  • cool

  • I have the canadian pacific. Its DC and its magnificant to watch.

  • My granddad bought 2 Princess Elizabeth II's, they were really old and they stutter even at full power.

  • @bleward sounds like she needs a good service!

  • @bleward I have one of the old Tri-ang 'Princess Elizabeths' as well.I got it when I was a lad (sic). After seeing InteCity82's video I bought a royal train. I may put up a video of both engines, but do not expect the old engine to run so well - it will be given a service first and the royal train is not yet run in. If you have the money buy your Grandad a new Hornby one.

  • what are the cups for?

  • @The3GameMasters - they're small glasses full of ballast, coal and other wagon loads.

  • Great train set. You should do somemore reviews!

  • aup mate brilliant review! after weeks of looking i have just managed to grab a hornby 6201 from the royal trainset and its been in a showcase since he bought it new which is a shame but now shes happily chuffing round fennerfield :)

  • @tich4472 - that is very good news my friend! :)

  • i dont mean to be rude or personal but whereabouts do you live ?

  • @EP1CSR00MAGE - lol it does say on my channel - I'm in Crewe.

  • @InterCity82 What are you using to hold the track down? Putty of some kind? Bc that is a brilliant idea for that kind of flooring.

  • @Fireheart528 - it's Blu-tack.

  • @InterCity82 Definitely looks a lot better than nailing or tacking/stapling the track down!

  • i know this might sound a bit silly, but im new to all of this and what is DC and DCC ?

  • @EP1CSR00MAGE - DC refers to the 0-12V direct current supply used for much of the history of model railways. DCC stands for Digital Command Control, a new system which allows you to operate multiple locomotives independently on the same track section, as well as switching accessories such as lights and sound.

  • What is your web firm called?

  • @rishum1000 - you mean Part 3? (it's just been uploaded)

  • Amazing, is she DCC ready?

  • @RCProductionable - not sure actually. I still have her as DC and haven't opened her up to check.

  • when are you going to show her getting her coaches?

  • what is the "special surprise"

  • @matanuialive2010 - the film was damaged and couldn't be uploaded - so will have to be shot again, but that's ok cos there are 2 surprises now :)

  • @matanuialive2010 - I'll get them done as soon as possible. But it will be some weeks yet as I have a huge backlog of videos to get through.

  • whats that blue stuff on the tracks?

  • @TheRush341 - blu-tack

  • @TheRush341 - Blu-Tac.

  • when were the carriages up on

  • @danielpclark1 - they weren't. Unfortunately, the footage was not of a good enough quality and has had to be re-shot. It shall be uploaded as soon as I'm thru the rest of the backlog.

  • i saw this on ebay for $150

  • do a day time rush hour servis with her, virgin pendolino and class 220

  • What scale is that?

  • @JPturtles77 - oo/double o/OO

  • Looks like it runs brilliantly! Really looks the part on some track! ;)

  • what was the special suprise??

  • @Scouttrooper99 - that's coming in a followup vid

  • So if im in America and wanted to buy this set do u know a good place to try to get one like online?

  • @Peppurr1 - Trident Trains and Hattons both ship abroad

  • "I just can't fault her......"

    Quite!

I hope Sir William is looking down with a smile on his face.

  • @Cabinessance - lol haha, well I'm sure wherever he is, he's a happy man

  • i bet the suprise is a class 67 queens messenger

  • dc or dcc ready

  • @jmsschooner - to be honest I don't know yet (as of 27.09.10) - never opened her up

  • what was that other thing, upside down on the floor??

  • @eanat11 - that's revealed in an upcoming vid

  • I'm going to get my first hornby set soon and i was asking for your opinion, Sould i get the royal train or the Virgin Pendolino? And i have to say, what a nice video!

    PS: What is the surprise?

    GamerDirect

  • @GamerDirect - erm, both are really good sets. I recommend both, so just go for whatever you like the look of most! :)

  • what is the special suprise?

  • @somerandomalex - that's revealed in a later video

  • Does that train have 4 safety valves? normally trains have two safety valves. Maybe the pressure in the boiler must be too much and they need more safety valves to reduce the pressure quick enough.

    Great video!

  • @lokoiutfftty - yup! All the Princess Royals had 4 safety valves, but they are very, very big boilers.

  • @InterCity82 weird, I didnt even know there was such a thing as any train at all with 4 safety valves

  • @lokoiutfftty - oh yes, the Princess Royal class and Princess Coronation class locomotives have 4 saftey valves as they have seriously huge and powerful boilers.

  • Quick question... How long does one have to run in a loco for and also does one have to run them in forwards at first and then backwards after as well ?

  • @MagnusPaul1976 - 30 mins in each direction at medium speed does them wonders! :)

  • Just started watching your videos yesterday! and i was wondering what on earth was on your track! Then i watched the Bluetack video and that is a great idea!

  • @Hartsock91 - haha, lol. Yeah it'll do for now!

  • thought u said there will be a vid tonight?

  • @Calum643 - oh they're up :) But they remain locked until YouTube has finished processing them. They'll be live for Sunday morning.

  • There not up?

  • Err.. Are u sure cause there not up yet?

  • How long till next vid?

  • @Calum643 - new ones go up tonight!

  • how did you get her because ive been trying to get hold of it you see i have priness elizibeth but im not allowed to use it because its got gold on it and i just love her

  • @WestCoastRailwayBoy - this particular set was a gift. But 'Liz' can be bought in many different iterations (versions). There's the Pete Waterman special, where she's in BR green livery, plus at least two different versions of her LMS maroon livery. As for the class, there's Princess Helena Victoria which is also in maroon LMS livery, and Princess Patricia, in blue! All Princess Royal class locos.

  • could you do a review of the hornby class 40 ?

  • @sodorstudios - a review of the Bachmann class 40 has already been uploaded. As for the Hornby, hmmm - no plans as yet.

  • @InterCity82 Oh sorry i didn' t know that .

I am Going to watch that video now!

    Thanks for the fast replie

  • will you be dccing the loco

  • @craigcromack - definitely - in time

  • Once again Fantastic video :-D

  • @foxcell - thank you :)

  • Hi.

What is the break in procedure? Also, what happens if you do not break it in?

    Cheers.

    David.

  • @CoronationClass - breaking the loco in means running it round at a medium speed for 30 mins in each direction. It gives the motor chance to 'bed in' and the cogs chance to get properly lubricated. It's not strictly neccessary, but doing it prolongs the life of your engines.

  • @InterCity82 Cheers I ran my new 9f in today :-D

  • What a brilliant train set!!!!

  • @dan89876 - oh yeah, an excellent set indeed.

  • pretty nice train model, ill probebly buy one of those as soon as i get abit of money :)

  • @ImprovedAtom - I definitely recommend it

  • hows your model raiwlay coming on

the board one you said you will be doing

  • @Whizzer1 - boards are going down. Videos on that are in the queue for upload but a way off yet.

  • i saw this very loco pulling a west coast railways charter in york i have a photo of her somewhere

  • @MrJezza31 - nice!

  • nice long review, i really want this set!

  • @itgamer100 - lol

  • is the suprise by any means the sleeper carriage? i got the set minus the loco for my 67 to haul and bought a sleeper for it! will you be getting the buffet when it comes out?

  • @zaccee1996 - a 3rd video on her will be coming up soon. And yes I should imagine I'll get the buffet coach as soon as it's possible.

  • I really want to get back to the uk to buy and build my layout intercity82 this is awesome!
