I would gave clues how to get to the Mentawai, it can be achieved through Jakarta/Indonesia, from Jakarta you can find cheap flights destination Padang/West Sumatra using airline Garuda Indonesia, Lionair, Sriwijaya air, and Batavia air (all can be purchased online). Upon arrival at Minangkabau airport you can find a taxi to teluk bayur port, at this ports you can find boats with reguler trip to Mentawai island or there are also charter boats.
