  • Awesome! And love your facial expressions.

  • very good, not the best performance Ive seen but still nicely done.

  • Thanks. Since last February '09, I completely forgot how to play this. Time for a review. Start on a "C" chord and take it from there...

  • Nice attempt. I know this is pretty hard to play at normal speed. I'm trying to learn it now.

  • Thanks! This one took some extra practice to get it up to speed. Some mistakes but I kind of like it.

Side note: I took (Rocky DiRicco) Kempo Karate for 8 years so I apprecicate your love of martial arts. I did a lot of sparring. Anyways, thanks again.

  • i love it but its missing notes

  • sounds great:) enjoyed

  • Thanks buddy.

Happy 4th (of July)-hope you have a nice day and cookout.

  • very nice, I love mozart

  • Wow, it's been 3 months since I posted this--seems like yesterday. Half the battle was keeping it up to tempo. "Sonata in C" doesn't have the same effect slowed down. Thanks for watching.

    --Van

  • wow, i have the same rope dragon! where did you get yours?

  • Rope Dragon---Out of my neighbor's trash can--ha ha. I saw it and said "this is too good to throw away". One man's trash is another man's treasure.

And thanks for watching "Sonata in C". A couple minor mistakes but overall okay. Just an observation, I noticed not many people (on youtube) have done this song on guitar. It's such a nice piece of music too. Good luck with your "pickin'"

  • Great job, i was thinking about learning and posting this one, but now that I've seen you play it I'm sold. :)

  • Yes it such a nice piece and very regognizable too--good one to have in your guitar "play list". Please send me if you ever post it. Thanks.

    --Van

  • That looks like a trick ytune to play!

  • Some what tricky, but then again all you have to do is "hit the right notes at the right time and the instrument plays itself". (Bach?? quote).

  • 2 good sir .good feel . regards .

  • Thanks, "chin...sing", your 2 kind. I was reading it when I played it, but since then I got down to memory. It's a good one to have in the repetoire.

    --Van

  • Great performance, and what a great piece! Definitely on my "to learn" list. Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks on this one too. It's a good one to learn. From Jason Waldron's "Fingerpicking the Classics Vol 1" --good book to own.

  • Spam? LOL "Day job" --ha ha I don't have one! I started working at 15 so I could retire at 45--ha ha. As for your "comment", I expect such (negative) comments here and there. Usually from some untalented person who can't play an intrument themselves, and is a 14 year old from France. If you can't say something "nice", then don't say...oh never mind. But thanks for watching ( and your comment) just the same. It's appreciated.

  • I am applauding! Bravo, Van!

  • I got out of my chair and am "bowing" (Ha ha).

    Thanks Peter.

  • Eh up Squire! Great to see you back, my friend.

This is a real favourite, but not at all easy up to pace.

You did a great job Van!!

    Cheers

    Paul

  • Thank you my friend. A little challenging "tempo". This one I practiced from the slowest (40 bpm) to the highest end of the Metronome scale (208 bpm)--there was no other way. Also, I learn by watching you!

    Regards,

    --Van

  • Van.... Don't watch me... It will lead to an early grave!

    Cheers,

    Paul

  • Thank goodness! We've been waiting for your video!

Nice one, Van! I love it!

  • Thanks. I don't see/hear these "piano" pieces played too much on guitar--that's why I like 'em. Something different. xx 's and oo's

    --Van

  • Great posting Van! Nice to see you back in the saddle.... 5*'s my friend...

  • Thanks! It's "Okay". This one took about 3 weeks, The Big Critic inside me says, if I gave it another week I could get it "flawless" - -I thought it was generally good at this point though. Maybe I might come back to it --I was very "close" to "nailing" it. Did you see "Marty" playing my DGX-230 keyboard? I need to spend 1 day a week in that (keyboard) corner.

    --Van

  • I did see Marty; I have not seen you for a while. Every new instrument takes a while to get going...

  • very good dude, u no fur elise?

  • Bravo! Van!

    That was sooooo cute!

    I like the 'eyeball stare'....LOL

    For ambiance,

    Mikkel

  • Thanks fot the input. Still... needs another day or two of practice, but this was "close". "Postable".

    --Van

  • very nice Van, as always

  • You are #1. Thanks Anne.
