You'll have one denomination that dont believe in the triunity, but do believe in Jesus and Holy Sprit. Does this nean they believe in 2 God's rather 3 -- of course not. What it says is that u need to study and let the Lord lead u to the right understanding. Always remember when Jesus said: "He who is no against us is with us, So if they bekieve salvation in Jesus then they are not enemies & we are to test there
Please beware that during the time of Christ, a mystic group known as the Gnostics, were following the apostles around and rewriting many of the papris with false info. The motive? They were losing too many people to Jesus & His writings. Those are now & have been known to be 'the apocrypha', The Bible used by all Born Again Christians is the King James version, but if u find it too hard, try the New King James that should be more helpful than understanding old english. Always pray pray first.
Yes the cross was used by pagans to kill people, but in killingg Jesus, it became the tool used to torture HIM as HE hung on it in terrible pain, to make a way out for us. It is through HIS sacrifice that we are able to obtain the promise of eternal life. Know HE ministered for a while his main purpose was to be the lamb of the world. When HE died and HIS blood was shed, it open the door to all mankind that whoso believes in HIM, and sin no more, he or she will have eternal life. Isiah. 54.
I dont think the cross or physical pain and suffering and death can pay the price of sin... if it could then we could pay the price of sin with our own deaths.
Unfortunately for the j witnesses they are following a man rather than God. To be sure if your grounded in the right Word of God or being deceived by satan & his crew. As you read God's Word in the best prepared Bible The King James, ask HIM to open your eyes, Tell hin how much you want to be in HIS family abnd to than HIM for having Jesus come down ans a perso so that it cannot be said HE did not know what it is to be human and tempted, Well, HE willingly let Himself be tempted, & sacraficed.
Vyselink does not understand, and the reason is simple unless you posses a copy of the Bible (KJV 1611) you simply cannot read the Word of GOD it is Word within words, its archaic for a reason it is in code remove 1 jot and it ceases to make sense alphabetical substitution it just came jumping out at me one day after reading it, i checked later additions none of the later KJV's had the writings, its truly amazing future events foretold are happening now, how they could ever have known stuff
Oh darn. They can't "sin" and then just pray for forgiveness. They actually have to work to get to heaven... (This is coming from an atheist who thinks you are all crazy)
Yeah they don't share MY beliefs or celebrate MY holidays! Burn them! BURN THEM ALL! Then we can finally be free... *cue America the Beautiful playing in the background*
Jesus claimed to be God though. How can a 'Great Messenger' make such a claim and still be considered a great messenger? Wouldn't He then be a liar? Either Jesus was who He said He was (The Son of God), or He was a liar (and therefor couldn't be a great messenger), or He was crazy (and if He was crazy, He couldn't be a great messenger either). So really, there is no way Jesus could have been only a "Great Messenger."
Thank you for sharing this vs. I would suggest you not just read 1 vs and take it out of context I would read all the way to v36. See they try to stone him & Jesus asked what work are they going to stone him for & they said not for a work but for blasphemy for making yourself God. Then Jesus said your law says you're gods, those that hear the word of God are gods and that can not be disputed. Then he says "Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?"
So... did Jesus lie to save his life... or did he lie about being one with God? You trinity does not hold up. You make your god unknown, alien and foreign with this trinity... along with asexual, void of form and a changing god.
And on the contrary, God has made Himself known to us in various ways, He is a very personal God, He is not asexual, void of form, or changing.
If you would like to understand Christians doctrine and beliefs instead of making assumptions, then you can check this out: carm.org/christian-doctrine
If he did not lie then why are you only quoting 1 vs and taking out of context from what he said? You are turning him into a liar. The trinity teaches that god is changeable void of form and asexual. Study it...
I fully understand christian doctrines... the trinity is but one of many modern day doctrines derived from men. It seems you dont know your scriptures. Try reading more then bullet points...
No, it does not teach that. Those are assumptions that you are making about the Trinity.
How am I taking the verse out of context? To say that Christ is lying, then you would have to assume that the Pharisees were the ones who were correct. In that whole passage, Christ is saying that He is one with God, but the Pharisees are the ones who think He is lying because they do not understand the concept of the Trinity either so they want to stone Christ.
Yes... it does teach that... why dont you read the creeds that define the trinity.
You are taking it out of context by only giving it without the back ground or the whole of the quote. I know this is a hard concept to understand when you have been conditioned to use a single vs without all of the context to prove your point. But that vs does not prove your point but it does disprove it... or you are calling Jesus a liar when he claims to only call himself the Son of God.
Which creeds are you talking about? The Apostle's, the Nicene, others? If so, they still do not teach that.
John 10:22-42: Some Jews asked Jesus if He really was the Christ, His response ends at verse 30. Then the Jews get want to stone Him because He is saying He is God.
If anything the context strengthens my point. The religious leaders of the day knew that Jesus was claiming to be God and because of that they wanted to kill Him. That is what the context is.
I said His response to the Jews' question ends in verse 30. Then they get mad at Him and want to kill Him because He is saying He is God and in their eyes, blaspheming for saying that He is the Son of God (v. 36).
The Nicene Creed does say that, it also says "Who for us humanity and for our salvation came down from heaven, was incarnate, was *made human*, was born perfectly of the holy virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit." Don't take things out of context.
You are failing to understand that when what he said in v30 he explains in v36. How do you explain John 17:11, 21-23? So are we God? Are we part of the trinity?
I read it as was made man... right after it says he was begotten not made...
I am not failing to understand anything. No, we are human. We can have a relationship with God, as Christ did, but Christ was also God.
Christ was not made, He has always existed and will always exist because He is God. However, Christ became man (He already existed, but for our sake humbled Himself to our level while still maintaining His full deity). Christ was made human, because He was not human before, but He still existed before and was not actually Created.
Christ is part of the Godhead but he is not God... He never claimed to be God but that is how the Jews took it. He only ever claimed to be the Son of God.
So you are saying Christ ( or God) changed and became man? made human... as if he did not exist before hand?
It doesn't matter what modern day people believe... the trinity is not a biblical teaching nor is it something that has a place in the Hebrew culture. It is utterly foreign... like the god it teaches.
Then what about the verse where Christ says, "before Abraham was, I am" (John 8:58) A clear reference to Exodus 3:14.
No, Christ has always existed, even before He was human (as the verse before John 8:58 and 1:1-18 say) He existed before the hypostatic union took place. Here is how it would look:
Christ existed -> Was incarnated and took on a human body -> Now He is in Heaven with the Father
Yes... Jesus Called himself YHWH. But Jesus has been the mediator between God and man from the beginning. Remember he is the creator of the world. He was the God of the OT and gave the Law to Moses and then fulfilled it. We are fallen and as such are cut off from God the Father. All our communication with the Father has always been by way of the Son. Jesus holds the title God because he stood in for God. That is why he did nothing of his own, it was by his Fathers direction.
You're so close yet so far. Jesus did not "stand in" for the Father. Only God can forgive the sins of man, only God could make the perfect sacrifice, which Jesus did because He is God.
The Trinity does not teach otherwise, as I have already explained.
And today Jesus is with the Father in Heaven right now in His glorified body until His glorious return. After He rose from the dead, He ascended into Heaven and not long after, sent the Holy Spirit.
@cryoshadow Jesus did not "stand in" for the Father
Ya... he kinda did... He is the mediator... God did not forgive any sins. Jesus paid the price for them. God did not make the sacrifice but his Son. The trinity is mans attempt to define God... that is all.
I though you said Jesus is God? If he is how can he be with God? Isn't the HG God? Why would he send the HG if he is the HG?
Yes, I did say that. The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. All exist at the same time - all are different persons, yet one God. The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Spirit, and the Spirit is not the Father, but all are God (at the same time).
Think about water for a moment, it can be ice, liquid, or steam, but it is still always water. God, much more complex, of course, is the three persons existing at the same time, but all are still the same God.
They exist at the same time? yet are different persons? Yet one? Do you really believe that? Wait... that father is not the son? You just said the they were all god? I think you dont know what you bleive... at the same time you think you do.
It seems that we're only going to go in circles because you insist on denying the truth. While no one will ever be able to fully comprehend His triunity, He has made His triune nature known through His Word.
"...Jesus was baptized too. And as He was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” Lk 3:21-22
Yes. you believe in this trinity and it is not biblical. It is a mordern day invention of man. His triunity? Isn't their triunity? Jesus made it clear that he was not God.
Yes... and how is luke showing that they are the same being?
You're trying to wrap your mind around God and put Him in a little box so you can feel like you understand Him, and I will warn you - that is a dangerous thing to do.
I'll leave you with this last warning - "On that day many will say to Me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'" (Mat 7:22-24)
Fear and scare tactics? My apologies that it came off that way. I've been telling you the truth yet you keep denying it - I am not trying to scare you, I am trying to warn you of the dangers of believing anything less than truth: "Do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother" (II Thes. 3:15).
I pray that you find the truth - so that on the day Christ speaks of, your name will be found in the Book of Life.
You may respond if you would like, but I have no more to say.
I've been telling you the truth yet you keep denying it. You can even use all of the scriptures but cut them up to make you point. I've treated you like a brother and have shown you your error. it is up to work out your salvation with fear and tremblings. Not for me to force that on you. My name is in the that book. I dont think tradition will keep me out nor does the bible believe that it will. But if you believe it will then you are only judging yourself.
@cryoshadow Yes we are given this warning, and when u jump to conclususions or lean to your understanding then u will be lost. Remember God's words are not ours. The scripture u speak of is warning to the hypocrit who thinks he or she con God by doing what is expected of them, and then sneek out & commit fornication or other sins, devil is constantly there to influence us all but some of us either forget or or think God will forgive.
@Sk8er408 You are correct in that Jesus is in fact God. Jesus said he who has seen me has seen the Father. Jesus is the living WORD of God. See: John 1, where it tells you clearly HE created everything in existence. In Revelations HE is also said to be the alpha and omega (The beginning & the end). HE tells us no one comes to the Father but by HIM. I ask everyone in the youtube community not to argue with one another, but rather be civil & respectful, so we can learn from one another.
You are right... the pharisees dont understand the concept of the trinity because it is not a Hebrew concept. They do however understand the Godhead. Jesus was calling himself their God. Then he clarified that he is only the Son of God (but still their God as he is the mediator between God and man). We are also one with God... or do you deny that scripture to give this one more meaning to prove your point?
Why dont you go read the creeds that define what the trinity is today.
Actually, the Trinity is in the Bible. If you're just talking about the word 'Trinity', then no, the word is not in the Bible. Mentions of all three Persons of the trinity are though, these two verses are good examples:
In the Old Testament of the Bible, God says, "...Let us make man in our image, after our likeness" (Genesis 1:26a). (notice the word 'our') In the New Testament, Christ says, 'baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit'
The Bible clearly states that the Father is God (Phil 1:2), that the Son is God (John 1:1, 14; Col 2:9), and that the Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-4). All three are God, but they are not the same. They are different "persons" in the Godhead which is the Trinity (The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) and at the same time, they are all God and there is only one God.
So yes, the Trinity is in the Bible...unless you are still just thinking of the actual word 'trinity'
Yes... But you fail to understand that "God" is just a title... See even you are starting to get it. They are all God but not the same being.
The trinity is not in the bible... The Godhead is... but not the trinity. The bible also say we are to be one as Jesus is one with God... does that make us part of the trinity?
@ILYIAB Atheists question everything because we don't fall for any private revelations or inspired gut feelings and fairy tales but we do agree, not just on atheism but on the emprical evidence backing up atheism deductions. It seems you are simply being sarcastic since all your other posts appear to be grounded so if that is the case I agree. Good thing we have atheists, if not we would still be burning people alive for saying the earth orbits the sun.
@ILYIAB That's your opinion, we think likewise about the view that this world just happened; evolution or no evolution, big bang or not, whether genesis is literal or allegorical, the universe in it's intricacy had to be developed by Someone, would all this order be spawned out of one random natural event leading of another, and what about the issue of morality here; universal concepts such as good and evil innately ingrained in the human mind had to come from somewhere.
@MrEmadshalabi If there was no god, and life was just a natural meaningless cycle, how does one advanced species pull out concepts like that, if humans are only animals, albeit being the most intelligent, then they are really the first to pull out "delusions" such as good and evil. In the natural world animals do whatever in order to survive, regardless of whatever intelligence, they kill, mate, reproduce and this is nature. Good and evil have no place, only survival.
@MrEmadshalabi "if humans are only animals, albeit being the most intelligent, then they are really the first to pull out "delusions" such as good and evil."
I think there's a flaw in that logic. You assume to know what the intelligence or abilities of animals besides humans are mainly because of the lack of what we consider language, but if you consider say, the whales, you can see that the possibility exists that they hold conversations and we are the ignorant. It is a supposition.
My point being either morality in the world is universal mental delusion exclusive to humans or some creed written into the human mind that is there for some strange reason.
@MrEmadshalabi If you bothered to study evolutionary science, you'd see that there is evidence that animals who are social possess behaviors that would be deemed "moral", such as altruism, and that these are adaptations that enhance social cohesion, which offer advantages to the survival of the species.
Far from being delusional or only human, morals result from adaptations of social animals.
@moopism Fine then, I stand corrected. Truth be told, I'm still studying evolution in my biology course at school, so I have no intention of debating in fields that are not within my knowledge, I could try looking at things from a philosophical point of view or a theological one to try at debates about topics such as God, but I comprehend arguing about a field I do not understand fully yet is idiotic, so if morality is an evolutionary trait then I have to take your word for it.
@MrEmadshalabi Listen, I'm happy you're willing to be open minded, that's a good trait to have. But PLEASE don't just take my word for it. Try googling "Are animals moral?" and see where that leads. Another good starting place is a wikipedia article "Evolution of morality".
NEVER just take someone's word for anything. Look into it. That's how we learn to think for ourselves.
@moopism True, the reason I initially went with that was that our class didn't go much into evolution yet, so who am I to argue with someone who claims to have studied it sufficiently enough to counter me, I would come off as another babbling simpleton who gives theists a bad name, alongside those who erroneously believe the theory of evolution teaches humans evolved from chimps and monkeys. But you do raise a good point there, I'll look into it. I however am capable of thinking for myself-
@MrEmadshalabi "I however am capable of thinking for myself- " I didn't mean to imply otherwise; I merely meant that accepting someone's word for something happens all too often when people start talking theology.... most theists argue positions that have been spoon fed to them in defense of a faith they were indoctrinated into from birth.... that's why they often fail to offer adequate explanations of what they believe and WHY. Too often they are taught to belittle critical thought. OK?
If you're referring to the common "blind indoctrination" case in theists, I see your point, sadly, many theists just believe in any god because their parents told them to, few examine both sides or even their own side to find answers and peace of mind after the difficult questions are resolved. I have been indoctrinated as you say, but I always questioned, and looked into me theology, I wanted to understand God as fully as a human mind is capable- I've had my many fall outs as a result-
@MrEmadshalabi but I find as I keep learning and researching that everything ultimately has a solution, and that there are reasons for everything in my faith, and I peacefully come back to it on my own terms each time, and I as I research theories from other points of view it helps shape my knowledge, I know it's better to find knowledge from more than one spot, though you may not initially agree on some points and perhaps may never agree on others, learning for knowledge's sake is how I do.
@MrEmadshalabi I understand. I grew up in a Baptist home, my parents were in the choir, I sang my first solo in the christmas show at 6. I didn't walk away till I was 35. I was even willing to put up with the fact that none of it is rational, but what finally was the last straw was when all the politics started.... all the sudden it was all about who goes to hell for not thinking like you, or how evil gay people are supposed to be. It was all just plain mean..... after that the rest came easy.
@moopism I wanted to find a point of similarity between us so we'd both understand each others views better, I inferred you were once a theist, because, let's be frank, in a world where theism is the dogma of the majority, it's not surprising many atheists used to be part of that majority, though some may have just been born into an atheistic background and either keep their views with no interest in preaching, like the average person or for whatever the reason decide to convert others.
@MrEmadshalabi My final point is though, that listening to every side of the argument and making your final decision is the best alternative to the "ignorance is bliss" mantra theists and even atheists hold on to when it comes to such topics, what I'm trying to say is; whether our experiences strengthen our faith or diminish it, obtaining more knowledge into these topics can in one way or another solve many of the difficulties you and I had when trying to understand things like scripture-
@MrEmadshalabi and sciences such as evolution, and ultimately you have to decide on how to either reconcile all of this knowledge or make a decision compromising one belief for another.
@MrEmadshalabi I honestly had many difficulties with the Bible as well, but I looked more into it and found what I perceived to be solutions, now this isn't an attempt to get you to "give God a chance," because it isn't my intent and I know very well others have looked more into and still didn't have any peace with it, and it's understandable, but again, my final point is, everyone needs to learn about these things and then make that final decision- we apparently have.
@MrEmadshalabi Not an unreasonable assumption, although with the way opinion polls in first world countries are reading, theists are rapidly dropping into minority status. I wouldn't be surprised if there are many in you age group who've never attended church and for whom the whole proposition has always been on par with the tooth fairy or santa.
I do think that atheists that came out from religious backgrounds tend to have a better grasp on the internal mindset and cognitive dissonance.
@ILYIAB I am NOT trying to rule out evolution or the big bang or whatever else could have created the world and life as we know it, I however pointed to the notion that a God could have been behind those events and processes that lead to everything we know today. I tried to point this out in my very first sentence, whatever account of creation and humanity is true, whatever is believe, Someone could have triggered those events to create the Universe.
@MrEmadshalabi Postulating a very complex being to explain the "complex" universe we live in, seems to me like saying that we need a 2011 model Ferrari to explain a Model T Ford. It makes no sense. We have great knowledge about why things seems designed but aren't.
We don't know if it was a collapsing wave function that started the Big Bang. We don't know. But saying "Something did it!" will not help us. Let's keep looking and thinking.
@MrEmadshalabi And by the way. The Theory of Evolution has nothing to do with The Big Bang Theory. ToE is probably the best supported theory ever. The least understood theory is the Theory of Gravity. We know its effects, but don't know why. Hence the LHC.
@ILYIAB And why is the Morality argument ineffective? I honestly need to know, I'm not trying to challenge you or start any debates, I'm open to correction, I'm not going to flaunt fallible arguments or ideas, if you have any knowledge I would be happy to learn, I'm not against hearing rival opinions or theories or facts, though I understandably resent people mocking me for a reasonable view that does NOT deny any conventional knowledge or logic-
@MrEmadshalabi and stating a like argument that is reasonable, but can be false, I'm only moronic if use arguments or theories that can be countered even though others tried to correct me, if I refuse correction then I blatantly deserve and accept that label. If you to prove a point to someone attack their argument, not them, many theists are also guilty of this, but if you constantly do this then people are more likely to shun whatever you have to present in bad spirit regardless of any truth.
@MrEmadshalabi I apologize if I was rude. But this is YT and the Internet... Sorry.
The Morality argument falls because we had morals before we had it in writing. What about the Chinese culture, predating the 10 commandments with a long shot. So did the Ancients. Morality is linked to evolution. If we help each other we survive. Together we kill the beasts in our forests. When another tribe try to take our food, we fight them. Do I need to say more?
i was bid to enter all churches of man, and witness, i noticed that nobody read from any bibles in the witness church, but from altered booklets, these booklets are only opinion and not from "A Bible" they carry not the word of GOD unaltered, as do a great many Bibles, let me tell you all churches of man will bow down to the beast, on by one all will fall before it, Let GOD be in you, and not you, with man made church, follow not man but GOD
@Gail940 the really funny thing about your statement is the "word of god unaltered" bit. if you want, I can give you specific examples of places in the bible that have been altered from the original writings
@cheeesonator Go to his website, he cites every single source. Have you actually read what the Watchtower teaches? What he says is 100% true. You can investigate it for yourself.
are you saying that if someone just sits on there ass all there life and never helps anyone else, but says "i bieleve in jesus" will go to heaven no matter what??! no we are not ""saved"" by good works ALONE, but they are a very very basic part of the whole of what does does please god! it IS a sin to be idle, to not do good things as often as you can, i dont thing someone even has to be christian to bieleve that!
@benjorgensen1 If you were a Christian, you would not be using profane language because doing so is a sin. Salvation is by the grace of God and through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Nothing more, nothing less. Anything other than that is not Christianity. Good works play no role whatsoever in recieving salvation. Did the thief on the cross next to Jesus do any good work? Was he baptised? No. Yet, he recieved salvation.
AND ...dont forget the 5 or 7 or so false predictions of jesus's second that they had "worked out because charles russel had uber aewsome pyramid skills" that cost families everything they had. Funny that?
Yea! They date the fall of Jerusalem as being 607BC when all other sources suggest 587BC - this is where they get 1914 via Daniel's prophecy. This appears less correct as time marches on. All that being said, trinity, hellfire, & immortality of the soul only made it into Christian dogma on or after the Council of Nicea 325AD, and scriptures cited to the contrary are mostly vague and inconclusive. So I really don't know what to make of them.
@erinnelson92 I have not seen a message from you yet that shows love. You are very judgemental just like the Pharisees. I asked you a simple quaestion to learn about you, but since you are unwilling to accept your neighbor as the Bible commands, I guess my point is pretty clear. You do not understand the Bible.
@shazypa yeah right you judge me in everyone of you comments and your like a catholic or mormon you have it all wrong I know more about bible truth cause jehovah has opened my eyes you sir are not a christain until you accerpt god is one literally oine like a true christain
@erinnelson92 Your own literature, Jehovah's Witnesses—Who Are They? What Do They Believe?, says "Jehovah's Witnesses believe that all religious teachings should be subjected to this test of agreement with the inspired Scriptures, whether the teaching is offered by them or by someone else. They invite you—urge you—to do this in your discussions with them." I try to do this and you shun me away calling me names. Is that your way of loving your neighbor?
@shazypa nobody should call you names, it is rude, and I have been approached by your church for a bible reading and I did not really understand them, that is a lot of reading to do I know I have yet to move past genesis on my own, so I told them I would not discuss with them because I would like to have my own opinion before I hear theirs. I try to love everyone and I know a few JWs and they are cool, but I do enjoy the togetherness that Christmas brings to my family
@Trumpetnerd34 Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure what you mean when you say you have been approached by my church. I am not a JW. I go to a local non-denominational church. The JW are false prophets as can be proven from the scriptures. I also enjoy the togetherness of Christmas. I celebrate it too!! I celebrate the birth of my Savior on that day because we don't know the actual real day He was born. I enchorage you to keep celebrating it, but just remember what the real point of the day is!!

@Trumpetnerd34 - If you have any questions about the Bible in your journey, I would be more than happy to email with you. However, I would enchourage you to start with the New Testament in Matthew if you have never read the Bible. Read from there to the end, then go back to Genesis and read to the end. It will help put things into perspective better. It shows us how Jesus (who is God) came to live His life. He went thru the same trials we do. I hope this helps you. Have a great day!!!
i dont see your piont probabaly caz you dont have one you need to meet jehovah the god of the bible and jesus not the god but the son of the bible would you like a free home bible study to help oyu become happier and wiser :)
You wouldn't see the point because you cannot understand the Bible without help from the Watchtower. You make the claim to be the only true religion. What criteria do Jehovah’s Witnesses use to identify this “one” true religion?
wrong you sound so stupid saying that who told you that....satan the trinity concept was around long befoe the word ex. egytp, asia, romans its as pagans as where it came from theocratic means god rule kingdom i see you wouldnt know that cause you wont be in it loser
@erinnelson92 It doesn't matter what "theocratic kingdom" means. The word is no where in the Bible. It is a principle just like the Trinity. I am open to finding out the truth. The scriptures command us to "carefully examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things were so." - Acts 17:11 and to "Make sure of all things; hold fast to what is fine." - 1 Thes 5:21. Would you be willing to accept God's command?
@shazypa i do i can clearly see yoiu dont would you like a free home bible study with the only true reliogn and it does matter what it means its not a princlpal its a book so your stupid
@erinnelson92 I wouldn't want a study from someone who contradicts their own religion. You claim to be the only true religion, but cannot possibly be filled with God's love if you call me a loser and stupid.
@erinnelson92 You need to meet the real Jesus, the God of the Bible. John 1:3 says about Jesus - "All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence." And yet at Isa 44:24 we read "24 This is what Jehovah has said, your Repurchaser and the Former of you from the belly: “I, Jehovah, am doing everything, stretching out the heavens by myself, laying out the earth. Who was with me? " Note the Question "Who was with me?"
@shazypa If Jehovah created everything by Himself, yet, John says apart from Jesus not even one thing came into existence, this makes Jesus God. Who is right, your Watchtower Society or your Bible? What is your final authority?
@erinnelson92 The word "Trinity" is not any more pagan than "Theocratic Kingdom". Both are just terms used to explain a principle one believes the Bible teaches. The concept was around long before the word.
why r u acting so silly, is that the real definition of Christianity or your own twisted one ;) man, you're tiring. why not re uploading this vid with the real definition of christianity and try to see if we dont fit that one ^^ BTW have you ever explained the trinity from the bible,sounding reasonble and logical ??? I really wanna hear that
man, the disciples and apostles of Jesus were not witnesses, but jews. And we believe they're going to heaven, so not only witnesses. Man get informed!
@EzekielNwankwo Actually, those are the Words of the Watchtower Society. It says - “So, does Jehovah have a prophet to help them, to warn them of dangers and to declare things to come? …He had a “prophet” to warn them. This “prophet” was not one man, but was a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as International Bible Students. Today they are known as Jehovah’s Christian witnesses. The Watchtower, April 1, 1972, p. 197
we teach only by doing god's will and following bible scriptures will you be saved As said in the bible "keep taking in knowledge for this means everlasting life" now im not going to get technical but like i said find out for yourself before you go accusing ppl of being indoctrinated
listen to this guy of course we dont teach jesus was used to creat all other things even you know in genesis that jesus assisted his father in the creation notice i said assisted bot through him and and 1914 is in the bible just read you will find it we dont claim only our church members will be save rather the righteous once will be saved and it rains upon the righteous and unrighteous we...
notice when this try to talk about Jesus the archangel you notice his body languish seeming like hes getting uncomfortable well there u know hes wrong and he talks of the 144000 who on earth here doesn't know Jesus died for us all well i rest my case, they dont salute the flag because the flag is an image for a giving contury now what did the bible say about worshiping images... you find that on your own and ways believe what you want but as they say see before u believe
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
1918 "Therefore we may confidently expect that 1925 will mark the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful prophets of old, particularly those named by the Apostle in Hebrews 11, to the condition of human perfection," (Millions Now Living Will Never Die, p. 89).
@kiwichristian2009 1899 "...the 'battle of the great day of God Almighty' (Revelation 16:14), which will end in A.D. 1914 with the complete overthrow of earth's present rulership, is already commenced," (The Time Is at Hand, 1908 edition, p. 101).
@blakguitar Did you also know that the bible even says people will be opposers, and ridiculers and lie about things, hmmm idk if that true or false but either way it is not for us to judge any man, and persons heart can change and turn to god so really what you say dont matter at all lol.
@blakguitar They do not control you they tell you what they believe in teach and show you scriptural reasons why. Then like every other religion it is up to that person to decide what they want to do! so sorry but if were not supposed to follow the bible whats the point in life?
@kiwichristian2009 LOL haha you show me no proof that i cannot prove wrong lol. I know the rest is up to me, so thank you for proving more that as a Jehovahs Witness i have the truth! :)
@Bobby2k4 Hi Bobby. I am happy to share with you. The JW's made several prophecies that they say came from God. These prophesies NEVER came true. The Bible teaches us how to know false prophets. The JW's also preach a different gospel and a different Jesus than the Bible teaches. Again, the Bible says we are to avoid them.
@Bobby2k4 The founder of the J.W, Charles Taze Russel was a 33rd degree mason and is buried in a masonic cemetery. Everyone knows the Masons are satanists.
@kiwichristian2009 Why didn't you answer my question? I said "Where the Bible show us that Jesus is God?" Please answer my question first!!!!! Why you have to jump up and explain about Watchtwer... We have to share our Jesus our gospel first then I will explain you about Watchtower. okay?
@Bobby2k4 1Jn 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
@Bobby2k4 Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
@Bobby2k4 Joh 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Joh 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
@uglypeople07 i Couldn't Fit The Whole Passage, But Read John 1:1-14 The Whole Thing.. Jesus is The Word And The World is Created By Him, The Word is God So That Make Jesus(The Word) God. Not An Angel Or Whatever You Believe..
@kiwichristian2009 1925 "The year 1925 is here. With great expectation Christians have looked forward to this year. Many have confidently expected that all members of the body of Christ will be changed to heavenly glory during this year. This may be accomplished. It may not be. In his own due time God will accomplish his purposes concerning his people. Christians should not be so deeply concerned about what may transpire this year," (Watchtower, Jan. 1, 1925, p. 3).
non christian cult? Kind of confusing when they are christians. A christian is someone who follows in jesus' footsteps and they do that daily and more than any other christian as they go door to door preaching as jesus did when on earth. Also FYI if you read the bible you can see 100% how everything they preach and teach is correct!
@tylerjw100 Utter rubbish. They deny MANY things God says in the Word of God. They preach a DIFFERENT Jesus Christ and a different gospel than the one in the Bible.
@kiwichristian2009 actually sorry to break it to you they dont, trust me i have personally looked up many things and many religions and the only religion i have found to be correct 100% If people would just look in their bibles they would see everything we believe in there. Its just people dont read bibles anymore all they do is take peoples word for it!

JESUS THE MESSIAH WAS A GREAT MESSENGER WHO PREACHED THE WORD OF GOD
CHRISTIANS STOP WORSHIPING SO CALLED " MAN- GOD"
855842 4 months ago
@855842

I'm confused... Did Jesus claim to be God or did he claim to be the Son of God?
Sk8er408 3 months ago
@Sk8er408
In John 10:30 Jesus says, " I and the Father are one" (in order to be one with God, Christ would have to be God - this also refers to the Trinity).
In addition, "Again the high priest asked him, 'Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?' And Jesus said, 'I am...' (Mark 14:61-62).
These are just a few verses that refer to the divinity of Christ. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

Sk8er408 3 months ago
@Sk8er408
Jesus did was not lying at all.
And on the contrary, God has made Himself known to us in various ways, He is a very personal God, He is not asexual, void of form, or changing.
If you would like to understand Christians doctrine and beliefs instead of making assumptions, then you can check this out: carm.org/christian-doctrine
cryoshadow 3 months ago
@cryoshadow
Sk8er408 3 months ago
@Sk8er408
No, it does not teach that. Those are assumptions that you are making about the Trinity.
How am I taking the verse out of context? To say that Christ is lying, then you would have to assume that the Pharisees were the ones who were correct. In that whole passage, Christ is saying that He is one with God, but the Pharisees are the ones who think He is lying because they do not understand the concept of the Trinity either so they want to stone Christ.
cryoshadow 3 months ago
@cryoshadow
Yes... it does teach that... why dont you read the creeds that define the trinity.
Sk8er408 3 months ago
@Sk8er408
That is what the context is.
cryoshadow 3 months ago
@cryoshadow
Pick one... But isn't it the Nicene that says begotten not made... then goes on to say, was made into man...?
anyways
It does not end in v30 why dont you keep reading and tell me what he says next.
They wanted to kill him because he represented an end of their power.
Sk8er408 3 months ago
@Sk8er408
I said His response to the Jews' question ends in verse 30. Then they get mad at Him and want to kill Him because He is saying He is God and in their eyes, blaspheming for saying that He is the Son of God (v. 36).
The Nicene Creed does say that, it also says "Who for us humanity and for our salvation came down from heaven, was incarnate, was *made human*, was born perfectly of the holy virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit." Don't take things out of context.
cryoshadow 3 months ago
@cryoshadow
You are failing to understand that when what he said in v30 he explains in v36. How do you explain John 17:11, 21-23? So are we God? Are we part of the trinity?
I read it as was made man... right after it says he was begotten not made...
Sk8er408 3 months ago
@Sk8er408
Christ was made human, because He was not human before, but He still existed before and was not actually Created.
cryoshadow 3 months ago
@cryoshadow
Sk8er408 3 months ago
@Sk8er408
Christ existed -> Was incarnated and took on a human body -> Now He is in Heaven with the Father
cryoshadow 3 months ago
@cryoshadow
Sk8er408 3 months ago
@cryoshadow
I understand that Jesus has always existed. The trinity creeds teach otherwise. Before god was Jesus he was just god... and now he is a spirit...
If Jesus is your incarnated god where is he today?
Sk8er408 3 months ago
@Sk8er408
After He rose from the dead, He ascended into Heaven and not long after, sent the Holy Spirit.
cryoshadow 3 months ago
@cryoshadow Jesus did not "stand in" for the Father
Ya... he kinda did... He is the mediator... God did not forgive any sins. Jesus paid the price for them. God did not make the sacrifice but his Son. The trinity is mans attempt to define God... that is all.
I though you said Jesus is God? If he is how can he be with God? Isn't the HG God? Why would he send the HG if he is the HG?
Sk8er408 3 months ago
@Sk8er408
God, much more complex, of course, is the three persons existing at the same time, but all are still the same God.
cryoshadow 3 months ago

@Sk8er408
That is truth and I believe in it.
cryoshadow 3 months ago
@cryoshadow
Yes. you believe in this trinity and it is not biblical.

It is dangerous to understand what God teaches about himself? You need to stop the fear and scare tactics. It is not of God but of satan.
I would hope you take your own advice.
Sk8er408 3 months ago
@Sk8er408
You may respond if you would like, but I have no more to say.
cryoshadow 3 months ago
@cryoshadow
Sk8er408 3 months ago
@cryoshadow Yes we are given this warning, and when u jump to conclususions or lean to your understanding then u will be lost. Remember God's words are not ours. The scripture u speak of is warning to the hypocrit who thinks he or she con God by doing what is expected of them, and then sneek out & commit fornication or other sins, devil is constantly there to influence us all but some of us either forget or or think God will forgive.
Compassionate1100 2 months ago
@Sk8er408 You are correct in that Jesus is in fact God. Jesus said he who has seen me has seen the Father. Jesus is the living WORD of God. See: John 1, where it tells you clearly HE created everything in existence. In Revelations HE is also said to be the alpha and omega (The beginning & the end). HE tells us no one comes to the Father but by HIM. I ask everyone in the youtube community not to argue with one another, but rather be civil & respectful, so we can learn from one another.
Compassionate1100 2 months ago
@cryoshadow

(notice the word 'our') In the New Testament, Christ says, 'baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit'
cryoshadow 3 months ago
@cryoshadow
No... the trinity is not in the bible... it is in the creeds written by men...
So you think your god talks to himself?
Sk8er408 3 months ago
@Sk8er408
So yes, the Trinity is in the Bible...unless you are still just thinking of the actual word 'trinity'
cryoshadow 3 months ago
@cryoshadow
Yes... But you fail to understand that "God" is just a title... See even you are starting to get it. They are all God but not the same being.

MrEmadshalabi 8 months ago
@MrEmadshalabi If there was no god, and life was just a natural meaningless cycle, how does one advanced species pull out concepts like that, if humans are only animals, albeit being the most intelligent, then they are really the first to pull out "delusions" such as good and evil. In the natural world animals do whatever in order to survive, regardless of whatever intelligence, they kill, mate, reproduce and this is nature. Good and evil have no place, only survival.
MrEmadshalabi 8 months ago
@MrEmadshalabi "if humans are only animals, albeit being the most intelligent, then they are really the first to pull out "delusions" such as good and evil."
I think there's a flaw in that logic. You assume to know what the intelligence or abilities of animals besides humans are mainly because of the lack of what we consider language, but if you consider say, the whales, you can see that the possibility exists that they hold conversations and we are the ignorant. It is a supposition.
moopism 8 months ago
My point being either morality in the world is universal mental delusion exclusive to humans or some creed written into the human mind that is there for some strange reason.
MrEmadshalabi 8 months ago
@MrEmadshalabi If you bothered to study evolutionary science, you'd see that there is evidence that animals who are social possess behaviors that would be deemed "moral", such as altruism, and that these are adaptations that enhance social cohesion, which offer advantages to the survival of the species.
Far from being delusional or only human, morals result from adaptations of social animals.
moopism 8 months ago
@moopism Fine then, I stand corrected. Truth be told, I'm still studying evolution in my biology course at school, so I have no intention of debating in fields that are not within my knowledge, I could try looking at things from a philosophical point of view or a theological one to try at debates about topics such as God, but I comprehend arguing about a field I do not understand fully yet is idiotic, so if morality is an evolutionary trait then I have to take your word for it.
MrEmadshalabi 8 months ago
@MrEmadshalabi Listen, I'm happy you're willing to be open minded, that's a good trait to have. But PLEASE don't just take my word for it. Try googling "Are animals moral?" and see where that leads. Another good starting place is a wikipedia article "Evolution of morality".
NEVER just take someone's word for anything. Look into it. That's how we learn to think for ourselves.
moopism 8 months ago

OK?
moopism 8 months ago
If you're referring to the common "blind indoctrination" case in theists, I see your point, sadly, many theists just believe in any god because their parents told them to, few examine both sides or even their own side to find answers and peace of mind after the difficult questions are resolved. I have been indoctrinated as you say, but I always questioned, and looked into me theology, I wanted to understand God as fully as a human mind is capable- I've had my many fall outs as a result-
MrEmadshalabi 8 months ago

It was all just plain mean..... after that the rest came easy.
moopism 8 months ago
@moopism I wanted to find a point of similarity between us so we'd both understand each others views better, I inferred you were once a theist, because, let's be frank, in a world where theism is the dogma of the majority, it's not surprising many atheists used to be part of that majority, though some may have just been born into an atheistic background and either keep their views with no interest in preaching, like the average person or for whatever the reason decide to convert others.
MrEmadshalabi 8 months ago
@MrEmadshalabi My final point is though, that listening to every side of the argument and making your final decision is the best alternative to the "ignorance is bliss" mantra theists and even atheists hold on to when it comes to such topics, what I'm trying to say is; whether our experiences strengthen our faith or diminish it, obtaining more knowledge into these topics can in one way or another solve many of the difficulties you and I had when trying to understand things like scripture-
MrEmadshalabi 8 months ago
@MrEmadshalabi and sciences such as evolution, and ultimately you have to decide on how to either reconcile all of this knowledge or make a decision compromising one belief for another.
MrEmadshalabi 8 months ago
@MrEmadshalabi I honestly had many difficulties with the Bible as well, but I looked more into it and found what I perceived to be solutions, now this isn't an attempt to get you to "give God a chance," because it isn't my intent and I know very well others have looked more into and still didn't have any peace with it, and it's understandable, but again, my final point is, everyone needs to learn about these things and then make that final decision- we apparently have.
MrEmadshalabi 8 months ago
@MrEmadshalabi Not an unreasonable assumption, although with the way opinion polls in first world countries are reading, theists are rapidly dropping into minority status. I wouldn't be surprised if there are many in you age group who've never attended church and for whom the whole proposition has always been on par with the tooth fairy or santa.
I do think that atheists that came out from religious backgrounds tend to have a better grasp on the internal mindset and cognitive dissonance.
moopism 8 months ago
@MrEmadshalabi Read a book moron. What you think is not relevant. Evidence is. Show me evidence for your god and I'll listen.
The evidence for The Theory of Evolution is overwhelming. The same goes for Cosmology. Pick that apart.
The Morality argument? Really? I guess you really are 15, cos you still have a lot to learn.
Read, study, and you'll be amazed.
ILYIAB 8 months ago
@ILYIAB I am NOT trying to rule out evolution or the big bang or whatever else could have created the world and life as we know it, I however pointed to the notion that a God could have been behind those events and processes that lead to everything we know today. I tried to point this out in my very first sentence, whatever account of creation and humanity is true, whatever is believe, Someone could have triggered those events to create the Universe.
MrEmadshalabi 8 months ago
@MrEmadshalabi Postulating a very complex being to explain the "complex" universe we live in, seems to me like saying that we need a 2011 model Ferrari to explain a Model T Ford. It makes no sense. We have great knowledge about why things seems designed but aren't.
We don't know if it was a collapsing wave function that started the Big Bang. We don't know. But saying "Something did it!" will not help us. Let's keep looking and thinking.
Have a great day!
ILYIAB 8 months ago
@MrEmadshalabi And by the way. The Theory of Evolution has nothing to do with The Big Bang Theory. ToE is probably the best supported theory ever. The least understood theory is the Theory of Gravity. We know its effects, but don't know why. Hence the LHC.
ILYIAB 8 months ago
@ILYIAB And why is the Morality argument ineffective? I honestly need to know, I'm not trying to challenge you or start any debates, I'm open to correction, I'm not going to flaunt fallible arguments or ideas, if you have any knowledge I would be happy to learn, I'm not against hearing rival opinions or theories or facts, though I understandably resent people mocking me for a reasonable view that does NOT deny any conventional knowledge or logic-
MrEmadshalabi 8 months ago
@MrEmadshalabi and stating a like argument that is reasonable, but can be false, I'm only moronic if use arguments or theories that can be countered even though others tried to correct me, if I refuse correction then I blatantly deserve and accept that label. If you to prove a point to someone attack their argument, not them, many theists are also guilty of this, but if you constantly do this then people are more likely to shun whatever you have to present in bad spirit regardless of any truth.
MrEmadshalabi 8 months ago
Sorry for any typos, I hope they do not impair what I'm trying to point out.
MrEmadshalabi 8 months ago
@MrEmadshalabi I apologize if I was rude. But this is YT and the Internet... Sorry.
The Morality argument falls because we had morals before we had it in writing. What about the Chinese culture, predating the 10 commandments with a long shot. So did the Ancients. Morality is linked to evolution. If we help each other we survive. Together we kill the beasts in our forests. When another tribe try to take our food, we fight them. Do I need to say more?
I suggest your read D Dennet & S Harris.

benjorgensen1 1 year ago
@benjorgensen1 If you were a Christian, you would not be using profane language because doing so is a sin. Salvation is by the grace of God and through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Nothing more, nothing less. Anything other than that is not Christianity. Good works play no role whatsoever in recieving salvation. Did the thief on the cross next to Jesus do any good work? Was he baptised? No. Yet, he recieved salvation.

guitarhero316 1 year ago

Is that your way of loving your neighbor?
shazypa 1 year ago
@shazypa nobody should call you names, it is rude, and I have been approached by your church for a bible reading and I did not really understand them, that is a lot of reading to do I know I have yet to move past genesis on my own, so I told them I would not discuss with them because I would like to have my own opinion before I hear theirs. I try to love everyone and I know a few JWs and they are cool, but I do enjoy the togetherness that Christmas brings to my family

Have a great day!!!

wrong you sound so stupid saying that who told you that....satan the trinity concept was around long befoe the word ex. egytp, asia, romans its as pagans as where it came from theocratic means god rule kingdom i see you wouldnt know that cause you wont be in it loser
erinnelson92 1 year ago
@erinnelson92 It doesn't matter what "theocratic kingdom" means. The word is no where in the Bible. It is a principle just like the Trinity. I am open to finding out the truth. The scriptures command us to "carefully examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things were so." - Acts 17:11 and to "Make sure of all things; hold fast to what is fine." - 1 Thes 5:21. Would you be willing to accept God's command?

shazypa 1 year ago
@erinnelson92 You need to meet the real Jesus, the God of the Bible. John 1:3 says about Jesus - "All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence." And yet at Isa 44:24 we read "24 This is what Jehovah has said, your Repurchaser and the Former of you from the belly: “I, Jehovah, am doing everything, stretching out the heavens by myself, laying out the earth. Who was with me? " Note the Question "Who was with me?"
shazypa 1 year ago
@shazypa If Jehovah created everything by Himself, yet, John says apart from Jesus not even one thing came into existence, this makes Jesus God. Who is right, your Watchtower Society or your Bible? What is your final authority?
shazypa 1 year ago
the trinity is pagan your not christain sir and some of those things your saying about us is a lie i fear its to late for you to find jesus
erinnelson92 1 year ago
@erinnelson92 The word "Trinity" is not any more pagan than "Theocratic Kingdom". Both are just terms used to explain a principle one believes the Bible teaches. The concept was around long before the word.

@EzekielNwankwo Actually, those are the Words of the Watchtower Society. This “prophet” was not one man, but was a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as International Bible Students. Today they are known as Jehovah’s Christian witnesses. The Watchtower, April 1, 1972, p. 197
