"At this moment, we are at the place that the Buddha got enlightened...Bodhgaya. Especially this place we are,..the Buddha, foe-destroyer, emerged definitely from samsara close to the Naranjana river. It is the place that the Buddha beard hardship for 6 years. It is this Holy place we are now...
If this, what we call Dharma, does not exist, for all of us the sentient beings, by the dark of ignorance,..by having great darkness of ignorance...if we dont know the key points of what to adopt and what to abandon, based on that, there is ego clinging. The attitude of thinking of oneself, to cherish oneself, based on the wrong views, having attachment to oneself, hating others, having pride, jealousy, miserliness...many wrong disturbing emotions arise in our minds.
When these emotions arise, then through body and speech, by the actions of harming others, taking life away and etc based on the results of those, the fruition is abiding in samsara and the body and mind have to experience suffering. It will come like this.
What we call the worldly enemy,..the one who is giving a lot of suffering to our self, if we really examine...among all the enemies, the greatest enemy is the attitude of ego clinging, while actually there is no self.
Based on that, the disturbing emotions arise and this is the enemy. This is the real enemy actually, but we dont recognize it. We are not aware that the enemy is within us. The first thing we should do is to recognize that the enemy lies within us.
Now as for the future...I am old and how long I will be alive, how many months, I dont know. But no matter how much time is left for me, I will practice the Dharma as much as I can... and I will benefit the beings as much as I can... With this thought I will make aspirations."
