Who gave the FBI the authority to shut down a site BEFORE it has been proven guilty by the courts? I have seen people selling pirated DVDs on the streets of NY , openly in broad daylight, catch them not sites like MU.
ok i need to make this clear... Megaupload was creating something that would compete with Amazon? and when SOPA or ACTA was introduced, the Megaupload owner was arrested because they shouldnt of had going up against Amazon?
This really shows how the labels would destroy any competition that would surface after SOPA/PIPA. They would just make sure you got some kind of illegal content in your site and put you down without even a trial.
Sounds plausible. I wish Anonymous would use their hacking powers to uncover incriminating evidence for this (and other causes) instead of just online vandalism; at least then their actions could be a force for good.
smells fishy to me, anyone that goes against Micro$oft or amazon or i-anything is in over their heads. Just like when american car companies tried to kill off the electric car back in the 90's. it would have worked too, if it wasnt for intelligent human beings, they better get cracking and ramp up the dumbing down of america if they want to keep the greed machine running.

piracy is the by-product of companies failing to adapt.
gaming, music, movies are making record profits, one could ask why then would these industries be crying about piracy...
they want to limit competition and piracy is the bullshit argument for that. megaupload didn't play ball with the big boys so... you get the picture
