I'm confident that someone can help me with this... I'm almost certain that there was an arcade version of this game. It has a full manual transmission and it also had a key that you had to turn to start the car! The only arcade game I've seen with that! Plus the shifter was ultra-realistic with a leather base. Anyways, just like a real manual car, it would not start unless you had the clutch pedal floored. Does anyone know if this was in fact "Stunts", or am I thinking of a different game?

I wasted sooo much time with this title as a kid. Mind you, I played it in the early '00s, when it was already over a decade old, but it still felt shockingly modern. Honestly, I think it's the best driving game I've *ever* played. And for the time? Well, it's a Hard Drivin' rip-off. But, what a good rip-off it is! Too bad it must have played like a slideshow on most *new* 1990 PCs! A 386-DX25 cost ~5000$+ in 1990, yet this game would *still* run a touch choppy on such hardware! Damn!

I don't like that it has no "championship mode" and the opponent drivers are loosers when it comes to driving (and the lack of multiplayer mode, either splitscreen or network) but otherwise it is and excellently designed game, just like any other games made by DSI.

Even if you can make it work, it is not playable. I tryed it on my Win 85 PC but my prozessor is too fast. When I shortly press the forward button the car rushes off the track. So you will probably also have this problem. Or you have to downgrade your PC. xD

I don't know how we found this out but when I was playing this game, "back in the days" we always built race tracks in the following way.

Build a small circle circuit of 4 squares, so just 4 corners, with one finish line. Then outside of that circle build *anything* you want, as long as you don't connect to the circle.

The thing is that the game checks if your circuit is a valid circuit, no dead ends, no jump-up after a jump-up etc. But it only checks the route that connects to the finish.
