@gilliangirl1 its the adults who are responsible for children. Children can grow and learn, where animals can not. I know that chimps can paint abstract pictures and parrots can talk. This is not anywhere near human capacity.
Animals have the right to defend themselves. Animals the right to form unions and governments to protect their own rights. But why should we have a duty to other animals. If I met a bear in the woods, she wouldn't consider my rights.
