  • Riding a fixie to go somewhere is good. Posing with a fixie is uh, a bit...

  • FIXIES R FCKIN GAY

  • @pollo130st FIXIES ARE TOTALLY HETERO! IT'S ROAD BIKES AND BMX THAT'S FUCKING GAY! AHAHAHAHAHA U DIDN'T SEE THAT ONE COMING

  • why do haters gotta hate..if u hate it go tell it to a guy who actually rides not on the internet pussies

  • gay fixies are gay

  • I have the one at 0:06 but with blue grips and pedals. Chrome and blue look sick together

  • And #"schlonginator"....must be the first person ever to use that name huh..very original and creative.

  • if you dont like it...dont watch the video ya dumbass's! fuckin pussys always lookin to bring people down huh.

  • @joshs413 Yeah, I am looking to bring down skinny jeans-wearing, anally dick-drilled, uppity hipster fixie fags. These people ride a stupid trend. None of them even have a clue how to control a fixed gear, so most of them just end up walking the thing around (like in San Francisco) like it's some sort of fucking gay faggoty accessory.

I ride a '98 FSR and a late '80s Stump Jumper. Like a real man.

  • Yes it must be super gay colourfull and you must wear black skinny jeans, huge-ass dorky glasses(whether you need glases or not), plaid shirt ,a fucked up hat, a leather belt to hold your tiny U-lock. Oh and you must get some tattoos on your arms. BAM, there you go and now you are not part of the main stream but a rebel with no individuality while mocking how the main stream are a bunch of idiots following the herd.

  • My fixie has 18 speeds.

  • I don't know what worse hipsters with skinny jeans on fixed wheel bikes or yuppies in spandex on $5000 road bikes. I mean WTF! I commute 20 miles a day on an old Trek and wear shorts or roll up my pant leg.

  • @Sicklx

    love this comment.

  • @Sicklx yeah, I hear that. I'm just a dude wearing regular clothes and riding a bike. However, I'm actually making some kind of statement too when I'm riding my bike... and that is: I'm just another dude in regular clothes riding my bike.

  • @Sicklx you roll up your pant leggs and commute on something no on rides.....i think YOUR the hipster lol

  • @Sicklx Thank you, thank you, thank you. You speak the truth.

  • @Sicklx I do the same.. I ride a single speed though, it's all i've ever known.

  • why are ppl who are hating on fixed gear bikes even watching this video for?

  • they spent WWWAAAYYYYY too much on these...

  • now make a vid for commuter bikes

  • fixies r just for attention.. believe me i have one and i prefer my single speed road bike over it.. its funner dont get cops tryna hassle u and can rest when going 30 miles + :)

  • @Lokes1890 Yeah, it's called a flip flop hub. Best of both worlds.

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bianchi <3

  • the one at 0:45 is the one i have its red with white...but its micargi...not colnago

  • I like the Nike SB's. 0:22 (:

  • how much yhu want for that blue green and black fixie

  • Hipsters say they ride "fixies" because its special and your "one" with the bike. but all they really care about is the colors. 0:15 for example.

Real riders, whether it be FGFS or Track/Mashing, ride "fixed gears" because it is fun and enjoyable. And oh, they dont give a shit about attention.

    FIXED GEAR > FIXIES

  • thumbz up if you muted the video

  • @AUTH3NTICsfFANZ i usually dislike music liek this but kinda like it hahaha

  • dope video , fuck the all the haters

  • fixies are cool and all, but i prefer road bikes, i just dislike how each time i go ride my bike, some dumbass yells " look at his wannabe fixie"

  • I'm gonna get my fixie like the one in 1:28.

  • @Zidane Steiner if u buy a fixie i don't even think u know how to ride it so don't buy it i don't wanna see another dumb ass riding fixie and end up crashing or ruining the bike......

  • hi, Im buying a 40 cm micargi fixie and was wondering if the stem height is adjustable?

  • i jus nutted

  • Does anyone know the exact name of the one at 0:43? :c

  • i hope damn hope ! one day i could have this bike for sure i would choose purple fixie.

  • fixed-gear fagalas don't like it when you call them out on how Supercalifaggilisticexpialidoucheous they are.

clap your hands and fuck off

  • NIce Colors, gay and perfect to attract stealers....

  • kpn yak punya smua???....^_^

  • where do i get rims with like the covers?

  • /watch?v=3cauCo6_svY

  • If I get one Imma make it Black N Purple <3 yesh, that would B dope

  • is this for hipsters? lol

  • you are a cunt for this vid

  • @bigmapideas ok smartie pants. Are you going to stop riding any bikes now that hipsters also put freewheel on their track bikes? Hipsters also eat food, I guess you have to stop doing that too or someone might think you are a hipster. Oh the horror. Tool.

  • @bigmapideas some of them are starting to put freewheel and brakes on these bikes sporting the same look. Does this mean you will stop riding any kind of bikes? The fad is not about the fixed gear. It's about the stripped track bike look.

  • @bigmapideas then you are a tool of fashion too. And you are wrong in your reply to me. My fixie is a black noname citybike frame found in the trash. It has a black Rodi Airlinie wheelset where the stickers are removed so they look plain black and noname. Black plastic MTB fenders and all parts are black and silver making it look almost like a regular bike. Can't hide the flipflop hub and the Time ATAC pedals though.

  • i think that white and gold one is a windsor

  • HIPSTERS EVERYWHERE

  • i dont understand why people would want to have a fixie over a multigear bike... both of them can look nice... but i guess hipsters just copy eachother without losing a thought about it. nevertheless respect to all fixie riders who ride without brakes!! every fixie with a brake is a gay fixie

  • @dltdppls haha you don't know how right you are! I heard my friends at lunch today talk about getting fixie bikes. All of them were saying how they really really wanted one, the thing with them though is that they want it to be all color coordinated and flashy I guess! but I came here to look up these bikes and I would totally prefer a bike with brakes, like seriously these bikes have no brakes?

  • @Nevanator7 you just put on a brake or two if you want to. Just make sure the fork is drilled for mounting a front brake. You can build bikes just the way you want them to be and no one can say shit as long as they are legal. If people say shit about your bike because it has a brake, please laugh at them very loud and stay confident that YOU are the sane person.

  • @dltdppls yeah and any bike with a freewheel is a gay bike.

  • is it just me or are there no brakes? :(

  • @florastacey9229 the hardcore fixed riders don't use breaks and just use the pedals to slow down. It's a good idea to put at least a front brake on there unless you are experienced enough to lock the back wheel by standing on the pedals.

  • @LIGHTRONIX k so this means if you dont paddle you dont move? is that what fixie is?

  • @florastacey9229 yes basically the rear wheel and the pedals are "fixed" together like on a unicycle. If you try to coast, then the inertia of the rear wheel will force your legs around with the pedals. But you can resist this force and control the speed this way. This control and the feeling of being "connected" to the forces of the rotating wheel can be very addictive.

  • @florastacey9229 fixies usually don't have brakes but the ones that are sold in stores, by law, must have atleast one brake

  • What Bianchi frame is that @ 0:59 .... It apears on like 3 different bikes?

  • 0:08 = ugliest piece of shit I've ever seen

  • if I buy a fixie do I have to make it look super gay like these?

  • @ZidaneSteiner No way! I think the "rats" style is much nicer. Rats means old looking style maybe with rust and we can see that it is a bike that has ridden for quite a time

  • @caravaning4 I agree dude.. the old rusty bike with epic brakes and cogs etc. Its the last bike to get stolen

  • @ZidaneSteiner Yes, Its the Law. You must also start shopping at American apparel

  • @AnalogicBeing Fuck that haha, Make your own style ;) I got a fixie and I wear addidas and board shorts and a shirt xD

  • @mahmoud1995 No skinny jeans? I'm afraid I'm gonna have to report you the AUTHORITIES >:(

  • @AnalogicBeing Oh please don't I beg you! Jeans get caught when I pedal :/ Haha I'll get skinny shorts! :/

  • @ZidaneSteiner Nope they just kinda are super gay.

  • @ZidaneSteiner hahahaha at my school i c a bunch of people riding these bikes dont get me wrong i like the fixies but just the way they potray them at school to look so gay it sucks! xD

  • @ZidaneSteiner naah these are the hip trendy people who are now probally selling their bikes on craigslist.

  • @ZidaneSteiner yes you do!

  • @ZidaneSteiner hahahahahahahahhahahahahah fuckin awesome man thanks for makimn my day!

  • @ZidaneSteiner it's a must .

  • @ZidaneSteiner and your shoes have to match!

  • @ZidaneSteiner If you buy a fixie chances are that you are already a super gay.

  • @ZidaneSteiner its not the bike its the song

  • i like the bit with the bike

  • lol..music says satan satan :D

  • I think this is the best song Iv ever herd while looking at fixies

  • i want to be cool!!!

  • 0:01 brown plaidish paint bike thing is AWESOME!!

  • Nomad all day!

  • purple yellow at 0:16!!

  • 0:33

  • I wonder what the trend will be next year?

  • @batman2909 this isnt a trend. its a lifestyle ...

  • is the song saying

    "Satan satan oh satan satan?"

    thumbs up

  • @RaeSahagunBetch satan said dance...

    :P

  • i really hate when people say fixie. it jst sounds so hipster.

  • great fixie

  • FIXIE PORN

  • 1:06 WTF?

  • super music!!!

  • Fixies rule.

  • I don't understand why some of the handlebars are totally ridiculously low.... any answers??

  • @TheMadzymoo google board track racer

  • @kingstarscooters Okay I googled it and all the bikes look like bicycle versions of cafe racer motorcycles... and the seats are lower than the handlebars. What I was talkin about was the handle bars on these bikes are crazy low compared to the seats, how would you even ride it like that?? tx for reply

  • @TheMadzymoo possibly because hipsters always fail to realize they are taking it up the ass, hehe

  • @kingstarscooters bahahahah- good answer

  • does any1 remmember laugher.

  • My fixed gear is 50% mountainbike parts too.

  • All fucking faggot hipster bikes except for maybe 0:36.

But it's still a mercier and utter shat!

  • I have two old road bikes but I don't know if I should make them into fixies. What do you guys think?

  • hi guys im starting a customization team in Indonesia, affordable price, if you want to own a fixie just go to w w w. tawakalrider . c o m, cheers!

  • man. there is nothing cooler than fixies.all other bikes are stupid. who needs gears? ya heard?! ha! and this is the only bike where you are truly 'at one' with the bike. no other bike has that. not even tricycles or unicycles. fixed is sooo spiritual. i love the style too. who cares if i stole my style from the messengers, hardcore, indie, skaters and bmxers. i am unique. i look like no one else. well i do look alot like every other ave rat on a fixed, but hell its soo sweet. you digg?

  • @looooooooy haters gonna hate

  • Riding Fixies is fine if your not a hipster its just annoying when people try trending and think its cool

  • HIPSTER DEFINITION:

a douchebag that pre-tears his jeans to match his plad shirt and rides brightly coloured and obviously unridden fixie around the "soho" area for no other reason but to be seen.

That is your Alpha hipster douchebag.

The Beta hipster douchebag's are the guys defending them below this comment.

  • @keklolgloat What about non-hipsters who ride one for exercise?

  • A story of a hipster kid and the bike daddy bought...

Thirteen year old kid with a custom made fixie...

He knocked out the kid that stole his bike!

Well then I guess he deserved to win back the bike that daddy bought.

  • @keklolgloat

    what?

  • @keklolgloat I'm a hipster, and let me tell you, I know how to ride my bike, sir. I can do seated skids, and I can haul longer than most other assholes Hahah

I know what you mean though. I hate people who buy SS with a freewheel just for the appearance. I fail to see the point in riding SS without a fixed gear, except to pose

  • @actionjackson9000

Thankyou for your kind and honest opinion, it is rare on the interweb. I am ex-courier with knee issues and it isn't anything to do with how you ride it is the fact that most real couriers ride brakeless fixies. When you are breaking using just your legs for six hours a day (atleast) then you will suffer joint problems, especially in the knees.

It is IMO just machismo that makes people ride brakeless. The reasons given of real brakes being expensive are just stupid.

  • @keklolgloat yep. i hate Hipsters who ride fixie just because its "Trendy" and some reason , i ride a Fixie , but just for fun with my friends and for tricks.. i really HATE people who buy those fixies just for trends and not caring enough to properly learn how to Skid or Ride a fixie... but i disaggree at the 3rd point.... not always a bright/flashy fixie are ridden by hipsters...

  • @R4pidSh0t

#3 is correct. There are only one or two instances where it is not true and they are true fixie riders that ride flashy bikes (clean + bright paint job, matching tires/rims, matching accessories.)

My own bike is all white with chrome and mismatched wheels. It has alot of used pieces because people who really ride fixie can't afford the latest and greatest. People that buy into fads want attention and get the nicest looking things for that attention.

    Its basic chimpanzee bullshit.

  • @keklolgloat my bike used to have mismatched colours , then i spray paint it , to make it look better IF i want to sell it ... does that make me a hipster? and i agree on using used pieces... not every fixie riders are wealthy..

  • @R4pidSh0t

No it doesn't make you a hipster, unless you ride your bike at 4 k/m/h as you talk on your celly.

Remember blowing past alot of those types back in the day.

They were usually wearing the freshest plad's from American Apparel (insert hipster brand).

Woah! I never knew how original it is to wear ray-bans while you ride a bike.

    To cool fo sho.

    /end rant

  • @keklolgloat hipsters are the scum of the earth

  • @usefullpoop

    Yea, they rly are.

  • I spent several years as a courier in SF, Richmond and DC in the 90s, rode fixed, I thought it was flattering so many people liked us and fixed gear bikes. Hey, look at it this way, the hipsters could be driving Hummers, right? I'm no fan of any sort of thing where u have to wear a certain outfit, listen to a certain kind of music or cut your hair a certain way (and I was in the military to boot) but if they want to ride bikes, so much the better!

  • look at the bike at 1:05.... ow i bet that was hard to controlle!!

  • ARGH MY EYES!!!!

  • Buy gears, safe knees. Inless you wish to have a two wheeled wheelchair when you get older.

  • @epohnopulse wrong. I got knee problems riding a 3-speed bike and I never had any problems after going fixed. That's 5 years ago.

  • @nilo2209 No, you are wrong. It is proven. Just because a singular person, such as yourself had different experiences as than the majority, doesn't make a fact null.

  • @epohnopulse link to this proof or shut up. All the rookie messengers in my company start out on multispeed bikes and they all get knee problems at some point. There are many other factors at play. When you ride fixed you become the gear and you are totally in control of how much stress you put on the knees. Just because people are clueless morons doesn't mean there's something fundamentally wrong with the bike type.

  • @nilo2209 ya, all those damn Roadies totally fuck up there knees. Too bad they don't though and that you have no proof of what you say. And if you really need proof of what I'm saying, just think about how ill-informed you are for about five seconds.

  • @thatgreggguy I already have proof, assmuncher. Also I am not ill informed. Go away trolling hipster loser.

  • @nilo2209 I'm not a hipster, hence the hate of fixie fags.

  • @thatgreggguy fixie-hater fags are the new hipsters.

  • @nilo2209 i doubt that its any better for your health if you ride a bike without breakes (which is in my opinion the only way u should ride a fixie) so pls dont come up with "facts" which are none....

  • @dltdppls I ride my ugly, slack citybike conversion with a front brake and I don't care what you or anyone else think about it. A claim was made and it has not been proved because it's bullshit. It's a fact that freewheel riders with or without multispeed also get knee problems and it's a fact that many fixie riders have no knee problems at all, myself included after 5+ years of full time fixed messenger work.

  • @nilo2209 Im looking into a Specialized Langster 2011 fixie any thoughts? How are fixies on climbing and speed?

  • @scooby8782 avoid the Langster! I had the 2006 model and the frame broke after one year. I would prefer Fuji Track or Fuji Feather, I only heard good stuff about the Fuji bikes. IMO: Avoid aluminium and carbon frames. Go for steel or titanium. Fixies will climb fine if you are not afraid to mash and use clips/clipless. Of course this also depends on the gear ratio.

  • @nilo2209 Thanks man !!! It's good to hear an honest reply!!! Before you, I heard nothing but good comments, but all were geared to selling me the bike!!!! You see here is my deal, I am a big 6ft 270 lb. guy , been mountain biking my whole life. The roads i am on are up and down all day long. The down hill on my specialized hybrid weighing in at 32 lbs. plus my 270 lbs. clocks me in around 24 m.p.h. ??? If you don't mind I am open for any input on entry level road bikes??? Thanks again!!!!

  • @scooby8782 well the main "disadvantage" of singlespeed/fixed is the lack of multispeed when going up and downhill and when going straight ahead for a long time. So they clearly make most sense in flat cities. But they did finish the first Tour de France races on fixies so it is indeed doable if you want to. It will either make you a hell of a lot stronger or you may destroy your knees. Be careful and don't ignore knee pain.

  • @nilo2209 Once again thanks to you!!! My hats off to you!!!! Local and state wide retailers shaping specs of the bikes they do not carry vs. the ones they do.... Working for that sale, makes it hard for a normal joe blow like me to make an honest informed decision..... Also people " riders" picking each others rides apart via personal taste.... Do not get me wrong, I am a former Marine born into a home of competition from jump street. So ROCK ON!!!!! And thanks again man, feel like i am ready!!!

  • @scooby8782 I have a 2010 Langster and I love it. I beat on that poor bike like there's no tomorrow when I ride and nothing has broken- it still rides like a charm after a year. Go for it if you're interested, but as always take a test ride or two first!

  • At 0.02 Thtz My Fixie Custome made Had At For 2 Years Im 13 I Got Jacked Then One Day on My Way To tha Mall I Seen My Fixie I Socked The Kid that Had It In The Jaw Got of And Rode off With My Middle Finger In tha Air=o

  • @houseomanapia123 Lol. Little kids.

  • Comment removed

  • Fucking hipsters.

  • Where are the other 26 gears?

  • Comment removed

  • What type of frame is .13?

  • Yo dudes. at 1:05 i can see its a home made disc wheel. i really wanna make one. an anybody help?

  • 0:09 is a beast

  • fixie 101? the 101 denotes that this is meant to be an instructional video, but there is absolutely NO information in this. its just a compilation of pictures and shitty music. latfh.

  • @steelbluesleepR Read the description retard

  • The Hipsters are coming for you...

  • 1:11 is sexy

  • this song makes my ears bleed!

  • some old beater frame with matching wheels and bar-tape.......blah blah.

those aerospoke, spinergy and hed wheels are cry get me off this bike and let me go fast....

  • 6-7 WOW weid

  • i thought 101 meant it would be instructional. oh well. nice bikes

  • 0:15 Hipster Barbie's Bike.

  • cool bikes

  • Pls no more indie music....just....no....fucking....more...

  • I really like the one at 0:32

  • Iif you were to line up 10 of these fixie riders in a row, you couldn't tell them apart.

They'd all be sporting a beard, a pair of skin tight 28" jeans, tattoo's the length of both arms and a t-shirt with a socially relevant political message. You know, its not unique or individual if you're doing the same shit as everyone else.

  • @InTheCity3D if you were to line up 10 fixie haters in a row, you couldn't tell them apart. They'd all be sporting a road bike with 200 gears, an iPhone with hits from Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, they would have no girlfriends and they would engage in a circle jerk within minutes of being in the same room. You know, you don't know anything about fixie riders and writing comments like that does not make you cool or clever.

  • 0:32 is this real ?

  • Thanks for the video!!! all the bikes are beutiful!!! I like it !!! greetings from Monterrey, México !!!

  • Give me gears and brakes everytime.

  • goddamn, this is the ugliest selection of rides I've seen in a loooong time.

  • :33 bike is crazy!

  • the smaller and higher up your seat is, the more hip you are

  • Screw these hipsters. They should be more like me. I mean what is wrong with them not doing as I do?
