Hi,
I haven't experienced any penalties. The thing is it is all unique content, so I think we are pretty safe.
Many of the sites are only small anyway, but some are very specific and will draw the right kind of traffic.
I publish pretty much an article a day these days, and the system works very well.

Are you ranking well for your keywords in google?
