''It is called the theory of evolution for a reason.'' Yes, a theory explains the facts. The theory of evolution explains how the process of evolution, a fact, happens.
''No one has ever witnessed one species becoming another species.''
Yes they have, in nature, in the lab and with transitional fossils.
Scientists try desperately to recreate the big bang. Only problem is that if they are successful, it is still intelligently designed! I call my intelligent designer God. The God of the Bible. We will only know for sure when we die. That's faith.
Every religion has its creation story. I wonder why? Maybe because most cultures were intelligent enough to know that intelligent design is the only possible explanation for life. Where else did all of this come from? Oh, billions and billions of years... That's the only way anyone could ever buy into a theory like evolution. Give it enough time and it COULD happen... Except where did the first organism come from? How does something come from nothing?
I'm sure half the people commenting would be surprised to find 3 "myths" that one or another follow come from Sumerian, #1 alien,.. #2 Religion,.. #3 Evolution,.. one is your choice?
@SPAGHETTIMONSTER1 There is no such thing as Alien... It's only considered "Alien" to most because they are unaware and ignorant of these truths... Wake Up.
@LegionsOfSpartaVII , Depends on what ones definition of "Alien" is too. unknown or different can qualify. you mean little grey men? I'm just naming a few of the belief systems stemming from the Sumerian that I know of.(seems these 3 divide many people) dons't mean I subscribe too any one of them 100%, so in a way I agree with your "Wake Up"
The bombadere beetle manages to spit put boiling acid to thwart it's enemies. It takes two chemicals mixed together, and a third to activate it instantly. How could it have evolved without blowing itself up? The catalyst (3rd component) must instantly be added as soon as the other two are in mid air, otherwise the server will be served. And don't say that Dawkins dispelled this, cause his video on this is a lie! He never added the catalyst. Evolutionists have been had by false teachers.
GOD is simply the higher power that we do not understand, and humans hate not understanding. we really dont like not knowing. so we create reasoning. remember, you will always find what your looking for even if its not real!
I was talking to a friend at about this subject (nephilim) who was doing some sort of degree in comparitive religions about the same time this fella uploaded this! Freaky, I was playing a Tombraider game on PS2 which referred to nephilim as giant Half- Angel creatures with immense powers etc.
I've also heard stories of the ancient romans finding 40ft skeletons in Israel.
Intriguing.
I think the Jews said if our God allowed us to conquer these fellas(previous occupants of the promised land)..
@pbcmusicguy so... all the proves of evolution of both man and beats should be ignored? And BTW... do you belive, that god is also god of all the other trillions and trillions times trillions of planets, that exists out there? He created em all?
@pbcmusicguy lol no1 ever witnessed a species become another species because evolution takes hundreds of years. evolution exist wether u believe it or not, all living things on this planet have a basis of instinctual survival, that has a basis of knowledge and teaching. in other words, how could evolution NOT exist? when we are constantly striving to learn and improve in order to survive. animals, bugs, fish, people all do this. have you ever seen an ant? and the same ant with wings?
@pbcmusicguy thats like saying polar bears arent white because they live in the snow. well why are they white then? because god made them that way? PFFF. no. because there are black bears that live in the forest. or how about lizards. look at the chameleon bro! thats adaptation at its finest. these things all stem from survival which is part of all living things' nature. remember, the human brain is a very powerful organ. try and respect your own brain.
@gregrutz In the lab? Wouldn't that be manipulated? We all believe in things we haven't seen. It takes more faith to believe in evolution than creation. No one has witnessed a fish become a reptile become a monkey become a man.
Yes I too know it's a business but I still struggle to understand how on mass, people still want to believe the lie. Im not missing the point of brainwashing upbringing etc. Anyone believing in any religion needs help and are deluded. And Im not missing any point, I just see through all the bullshit.
It is because religion is a BUSINESS just like any other business and 2.People are taught to believe the bible fully they are loose in the head if they buy "fully" into it I think they will be shocked to find out the real truth...the elites know that the bible thumping is BS they dont follow it it was put in place hundreds of years ago to keep people in line to buy into the go to work come home sleep and pay taxes and be good thing to keep the rich richer and the others stupid and working...
he lost me the moment he mentioned the bible, jesus, the church etc. You fucking moron to use the bible as a reference is deluded, yes it holds passages from Sumerian times but confronts issues not related to truth. Why do people still want to believe the lie of religion and the fucking bible, WHY??. People please GROW THE FUCK UP.
I struggle to understand how an itelligent person can use the bible as a reference, astounding. Respect is with truth, how the fuck can anyone deny actual evidence and then go back to any religion based on lies, until we as a race grow up and continue to allow the elites to run Earth nothing will change and only ruin will be known. It saddens me to understand how people allow themselves to believe in the lie and to intellectually weak to stand up, confront reality, accept it and be an adult.
WE LIVE HOAX LIFES,RACES NATIONS RELIGIONS ARE FAKE....these hybrid race or evils or reptilians are among us for thousands of years,we are sleppy monkeys, but I know what will I do if you catch an opportunity
I have had a similar discussion with another person whom kept insisting "If thats what you believe" format. I was finally able to get through to her that it was not faith like you have in the belief of a god or jesus, it is soley based on evidence, logic, commonsense and the fact that I am able to see it for real. So all who cant get your head around how I cant buy into your deluded views, look at the physical evidence then tell me, but for the fact of all the evidence what else could it be.
The bible is a pathetic cut and paste of the Eyptian book of the dead, The lost book of Enki and bits of the dead sea scrolls, and its not beliefs like blind faith that god exists its evidence and logic I use to sumerise on issues. So KG70 you go on believing your delusion of god and be happy just keep it real and not insult me as I dont believe in the Easter Bunny or Santa Clause and because you cant make me is what really pisses you off. Run away little boy. The truth will set us free.
@Thumper396396 The Talmud is the record of the Hebrew nation; there is quite a lot of history backed up by other historical texts of the time.
The New Testament is made up of personal memoirs and letters written in the first century by the Apostles.
Strange that you misrepresent the Bible and then paraphrase it. It was of course Jesus who said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Will you backwaed thinking delusional scarmongering bufoons please go away, if you want to recite from a backward reading book that more often then not makes little sense in so many passages. The US have been played and you dumb shits have taken the bait. Grow up people.
So, Christian point of view, how about the Mayan point of view? what about their prophecies which are coming true today? The extraterrestrials created this whole perception of "Demons" "Angels". Funny thing is, we still believe they are spirits. And of COURSE religions will say they are demons, forgetting of course that we are just a little speck with trillions of other planets trillions of stars, and billions of galaxies. Can we stop thinking we are at the center of everything, and suck it up?
@dunkindeeznutz HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHHAH yeah right what planet are u from? HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
exactly. Jesus said love thy God and love thy neighbor, treat them as your brother. With these laws, you CANNOT make war or harm or cause loss. All these 'religious' wars throughout history have not been because of holy scriptures; they were because of the sick, evil men controlling the religions!
@3VOLution3NO Weren't there wars in scriptures?...why don't you do a little research on the NWO before you conclude it's all religious leaders. It's more complex than that. Though you won't catch me defending the Catholic Church.
But that statement is not true in the slightest. Some your deity promises to reward some, and others it promises to torture for all eternity. There is no peace in that message, not tolerance, no love, no justice, and ultimately no hope or meaning for humanity's entire existence. We are all just puppets of this demented egomaniac sky dictator according to monotheism. Worse than the world of Orwell's "1984".
The history of the world has been do unto others before they have a chance to do unto me first.Or let's get them while they are weak. That's the real world.
Is it ? Is it really ? That is incorrect or civilization would be impossible. Co-operation is more common than conflict throughout history, but people prefer to hear about conflict, that is why History exists in its present form. Archaeology is a more balanced view of human endeavor than History for this reason, and I am an historian saying this.
Ah but CBALLEN within your system of morality, there is no such thing as an innocent person so that is merely a rhetorical device which you don't really believe. According to Christians all people have original sin, and if they're good Christians then killing them sends them to heaven, and if they aren't good Christians... who cares ? See how morally bankrupt your religion really is ?
There was only one good person,in all recorded human history, who had something bad happen to Him and the reason for this is so that good things could happen for bad people.
This was very good. There was a little speculation, and alternative views were given for consideration as well, but overall it seems pretty right. I'm not sure about the part at the end about the 'tribulation', but I haven't studied that deeply.
I've been noticing stuff in the scriptures lately hinting at there being another race alongside us, it all seems to be falling into place with 'waking up' and noticing what is really going on all around us. Sneaky slippery snakes! Sssshhhhhh...
I personaly believe we will live on this eath in tribulation. I believe many people may be fooled by pretrib doctorin. Just becasue we become Christians doesn't mean we step into lollypop land. Death and life are hard subjects, and Jesus's deciples died some rough deaths. We all carry a cross, and sometimes we suffer. The antichrist will have the power to make war on the saints. We will see the rise of the prince of darkness. Jesus explained this in the signs he gave on his second comming.
An easy way to tell the Righteous from the Misguided is simply the way they ACT.
You must build with the Righteous Jews and Righteous Muslims, and collectively respect the Abrahamic God, the One God from which we all derive our commandments and laws.
Otherwise you are the tool of masons and luciferians.
Yeah right, luciferians, what like St. Paul ? Struck down in a gibbering fit and then causing a schism in the nascent Christian movement over Jesus being the blasphemy of an incarnate god like the Roman Emperor, and a scapegoat for human sin ? Your god is a monster btw. His scripture proves it with all the disgusting evil that he commanded. Clearly you have murder etched in your heart.
I am not quite sure I understand your point here, or who exactly you are talking about. However if you are implying that the God of all Creation commanded anyone to do evil then you would only be demonstrating your ignorance of scripture. He is Holy, full of mercy, and perfect in His judgments.
Since the fall of Adam, man's heart is continually evil.God does not make us sin,but keeps the brakes on mans sin,for the most part.Man is like a car with the accelerator stuck and the trans is in gear, always ready to race toward sin.If it were not for God's restraining power, man would have destroyed himself many times over. All God has to do to harden a man's heart is take the brake off.
Actually the story of Adam is one of God's evil not man's. God proves his total lack of justice in this story. Consider that when he tells Adam not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge, not Eve (who wasn't around yet to hear). Now neither Adam nor Eve know the difference between right and wrong, so they cannot be reasonably punished. Also, Eve wasn't around to hear God say "don't eat that". So God's punishment is unjust and therefore God can't exist.
Adam told Eve what God said, and the man is head over the woman as God is head over the man.One theory is Adam knew that Eve had messed up bad and Adam knew this, but he loved Eve so much that he was ready to take the same punishment as her,so he willfully disobeyed.
But without a knowledge of right and wrong, there is no implicit hierarchy of any sort that either Adam or Eve can be aware of. How could Adam know Eve messed up if he had no knowledge of right and wrong ? How could Adam know it is wrong to mess up if he has no knowledge of right and wrong to refer to ? That is completely illogical.
..Even though Adam had never sinned before the fall,he knew that doing what God told him not to do was rebellion against God.Adam was a genius even by todays standards,so that's not too hard to figure out.
No. Adam was not a genius. Adam was mentally incompetent to stand trial. A person who has no knowledge of good and evil/right and wrong behavior is mentally incompetent. How can such a person be expected to differentiate the word of a talking cloud (god) from a talking snake anyhow ? It still makes no sense. You are being very judgmental to assume that Adam could think the way you do before he ate the Apple.
The Bible said that God walked with Adam in the cool of the evening,so it was probably the preincarnate Jesus Christ who WALKED with Adam(The same one who ate with ABRAHAM in Gen.18)Adam named all the animals and knew the names of all the stars, could speak as soon as he was created and knew how to tend the garden,so yeah,Adam was brilliant.
But mentally retarded people can still speak, and schizophrenics often have experiences of the sort which scripture ascribes here to Adam. Let me put the problem to you again...
1/ Adam has no idea of Good and Evil before he eats the fruit. 2/ Eve isn't even around when God says "don't eat that fruit". 3/ Neither A or E knows what they are doing is wrong, as they have no knowledge of good/evil/right/wrong before eating the fruit. 4/ This means God has no right to punish them ergo, no God.
God had already told Adam in the day that you eat it,you will surly die, then Adam told Eve,that's how come she responded to Satan as she did, even though she got what God said wrong, she still knew that she should not eat from the tree.
But Adam had no reason to listen to God, as he had no ability to reason right from wrong. He had no reason to suppose God was valid or worth listening to. Having no notion of right and wrong really means you regard all stimulus as ambiguous. Or did God somehow overlook this...?
No that is simply not true. History is about old men sitting around reading through archives and then writing books about what they find. You have an overly bloody view of what constitutes history. Consider the history of Music, conquerors and vanquished ? Nah. Or the history of Science, same story. There is more than one type of history.
As a student of history I must disagree, war is not what humans do most of, it is merely the trauma that they choose to remember the most of. People tend to disregard peace as it is less exciting, but there is more of it than most people are prepared to admit.
Ok,in our civilized world last count That I remember, there was 197 conflicts, wars, going on.There have been wars and rumours of wars since the begining, the only time that people weren't fighting was during the time of the FLOOD of Noah and a little while after that, that's it!
Adam was well aware of the fact that God was the creator of everything, God walked with Adam in person.Adam knew that God gave Eve to him also.Adam and Eve probably went over a hundred years or so before they sinned,it didn't happen right after the Creation.
Adam knew what God told him, that's it,and God said in the day that you eat of it you will surly die! Even though death had not ocured yet,Adam knew that it was not a good thing to happen.Adam then told Eve the same thing. They would not even touch it until Satan tempted Eve into it by deceiving her.He gave her the impression that God was keeping some kind of cool secret of how to be a god away from them by not letting them eat from that tree, only then did she eat it.
But if Adam has no knowledge of right and wrong how does Adam know it is wrong to disobey God ? Clearly if Adam truly had no knowledge of good and evil then he could have no fear of death as he couldn't know death was unpleasant by definition.
Also, Eve wasn't around when God told Adam about the tree, she hadn't even been made yet, and she had no knowledge of good and evil either, so she couldn't fear the consequences of her actions.
Adam told Eve as I have said before and yes,by her own statements, she told Satan that she was not supposed to eat from the tree, she even added her own thought, that if she touched it she would die.Like I said, they weren't just created and immediatly sinned,it probably took a 100 or so years before this incident happened with Satan.
So there you have it. Why would Eve suppose that death was a bad thing if she had no notion of bad ? It also isn't written that Adam told Eve any such thing, and in any case, given that she wouldn't know that she should listen to god, how much less would she listen to Adam based on the same reasoning ?
@formless777 Adam and Eve were given ONE Commandment. "Right and Wrong" as a moral code only enter into our consciousness after we have eaten from the Tree of Knowledge.
You are putting the cart before the horse, so to speak.
Hang on, without any notion of right and wrong, how can you know it is right to follow a commandment ? How can you know it is wrong to disobey it ? Your god is an idiot, in fact a spectacular idiot not to notice such an obvious logical disconnect.
@formless777 The word "Commandment" does not really apply here.
Adam and Eve were simply told to obey this single command. This is not about "Right and Wrong". You are applying logic that does not pertain to this scenario.
They "Disobeyed" their Creator's one request of them and paid the price accordingly.
You haven't understood the fact that this so-called hyper-intelligent god of yours failed to understand what happens when people lack a knowledge of right and wrong to begin with. They are babies, or "moral imbeciles", or retarded. Such people can't be tried in US courts because they are mentally incompetent. They cannot follow a simple request any more than an 8 week old puppy can i.e. perhaps they will, while they remember, for a little while.
@formless777 , I think you are quite insane. Since you are "GOD less" please refrain from bothering me with your assinine innuendo. You are speaking as if you were GOD and YOU were there. YOU are NOT equipped to confront, challenge, or understand the "MIND" of GOD. NO ONE is.
Go spread your Satanistic understanding of spirituality and reality somewhere else.
You have nothing of concern or value to offer here.
Ah, but you haven't answered my question, which I believe was simple and logical. So I will put it to you again:
"If Adam and Eve couldn't follow the command "don't eat that fruit" because they weren't mentally competent to do so, lacking the knowledge of right and wrong as they did, then why would a perfect and all-knowing god issue an order they couldn't follow, when by definition he must have known the couldn't follow it ?"
Just answer that satisfactorily and I will say no more.
@formless777 , Repeating such a piece of pretzel logic doesn't make it a valid question. It isn't. It's a supposition, an opinion which has no basis in fact or reason, just a biased conjecture. The assumption is false and therefore your query is moot.
No, the logic is simply expressed and completely valid, you are merely trying to dismiss it because you can't answer it. This is not opinion, it is sound analysis of the scenario based on text as would be presented in a legal cross examination of a witness' testimony. The query is not moot, answer the question or say you cannot and accept the consequent outcomes
In the Beginning there was the Word and the Word was God. And as we know, God is perfect, and the Bible is the Word of God. If the Bible is imperfect, then God is imperfect and therefore doesn't exist.
Okay, lets work through this as a flow diagram. If you give an order given to a person who doesn't know the difference between what is right and what is wrong, (because they are insane or a child, or Adam and Eve or a moral imbecile), and they don't do what you want because they can't properly contextualize that obeying you is correct and therefore "right", who is to blame for any mistakes ? You or them ? And where's the circular logic ? In the Bible ?
@formless777 First off thats an assumption that someone who is insane, a child, Adam & Eve etc. don't know the difference between right and wrong...that is like saying they don't know the difference between day and night. It is something we are born with, it is called a conscience...the only thing that interferes with the human conscience is misuse of freewill....which then leads to demonic interference and eventually death.
But we know from the Bible, and for the sake of continuity, that the tree Adam and Eve ate from was the "Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil". This is your damn document remember. So until they eat from the tree they are ignorant of the concepts and are not morally responsible for their actions. They would be classed as insane in a court of law, or treated as dependent minors. They had no conscience because they weren't capable of reason. Also...what free will ?
@formless777 They were clearly warned to stay away from it therefore it was an act of rebellion. Rebellion is an act of defiance, opposing authority and moral codes. For every action there IS an opposite and equal reaction. We all make choices in life and there are consequences for the choices we make whether we like it or not there are consequences. Freewill aka choice. God is not a dictator, He won't force you to love or even acknowledge Him...your life, your eternity...your CHOICE. Peace.
But it doesn't matter if you warn someone who doesn't know the difference between right and wrong. There is no rebellion, there is no defiance, there is only ignorance. All knowledge and power was vested in God, and ultimately it was his failure and his alone. He created the system to fail. There was never any free will. God knew what was going to happen; that is how omniscience is defined. So either God was ignorant, or God was malicious. Take your pick.
NO ! The point is that God is obvious bullshit ! Until you admit God is a figment of your demented imagination I won't stop. In any case it is insulting to suggest that I am greater than something that doesn't exist, because everyone is.
@formless777 When Einstein was asked if he accepted the historical existence of Jesus said "Unquestionably! No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life." He also resented being associated with atheists, one of the greatest minds ever...think about it.
Interestingly, when I looked up this alleged Einstein quote of yours I received nothing at all from the whole net. I am calling you a liar. Einstein never said any such thing. Either you or your con-artist clergyman have been indulging in gross falsehoods, but what more can we expect from the Children of the Big Lie.
@formless777 I had no trouble finding it when I entered the quote, must be opperator error. I'm none of the things you accuse me of, in fact I used to be one of the most hateful athiest you could ever meet till my friends and I starting having demonic experiences that only Christ and the words of the bible saved me from. And no, I have never tripped on LSD or been admitted to a psych ward.
Easily fixed then. Just post me the address of the site where you found the quote and I will happily retract my accusation and apologize, provided the site isn't obviously partisan.
@formless777 you called someone a liar b/c you failed to unearth a quote that Einstein's on record as having said but you didn't retract your false accusation either grudgingly or indifferently never mind "happily", did you? (i know, let's casually bear false witness against someone then throw in a lie for good measure - lmao)
@formless777 Now you're calling ME a liar?? I did no such thing you obnoxious twat, i'm simply reading the dialogue here. HE GAVE YOU THE FUCKING SITE NAME YOU PRICK. PAY ATTENTION. It's here on Page One of THIS comments page, dick.
einsteinandscience d ot c o m under the subtitle 'Jesus'. You owe that guy an apology - cunt.
Okay, I have found the quote, accusation retracted and apologies, but consider... "No myth is filled with such life" is very much an equivocal statement. It can be read to imply that Einstein regarded it as a myth, or not a myth, depending on how you look at it. Clearly he liked reading the Christian Bible, many non-religious people do, but that isn't the same as accepting it as being true. Einstein's opinion on religion seems to have vacillated considerably.
It can also be interpreted as "no (other) MYTH is filled with such life". Emphasis on myth. Completely changes the meaning, and as we didn't hear Einstein SAY the words to hear where his emphasis lay, we can never really know which one he favored. Einstein also has some very anti-God, and anti-religious things to say, I notice you haven't quoted them.
And where's the pretzel logic ?
formless777 ,I take it that you are an atheist,AM I right? And if this is so,atheists claim that right and wrong don't exist,so this means,as so many atheists have told me,that truth is relative, there is no real truth. Now that being said, how can you even argue with me since neither one of us can be right or wrong? If there is no standard or objective truth, then you have no argument at all!
Yes I am an atheist. But I think that morality has a strong survival benefit and exists for that reason. There is right and wrong, but it is also clear that different societies will choose differently when faced with a choice between two bad things, or two good things as to which is preferable. I also thing sociopaths are mentally defective people who have had this part of their neurology fail to develop. Also, this is a dodge away from the real problem with your position, naughty...
The simple and observable principle that if I wouldn't want something done to me, that I shouldn't do it to another person. This position is held explicitly by nearly every human culture, and is the foundation of empathy, quite apart from morality. Morality should be an outgrowth of empathy & compassion. There is no real morality in the Bible for that reason.
God chose the Hebrews to show both His mercy and His Power through .God called them out of the world to not be like the Pagan nations and warned them constantly.God specifically told them that they were to take one day a week off to rest, but some did not want to listen to God,which was a direct slap in His face ,so He called for their death so they would not spead their disobedience through His people. He is the Creator,so He can do what He wants with His creation.God is not a P.C.man.
@THURISAZRAGE I am suspicious of the rapture as well. The second half of the 7 years, is the persecution of the church. In the days of Elijah, he was hiding 3.5 years in a cave, while there was no rain. God protected him. In Daniel we see the image of the beast being erected for all to worship. Daniel and his 3 friends are protected.
Those that have the seal of God will be protected. Whatever the HOLY SPIRIT impresses on our hearts to do, that we will do, even unto death.
@THURISAZRAGE I agree and an islamic kingdom will be the one from which the anti-christ arizes not from the fallen romen kingdom that many believe to be the iron legs in Nebuchanezzer's dream in the book of Daniel.
@THURISAZRAGE I agree. I believe I received a word ok knowleged that we will be here at least long enough to take or refuse the mark of the beast...hope I'm wrong but I'm gonna fail to the safe side.
@THURISAZRAGE I do agree it is not true that for even Christians, there is no suffering. However, the Bible does say that before the great tribulation itself, we will be raptured.

For all of you evolution believers, it takes more faith to believe in evolution than in a Creator. In fact, the bible prophesied what you are saying.
2 Peter 3: 3-7 says: 3. There shall come in the last days scoffers........
4. Saying, where is the promise of His coming.... for all things continue as they were from the beginning......
5. For they are willingly ignorant of (the flood)
6. Whereby the world that was then, being overflowed with water, perished:
7. and are reserved now for judgement

@pbcmusicguy so... all the proves of evolution of both man and beats should be ignored? And BTW... do you belive, that god is also god of all the other trillions and trillions times trillions of planets, that exists out there? He created em all?

Yes. God made them all.
If you have a bible, read Psalm 148.

It is called the theory of evolution for a reason.
No one has ever witnessed one species becoming another species.

So all who cant get your head around how I cant buy into your deluded views, look at the physical evidence then tell me, but for the fact of all the evidence what else could it be.

An easy way to tell the Righteous from the Misguided is simply the way they ACT.
You must build with the Righteous Jews and Righteous Muslims, and collectively respect the Abrahamic God, the One God from which we all derive our commandments and laws.
Otherwise you are the tool of masons and luciferians.

formless777 2 years ago
I am not quite sure I understand your point here, or who exactly you are talking about. However if you are implying that the God of all Creation commanded anyone to do evil then you would only be demonstrating your ignorance of scripture. He is Holy, full of mercy, and perfect in His judgments.
jldinak 2 years ago
Since the fall of Adam, man's heart is continually evil.God does not make us sin,but keeps the brakes on mans sin,for the most part.Man is like a car with the accelerator stuck and the trans is in gear, always ready to race toward sin.If it were not for God's restraining power, man would have destroyed himself many times over. All God has to do to harden a man's heart is take the brake off.
CBALLEN 2 years ago
Actually the story of Adam is one of God's evil not man's. God proves his total lack of justice in this story. Consider that when he tells Adam not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge, not Eve (who wasn't around yet to hear). Now neither Adam nor Eve know the difference between right and wrong, so they cannot be reasonably punished. Also, Eve wasn't around to hear God say "don't eat that". So God's punishment is unjust and therefore God can't exist.
formless777 2 years ago
Adam told Eve what God said, and the man is head over the woman as God is head over the man.One theory is Adam knew that Eve had messed up bad and Adam knew this, but he loved Eve so much that he was ready to take the same punishment as her,so he willfully disobeyed.
CBALLEN 2 years ago
But without a knowledge of right and wrong, there is no implicit hierarchy of any sort that either Adam or Eve can be aware of. How could Adam know Eve messed up if he had no knowledge of right and wrong ? How could Adam know it is wrong to mess up if he has no knowledge of right and wrong to refer to ? That is completely illogical.
formless777 2 years ago
..Even though Adam had never sinned before the fall,he knew that doing what God told him not to do was rebellion against God.Adam was a genius even by todays standards,so that's not too hard to figure out.
CBALLEN 2 years ago
You are being very judgmental to assume that Adam could think the way you do before he ate the Apple.
formless777 2 years ago
The Bible said that God walked with Adam in the cool of the evening,so it was probably the preincarnate Jesus Christ who WALKED with Adam(The same one who ate with ABRAHAM in Gen.18)Adam named all the animals and knew the names of all the stars, could speak as soon as he was created and knew how to tend the garden,so yeah,Adam was brilliant.
CBALLEN 2 years ago
But mentally retarded people can still speak, and schizophrenics often have experiences of the sort which scripture ascribes here to Adam. Let me put the problem to you again...
1/ Adam has no idea of Good and Evil before he eats the fruit. 2/ Eve isn't even around when God says "don't eat that fruit". 3/ Neither A or E knows what they are doing is wrong, as they have no knowledge of good/evil/right/wrong before eating the fruit. 4/ This means God has no right to punish them ergo, no God.
formless777 2 years ago
God had already told Adam in the day that you eat it,you will surly die, then Adam told Eve,that's how come she responded to Satan as she did, even though she got what God said wrong, she still knew that she should not eat from the tree.
CBALLEN 2 years ago
But Adam had no reason to listen to God, as he had no ability to reason right from wrong. He had no reason to suppose God was valid or worth listening to. Having no notion of right and wrong really means you regard all stimulus as ambiguous. Or did God somehow overlook this...?
formless777 2 years ago
Come on now,all of human history was based on conquers and the vanquished.
CBALLEN 2 years ago
No that is simply not true. History is about old men sitting around reading through archives and then writing books about what they find. You have an overly bloody view of what constitutes history. Consider the history of Music, conquerors and vanquished ? Nah. Or the history of Science, same story. There is more than one type of history.
formless777 2 years ago
Of course everything has a history, but conquest was number 1.
CBALLEN 2 years ago
As a student of history I must disagree, war is not what humans do most of, it is merely the trauma that they choose to remember the most of. People tend to disregard peace as it is less exciting, but there is more of it than most people are prepared to admit.
formless777 2 years ago
Ok,in our civilized world last count That I remember, there was 197 conflicts, wars, going on.There have been wars and rumours of wars since the begining, the only time that people weren't fighting was during the time of the FLOOD of Noah and a little while after that, that's it!
CBALLEN 2 years ago
Adam was well aware of the fact that God was the creator of everything, God walked with Adam in person.Adam knew that God gave Eve to him also.Adam and Eve probably went over a hundred years or so before they sinned,it didn't happen right after the Creation.
CBALLEN 2 years ago
But if that was true then Adam already knew the difference between right and wrong and couldn't have sinned when he ate from the forbidden tree.
formless777 2 years ago
Adam knew what God told him, that's it,and God said in the day that you eat of it you will surly die! Even though death had not ocured yet,Adam knew that it was not a good thing to happen.Adam then told Eve the same thing. They would not even touch it until Satan tempted Eve into it by deceiving her.He gave her the impression that God was keeping some kind of cool secret of how to be a god away from them by not letting them eat from that tree, only then did she eat it.
CBALLEN 2 years ago
But if Adam has no knowledge of right and wrong how does Adam know it is wrong to disobey God ? Clearly if Adam truly had no knowledge of good and evil then he could have no fear of death as he couldn't know death was unpleasant by definition.
Also, Eve wasn't around when God told Adam about the tree, she hadn't even been made yet, and she had no knowledge of good and evil either, so she couldn't fear the consequences of her actions.
formless777 2 years ago
Adam told Eve as I have said before and yes,by her own statements, she told Satan that she was not supposed to eat from the tree, she even added her own thought, that if she touched it she would die.Like I said, they weren't just created and immediatly sinned,it probably took a 100 or so years before this incident happened with Satan.
CBALLEN 2 years ago
So there you have it. Why would Eve suppose that death was a bad thing if she had no notion of bad ? It also isn't written that Adam told Eve any such thing, and in any case, given that she wouldn't know that she should listen to god, how much less would she listen to Adam based on the same reasoning ?
formless777 2 years ago
@formless777 Adam and Eve were given ONE Commandment. "Right and Wrong" as a moral code only enter into our consciousness after we have eaten from the Tree of Knowledge.
You are putting the cart before the horse, so to speak.
1tonykirk 1 year ago
@1tonykirk
Hang on, without any notion of right and wrong, how can you know it is right to follow a commandment ? How can you know it is wrong to disobey it ? Your god is an idiot, in fact a spectacular idiot not to notice such an obvious logical disconnect.
formless777 1 year ago
@formless777 The word "Commandment" does not really apply here.
Adam and Eve were simply told to obey this single command. This is not about "Right and Wrong". You are applying logic that does not pertain to this scenario.
They "Disobeyed" their Creator's one request of them and paid the price accordingly.
Thanks for this brilliant display of "logic".
1tonykirk 1 year ago
@1tonykirk

Go spread your Satanistic understanding of spirituality and reality somewhere else.
You have nothing of concern or value to offer here.
1tonykirk 1 year ago
@1tonykirk
Just answer that satisfactorily and I will say no more.
formless777 1 year ago
@formless777 , Repeating such a piece of pretzel logic doesn't make it a valid question. It isn't. It's a supposition, an opinion which has no basis in fact or reason, just a biased conjecture. The assumption is false and therefore your query is moot.
1tonykirk 1 year ago
@1tonykirk

In the Bible ?
formless777 1 year ago
@formless777 First off thats an assumption that someone who is insane, a child, Adam & Eve etc. don't know the difference between right and wrong...that is like saying they don't know the difference between day and night. It is something we are born with, it is called a conscience...the only thing that interferes with the human conscience is misuse of freewill....which then leads to demonic interference and eventually death.
TheGraceofChrist 1 year ago
@TheGraceofChrist

TheGraceofChrist 1 year ago
@formless777 They were clearly warned to stay away from it therefore it was an act of rebellion. Rebellion is an act of defiance, opposing authority and moral codes. For every action there IS an opposite and equal reaction. We all make choices in life and there are consequences for the choices we make whether we like it or not there are consequences. Freewill aka choice. God is not a dictator, He won't force you to love or even acknowledge Him...your life, your eternity...your CHOICE. Peace.
TheGraceofChrist 1 year ago
@TheGraceofChrist

Einstein's opinion on religion seems to have vacillated considerably.
formless777 10 months ago
@formless777 ridiculous twisting of his words. It means what it means. NO myth is filled with such life.
TheGraceofChrist 10 months ago
@TheGraceofChrist

What do you base your view of right and wrong on?
CBALLEN 2 years ago
The simple and observable principle that if I wouldn't want something done to me, that I shouldn't do it to another person. This position is held explicitly by nearly every human culture, and is the foundation of empathy, quite apart from morality. Morality should be an outgrowth of empathy & compassion. There is no real morality in the Bible for that reason.

You are certainly wrong about no morality in the Bible. You say you base your morality on the do unto others rule,am I correct?

So you think that stoning people who don't respect the Sabbath is acceptable ?

@THURISAZRAGE I do agree it is not true that for even Christians, there is no suffering. However, the Bible does say that before the great tribulation itself, we will be raptured.
