The reason the bible is leavened is explained in the 2 times Messiah fed the multitudes (John 6 & Mark 8), AND the Feast of Weeks ritual (Lev 23:15).
The ritual requires 2 loaves baked WITH leaven [leaven represents falsehood/corruption] and WAVED to God, but not burnt on the altar; not sent up. This is Christianity.
Only unleavened bread can be sent up to God.
The Word feeds the people 2 times/millenia, but many only follow just to satisfy their flesh, not to eat real bread; not for truth.
@ProveYourFaith, You have a unique view of the inspiration of Scripture. Why would the Spirit of Truth purposely allow falsehoods to be planted in His book? The concept of merely dividing wheat from the chaff seems rather unfair considering the Bible supposedly is the only source of information humanity has about its Saviour Jesus Christ. So let me get this straight, it is your belief that the Spirit of Truth allows deception in His book so that fewer people will believe? Is that it?
(Mat 13:9 KJV) Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
(Mat 13:10 KJV) And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
(Mat 13:11 KJV) He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
(Mat 13:12 KJV) For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
I'll interpret the point of this video as "One reason I believe the bible is directed by god" after your definition at the start. Your point seem to be that because some parts of the testaments contradict each other, God must have directed their messages?
I think my worry is how can you learn Jesus' doctrine *before* determining which parts of the bible are true?
Eg. "In the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established"; how do we verify that this is not a forgery too?
Also, if we focus on "In the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established" then if something is only mentioned in one of the testaments. Would it mean it doesn't count as there is no verification from the other testaments? If the others didn't witness it, it could be because it's a forgery too. The others didn't witness it as well because it didn't happen. Or perhaps they just didn't see it. I suppose all we could say is it's unverified?
The written word is notoriously misconstrued. Why does God choose to communicate through such an unreliable convoluted mess of mystic riddles, half truths, and forgeries? If we acknowledge there are forgeries, how do we know what to believe/reject? If you’re an omnipotent agency trying to save humankind, this invisible book publisher strategy only ensures predominant failure. What’s wrong with God simply telling us what he wants explicitly? If there’s a God, I’d love to hear from him.
@anzwertree Really you have never been tested before receiving employment? Lets say your God and your dealing with a creature that easily falls for lies. Do you give them eternal life? NO The next logical step is to make a test who can overcome the lies? Then you save the ones who love truth and escaped the lies.
@ProveYourFaith If escaping lies is what God wants for us, then my resolve to eliminate false beliefs should be understood. I merely seek to eliminate as many false beliefs as possible. Why make a special exception for a particular ideology? How come you don't believe in Thor, for example? The same reason I reject [insert God here] are the same reasons I reject Allah or Jehovah. I'm treating all these claims equally until substantiated. What part of this logic is flawed?

@ProveYourFaith I'll piggy-back...
Matt 13;24 - The Kingdom is like a man who sows good seed in his field.
Matt 13;25-26 - While everyone slept, the enemy came and sowed Tares among the wheat. When the wheat sprouted so did the Tares.
Matt 13;27-28 - The Owner's servants came and asked 'where'd these Tares come from?' 'An enemy did this.' 'Do you want us to pull them out?'
Matt 13;29-30 - 'No, you may pull out the wheat. Let it all grow together until the harvest...'

He didn't say there was "only" two. Check it out on truthortradition website.

TruthAtlas 3 months ago
@TruthAtlas I think its not what Mark said there was only two.
(Mar 15:27 KJV) And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
It would be illogical to think he cried out to his God for leaving him just after telling a thief he is saved with him.
