Beautiful!~ I have a 2,000 pond with a poor set up. In the process of digging out an addition, working on the waterfall now, this really helps. Is there anyway to add possibly a side drain to the old and water skimmer, I'd like to keep my fish in the old while working on the new. New one will have both. I'm very interested in DIY filters with 55 gallon drums, any thoughts on those>.Need to keep cost down. thx, angie b, California
If you have any old filters you rip out, like this one, any chance you can give them to me rather then throwing them out? I can use the media for a DIY filter.
@Arteolike Hey Arteom, with most of our old equipment I usually donate it to a school or it ends up trashed. Probably for what the shipping would be to get old equipment for east coast to west coast you'd be better off buying new!. However, if I come across anything really worthwhile I'll keep you in mind. Hope you are doing well. Visit me on Facebook too!
Yes there are a few ways ot achieve that. You could install a ball valve which will allow you to control water flow rate or completely turn off the flow. you could also install a check valve which allows water to flow only OUT to the pond and not back into the pond. Hope that helps!
Hi. The rocks are not cemented down, but not loose either. We do a typical dry stack and then we use fish safe construction foam to adhere the roackwork in place, and this foam also allows us to control the flow of water in the falls and stream. Thanks for watching!
It is alot, but it is also a long term investment and compared to many other types of landscape features it is a bargain! In this part of the country that is a pretty typical price and as I mentioned, I was probably the lowest bid on this project! My pricing is never the highest or the lowest so I feel the 9K was reasonable for the project. Thanks again Nemo!
Pricing of ponds and how people value them varies greatly in different parts of the country. If you really consider and understand the full scope of work that was done you may realize the pricing is right in line with the work that was performed. I was probably the lowest bidder for this job believe it or not. On all of our projects a great deal of thought goes into ALL aspects and parts of the pond. I could not afford this pond either, so actually I CAN'T have it. I'll stick with mine thanks!

Are the rocks "cemented" down or loose?

Too much - for that little pond!
I think more thought went into the water fall, than the pond.
Nice fall though.
$9,000 for that small pond?
Sorry, you can have it.
The one I build will do me just fine.

The complete renovation for this project came to about 9K for the tear-out and re-install with all new components and design.
