A bail out is just to give capital to save a company from bankruptcy. Sometime, you do not need to print a lot of money. Sweden did it like that ;) And they wiped out Shareholders and give the profit to tax payer.

The way that the art market and art education are set up propagates the understanding that if art isn't understood, it's not good, or that all art should be able to be bought and sold. In order to get rid of this myth there would have to be drastic changes in the art market that was established in the 17th Cent! Without the NEA, artists wouldn't be able to fund IMPORTANT (not just sellable) projects. It's not so simple.

The money was authorized by democrats & republicans. But the dismbersment and management was controlled by Henry Paulson. The Democrats mentioned controls, but immediaetly received threats of filibusters and vetos. Some would have preferred to have the Democrats at least tried to push through a version with oversight and limitations and forced the Republicans to filibuster/veto the bill. W just gave them the money, and trused they'd do the right thing with it. Once again, W was wrong.
Its called a majority for a reason, the democrats controlled the bill, they controlled the committees, and they controlled the end product. Over site could have been written in and it was not. The bill could have narrowed the procedure and it didn't. It is the common check that thelegislature has against he executive. If the dems hated bush so much why didnt they pull in the reigns. And there was oversight! The TARP bill had a 9 member panel. 5 cabinet/presidential appointees, 2 from the House, and 2 from the Senate with one being from each party. So though the Dems put in oversight, they had no power to enforce it. The Democrats just ultimately made the (honestly at this point unforgivable mistake) of trusting George Bush and his cronies. Of course they also figured Obama would get elected and that they could work together to clean up the mess when they got the chance.

A bail out is just to give capital to save a company from bankruptcy. Sometime, you do not need to print a lot of money. Sweden did it like that ;) And they wiped out Shareholders and give the profit to tax payer.
From shadowstats, M3, with is the normal cycle of creation of money, is at 6%... Normal but M1 is at 18%, M2 at 10%...
But, they would need to work on that too... Because 17% on M3 in early 2008: that a problem.

The way that the art market and art education are set up propagates the understanding that if art isn't understood, it's not good, or that all art should be able to be bought and sold. In order to get rid of this myth there would have to be drastic changes in the art market that was established in the 17th Cent! Without the NEA, artists wouldn't be able to fund IMPORTANT (not just sellable) projects. It's not so simple.

There are dumb segments in every race who would hate on different races indiscriminately. However , these people also hate on their race as well. Envy is color blind , I am sure some poor white folks hate rich white people and wise versa.

The mean Jewish IQ is 15 points higher than the mean white non-Jewish IQ. Jews ascend because they're smarter on average. That's my assessment of it, anyway (backed by data). Atheists have higher IQs on average then religious people (not surprisingly)...a sample of atheists will reveal a high proportion of Jews, non-Jewish whites, and very few blacks, which is what one would expect based on statistical IQ analysis.

I don't have a narrow mind, as a matter of fact I'm open to just about anything as being possible until it's proven otherwise. What pisses me off is when religion tries to push itself into the public square in places like courtrooms and public schools. The problem I have most with religion is, regardless what they say, the leaders usually just use belief as an excuse to garner power and sway people to their philosophy.

Since when did a majority bend to a filibuster? A filibuster would have been political suicide during the political climate at the time. It was "the sky is falling" by all the democrats. Even Senator McCain was on board for approving the money. The only objections were over oversite. Furthermore, the only people asking for oversite now are republicans and NOT Democrats.

And it was the Republicans who objected to the oversight. And the Democrats are not only demanding oversight, they're holding hearings with CEOs and trying to find out where the money went. A majority bends to a filibuster when they want to get things done and feel that "the sky is falling" and time cannot be spared to go through the normal congressional bullshit. Now we're actually seeing a seriouis and concerted effort to hold the banks accountable, when even Paulson said he made mistakes.

Next, where is this oversight you are talking about when considering the massive earmarks being carved out to payoff political debts and feed the Tammany hall beast. Furthermore, since when did the democratic party ever trust President Bush? I have never heard an extreme democrat show faith in the President. The democrats can't pass the hot potato now, they were incharge for two years whether you like it or not.

What earmarks and political payoffs? Tammany Hall ceased to exist in the 60s. Don't tell me you believe the ACORN rubbish. When the Democratic Party trust Bush? After 9/11 his approval rating was in the high 80s and low 90s. We were more than willing to let him lead the way, but fuck up after fuck up, led me (I can't speak for all) to the conclusion that W was a fuck up. I have since looked into his days as a business man, and from what I've learned about that I'm right. Just more fuckups

Next, there was only one mistake about iraq, they didnt have enough troops and they didnt listen to generals like Patreas until after the commission. The rest was in the best interests of the USA. No terrorist attacks since 9/11, no one doubts that it was major accomplishment. Finally, classic Dem ploy dont want to talk about there mistakes so talk about tired old unproven dem talking points.

They made that same mistake about Iraq every day for several years straight. And that isn't even what calmed things down. What ended up working was buying off insurgents with weapons. Which can't have been a mistake, because when we armed and trained the Muhajideen in Afghanistan during the 80 and gave safe haven for Muslim extremism to grow in that area of the world never came to bite us in the ass. And no attacks is a bullshit, lame clame. They've been killing US soldiers every day since!

The money was authorized by democrats & republicans. But the dismbersment and management was controlled by Henry Paulson. The Democrats mentioned controls, but immediaetly received threats of filibusters and vetos. Some would have preferred to have the Democrats at least tried to push through a version with oversight and limitations and forced the Republicans to filibuster/veto the bill. W just gave them the money, and trused they'd do the right thing with it. Once again, W was wrong.

Its called a majority for a reason, the democrats controlled the bill, they controlled the committees, and they controlled the end product. Over site could have been written in and it was not. The bill could have narrowed the procedure and it didn't. It is the common check that thelegislature has against he executive. If the dems hated bush so much why didnt they pull in the reigns. I'll tell you why because by the time the dems wrote the bill President Bush was doing what ever they wanted.

And there was oversight! The TARP bill had a 9 member panel. 5 cabinet/presidential appointees, 2 from the House, and 2 from the Senate with one being from each party. So though the Dems put in oversight, they had no power to enforce it. The Democrats just ultimately made the (honestly at this point unforgivable mistake) of trusting George Bush and his cronies. Of course they also figured Obama would get elected and that they could work together to clean up the mess when they got the chance.
