@duncan33303 Thank you, I'm actually looking at spending $900.00 on gaming PC and think this video is very helpful. Just wondering before I make my purchases however, are there any significant alternatives I should consider or do you believe I'd be safe simply following this list?
AHAHAHHAHAH. I just went through all ur videos in the playlist so it sounded it something like this. "Due to the --- DUE TO THE----- due to the nature---- DUE TO THE NATURE." Haha.. I was just amused by how different your voice sounded each video ;)
@ThePauhe I would suggest getting a LGA1155 motherboard instead with a i5 2500k. Also you should get a AMD/ATI radeon 6970, so you can play bf3 at ultra setting at a 1080p resolution.
I just spent a couple of hours coming up with a build pretty much exactly the same as this but I couldn't find a decent case for it. Now I've found this video -.- Anyway looks great I'm gonna build this :)
@duncan33303 what would be the most reasonable nvidia gpu to combine with an AMD phenom 2 x4 965, I was leaning towards an evga gtx 460 1gb superclocked, would that work out? I'm on a budget though:(
THIS BUILD IS ALMOST PERFECT FOR ME. However, is there a way you think i could knock off $100 w/o decreasing RAM, Video Card, Or CPU? This is right in my price range but i still need to buy a monitor also.
WTF I downgraded the ram to 4 gb 1333 MHz ddr3 and downgraded the storage to a seagate barracuda and am going to torrent windows 7 and my total is $825? I added the cooler master hyper 212+ but I think that's it. I'm not even crossfiring or anything yet. I think it's because I just googled the stuff instead of going to newegg.
I decided to go for the seagate barracuda for my storage at $40 and torrent windows 7. Now the build is like $759. And the ram in this video saved me some money compared to the one in your $1400 build. Can't wait to put this thing together. :)
I read the reviws on new egg and they say that the psu in this video brakes down easely does eny one know if this is juat a bunch of trolls or if it will actualy only run for four months
@nathan6reece Some of the parts are cheaper when you buy them in a combo. The combos usually aren't around forever though so in that case you'll need to buy those particular parts separately.
The SSD is optional, but I think for a good gaming pc it should be atleast a GTX560Ti or a HD6950 as the graphics card. Even a GTX 580 would still be the limiting thing anyway.
@2RandomStudios This one i like,i found He's build dumb because he's building PC with single video card, motherboard with two GPU slots, and 600Watt supply which is not enough. So if you going to buy another card you'll need a new power supply anyway. While you could get cheaper motherboard with single slot and invest it for better GPU Or whatever you want.
@alancik123 The 630W PSU can handle another GPU in crossfireX thanks to the cards lower power usage. Even if you aren't going to use another GPU for quite some time (like me) there is still much room for some nice overclocks. For instance, my cpu is running at 3.68GHz, and I could take it much higher if I purchased an aftermarket cooler for it (which I plan to). My gpu is also running at a 950MHz core clock with an extra 100MHz on the VRAM as well. Im doing fine on power useage
@pokeclue You don't need a disk drive (at least in my case as I don't use CD's) but they only cost $20. And fuck paying for windows, microsoft has enough money :)
@2RandomStudios Did you put it together, im assuming you did? just want to make sure the parts are compatible before buying them. :) Preferably on my santa list xD

Corsair 8GB 1600Mhz , PC3 - 12800 TOTAL: 596.85 EURO!

ModernXpert 4 months ago
@ModernXpert That looks like a nice build, but there are a couple issues.
1. The GTX 580 is a tad overpowered for the rest of the parts, I would go with the 570.
2. Go with AMD instead of intel, much more bang for your buck. I would suggest the board/cpu combo I use.
3. The HDD, 140GB is nothing. Get at least a 500GB, or get a 1TB from seagate for $70.

@2RandomStudios What about windows and the disk drive??? That certainly drive up the price.
pokeclue 5 months ago
@pokeclue You don't need a disk drive (at least in my case as I don't use CD's) but they only cost $20. And fuck paying for windows, microsoft has enough money :)

@2RandomStudios Do you think you will be able to run BF3 on it at max?
lordjay555 4 months ago
@lordjay555 It should be able to at 1080p, but I would get a 6970 if you wanted to run it at any higher resolution.

@AnArousedPanda I don't really care much for RAM oc'ing, and im on a tight budget, so i got XMS3 instead.
