The company is owned by the ESOP trust (employee ownership stock plan) Participants in ESOP are not all employees. I own thousands of shares and I am a former employee, not a current one.
Just be aware of this if you are considering going to work there. You are not allowed to sell your stock when you leave the company, until you reach age 65
