No wonder people keep on talking ONLY about the book of Isaiah. All the other texts are Gnostic in nature. 11 caves were found. So instead of saying: The book of Isaiah was found between deeply gnostic scriptures.. they just leave that away. Fits better you know.

The beginning of the church? The Essenes wrote gnostic texts dude. The church didnt exist back then for a long time.

...wow you really believe that..i myself have been interested in looking into gnosticism and have indeed been slowly trying to figure out its origin, and i can tell you having at least a cursory look that it does not start with the essenes.

Do any of these texts even have one of these characteristics.

1. All that is physical is evil

2. A demiurge

3. Special knowledge/gnosis is required for salvation

4. Aeon's.

Why doesnt the Israeli govt allow scholars to look at the scrolls? could it be because Dr.john Strugnell the man put in charge of them said on his retirement that "afterstudying the scrolls Ifind Judaism to bbe a horrible religion with radict origins that should not even exist at all" Time magazine Jan 14th 1991

@lumpfish99 it amazes me how everyone screams about religious tolerance in this country, yet makes a point to discriminate against Jews and Christians. If we are required by law to tolerate you and say nothing offensive to you, then why isn't anyone else required to treat us with the same respect?
