so good! I made two batches, and I forgot that I had to sprinkle katakuri starch on the Mochi dough before shaping.. I ended up fighting the first batch haha. But thank you so much for answering my questions (promptly for that matter too).

  • @xkzonstr: My pleasure! :-) Enjoy your food :-)

  • That dog is SO CUTE!!!

  • should the sugar be powdered?

  • 1:50 "cook the dog for 15 minutes"

  • looks like francis is having a bad hair day.. :/

  • @kawaiitiger98 i feel sorry for him...

  • @kawaiitiger98 i think like that too

  • @kawaiitiger98 francis is a poodle....lol.

  • @kawaiitiger98 why?

  • 1:14 ''Baking shit'' 1:37 ''Let's steam the dog'' lmao

  • @justinblack31 ew. So anyways, stereotypical Asian wives are called "Hello Kitties" they're obedient, quiet and excel in domestic skills. All to satisfy the man of the house. Maybe if the husband felt like it he'll put a pink bow in her hair, rip her mouth off and paint her nose yellow. ._.

  • Strawberry Dafuuuck
