That is why Gabriel said, "You shall call His Name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." God has his reasons why he did and said certain things. For instance you say rape and murder went on in the Quran ok rape and murder went on inthe Bible so how do you explain that. Was the medieval inquisition by the papacy a political movement, yes, but it was predicated on bronze age mythology and the propagation of the idea of direct, divine revelation (a cornerstone of new testament pseudo-philosophy); no different than religiously based organizations like the Taliban.

The textual legitimacy of the Bible has no mechanism of validation when it comes to its supernatural or moral assertions. There are no contemporary historical texts, Biblical or otherwise, of Jesus; all references to Jesus either from Josephus or the gospels are copies of copies of copies of hearsay, written well after Jesus' death.
