Our economy is growing? Jobs are growing? 2 weeks ago, an additional 500,000 jobs were lost. This president has as of yet to do a single thing right. His healthcare bill was atrocious. But what I do know is that your negligent party failed to do anything positive in the 10 years they controlled both chambers of congress, and the 8 years Bush ran the executive branch. @mef75baby Katrina was a Catagory 3 storm. Hurricane Andrew was a catagory 5 storm. I was in Ft. Lauderdale Florida for Hurricane Andrew. Not to mention the fact that throughout my life, I've been through a total of 11 hurricanes. The ONLY reason Katrina did that much damage is because of storm surge. There's just something about living below sea level and being right on the coast that makes you say WTF? It would be like having a constant shower of gas on your house living next to a volcano.

@mef75baby Katrina was a Catagory 3 storm. Hurricane Andrew was a catagory 5 storm. I was in Ft. Lauderdale Florida for Hurricane Andrew. Not to mention the fact that throughout my life, I've been through a total of 11 hurricanes. The ONLY reason Katrina did that much damage is because of storm surge. There's just something about living below sea level and being right on the coast that makes you say WTF? It would be like having a constant shower of gas on your house living next to a volcano.

@alvincay100 Jeez what was I thinking. It wasn't the deregulation of the financial system under Bush that gave a GIANT helping hand to the recession. Admittedly some under Clinton too.
My original point is that @TwinSmoke was giving out about Obama laying the blame on everyone else for the recession - And I think he is entitled to do so. He passed the stimulus package and it worked - no more jobs are being lost and there is growth in the private sector. That said more needs to be done....

@Shedaisy13 The stimulus worked? By what standard? Obama claimed that it would create jobs, but now its just "No more jobs are being lost." And no, it wasn't deregulation, it was too much government interference and a lack of foresight that caused it. Government cannot properly regulate the economy, it always lacks foresight. If you think Obama would have had the foresight to stop the recession you are only kidding yourself. Far worse than too little regulation is too much.

Actually, this is your EXACT quote "no more jobs are being lost". 2 weeks ago an ADDITIONAL 500,000 jobs were lost. And that was in a single week. Do you seriously believe this nonsense you're saying? Better research it first.

If you take the entire bail out cost of 8 Trillion dollars that is a "8" with 12 zeros and divide that by every American, each would have got around $24K/Now this would have stimulated the economy and Jobs

I have a real solid image of what is happening here since this is not the first time we have been in a recession, except this is the first time I've ever heard that we could spend our way out of it.

One example taken. But they weren't in a load of shit from before. Their housing busted out, so the construction workers also went bust. I'll make this pretty fucking plain, to a certain population point democracy doesn't function. Socialism won't be perfect, but it's much better then the democratic down spiral for such a massive populace .
I'm not a big Obamafan. Immigration is something I disagree whe regarding his politics. But the social works are something that must continue.

Genocide, Socialist Germany= Germany after WWI were in deep financial instsability. It took 2billion Marks to buy a loaf of bread. @gotohemp Pride is just an emotion. We have pride too. We don't have the means to slaughter a race though. A socialist model focuses power among a few at the top. If among those you have a charismatic leader that wants a slaughter, there is little you can do to stop them. It has happened in Germany, Russia, China, Cambodia, North Korea etc.
The closest we came was Jim Crow or enternment camps. The minor opposition made those go away .. eventually. Freedom is good.
