ugh, when will auto makers get the hint from EVERY other electronics user/maker in the world and USE LITHIUM ION BATTERIES! they last longer, weigh less, hold more power, and if its a lithium poly type, it can be molded into any shape you could ever need. gm is going to try with the volt, lets hope they succeed

um, no, li-ion last almost 10 times longer, and doesn't need to be emptied completely between charges. li-ion batteries are more dangerous, i think those exploding laptops a few years ago scared some of the auto makers a little.

Ford has managed to make a hybrid that is attractive, offers great performance, great handling, great room and of course great Ford quality.

Meanwhile, the import whores are stuck with those ass-ugly Pious and Infrights, that perform like a moped. And that folks is not an exageration. Unless of course you think that a Pious needing 13 sec to hit 60 is not 'moped-like' performance.

As far as the "anime" comment. The freaking Japs can make a car that gets between 45 and 50 miles per gallon, and its AC runs on the battery, not on gas. All for under 20K! It's more than just "anime". It's about getting more for your buck.

you need to realize other countries have different ways of testing mileage, many cars that get 50mpg in America get 70mpg in england, mileage is a subjective thing.
