That's not true. You must know nothing of science. If you hold a any liquid at its exact freezing point then disturb it (hitting it), it will cause the the liquid will change states and then start forming into a solid. My refrigerator on the top shelf at its current setting does this exactly now. I do this all the time with water, snapple, cranberry juice..anything..

I used to brew my own beer, so i know that most of what goes into beer is water so as everything is mixed into a solution beer can easily be freezed, its jst like if were to freeze cool-ade or squash

This is bullshit because the liquid was already below freezing. Liquid can technically exist below freezing, and still not freeze....think antifreeze in your car. It doesn't take much alcohol to lower the freezing point of water dramatically. My best theory on why this works...and someone tell me if I am wrong. Beer exists as a mixture of liquid and alchol. By tapping the bottle the mixture is floated by the bubbles. The alcohol goes to the bottom because it is heavier, and the water freezes.

@okie294life its actully has nothing to do with the alchol you can do this with distilled water too. things only freeze because of impurities in it. if you put it in the freezer for about 2 and a half hours and dont touch it the liquid will go below its freezing point(32) and wont freeze but once you disturb it the impurities mix and freeze instantly

when you tap it, the bubbles form and rise... the formation of bubbles draws the air to them and pulls all the heat with them and that lowers the temperature of the beer around it even lower than the neat freezing temp its at... that causes the beer to freeze

by placing the beer in the freezer u are creating a supercooled fluid. the beer is under pressure due to c02, with some aggitation {hitting the bottom on the counter} u create tiny bubbles, the bubbles then create nucleation points, {points for the ice to form} so freeze a beer, bang the bottom and bam u got a 30 sec frozen beer . u can make some money off ur stupids friends this wasy, just make sure when its in the freezer dont move it untill u take it out.
