Eric will never be any oher former Kiss or Black Sabbath or any other drummer on earth. Like his drumming or hate it, but its not fair to comapre him to former band members becuase he will never be exactly like them. its true of any musician- they cna never really be replaced, but the band picked who they felt was best for the job, and they have more right to say who's best for the job as drummer than any audience memebr or person of another band.

that is a really old video the is a set of pro experts from the early 80's i no i've owned the same ones when i was a kid just look at the depth of the toms and the lugs that says it all ...but hey pearl rules i will not play nothing els i now own the original style jordisan export kit the one with birch shells not poplar...and i love love it i think it sounds better than my old custums that are maple...eather way pearl always sounds better

I think it's dumb to compare good drummers, let alone great drummers. Everyone has their own style. I will also not sit back when people dog Peter Criss! Peter Criss was / is an awesome drummer! He and ACE made kiss what it is! When I watch Peter Criss drum, it totally amazes me! He has been a HUGE influence on so many drummers! I like all good and great drummers.  Also, Peter sang on lots of KISS songs. He is truly an awesome musician and singer! LONG LIVE CATMAN!!!

Eric's great, and I love him, but Peter never had to drum like that. He used to be a fine drummer with his own stuff, without all that technical flash, and he can sing a pen a nice song to boot. He was there in real KISS, he's a real legend, he's the real catman.

Absolutely Thayer & Singer should get their own characters, but thanks to Gene Simmons and his contract with Sony Merchandising, they can't. To get new identities for Thayer & Singer would be a huge production that Gene isn't willing to work out because he'd rather focus on dollars and cents rather than what's right. It's a disgrace to Kiss fans, man.

I disagree. History will remember that the original lineup played together less than the other combinations. Money drove KISS to give the fans a reuninion. KISS has two great players in Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer. Much better presentation and with the make up who cares as long as Gene and Paul show up.

As I said in the description, I used this video as a test of a VHS to digital set up I had going. The video is over exposed as a result of bad settings and the quality is due to the lack of available settings in windows movie maker and youtubes encoding process. It was either this or recording in full AVI which takes up alot of disk space

actually dude, to be honest, about "pearl cymbals not lasting longer than a month" isn't true.

the 18 in. crash ride i used to own was probably equivalent to an 18 medium crash. it just sounded so horrible and obvioiusly didn't have the most attractive finish. plus it barely had any sustain at all.

but they will last. probably longer than z customs

I have the Pearl Forum kit and I hate the Pearl cymbals, I don't really like the sound of them. They are good for beginners but after a while you should save for some Zildjians or Sabians. I freaking met Eric Singer he he so amazing! Great drum solo!

soemtimes when you buy a pearldrum the give you the cymbals, sticks, video promo and trone.. all in the same box so you can´t expect that those cymbals would sound like Sabian or so. It´s just to beginners
