@peteypipper1986 The dasa outperforms the sparks throughout the entire powerband. The best exhausts for the yfz are the nmotion 9 inch, DASA, jardine rt4 shorty, and monster pipe. I prefer either nmotion or DASA though. Im gonna be running the nmotion this upcoming season.
@fasterthanyou22 i disagree i have seen people run both exhausts on yfz 450 dasa and sparks i have a curtis sparks one on mine.they say they are close in hp increase but curtis sparks is a better built exhaust dasa falls apart pretty fast.i was going to get a dasa then the seller on ebay told me to get a sparks becuase there better quality and that they produce the most hp increase so i went with a sparks big core paid 475
@mossow71 he probably just needed to sell the sparks since he has a lot of them left over that arent selling very much cause his DASA pipes sell like hotcakes. You can think what you want about exhaust systems, my opinion comes from dyno sheet comparisons, not word of mouth. DASA>sparks. And dasa's are very durable actually, they hold packing better than a sparks can. Sparks is a damn good exhaust, but there are a few out there that are better. Which is why im using an nmotion 9inch this season

sounds like its jetted good and runs pretty good...but a fresh 125 2 stroke bike, especially a kx, will smoke a piped, jetted, filtered yfz with 18s on the back. trust me ive had a few yfzs and my friend had a 125. dead on race till top end when the yfz is bouncing off the rev limiter and the 125 just keeps goin.

I have a DASA full exhaust, Fuel Customs intake, JP piston, custom made jet kit by the guy who did all the work to my bike, and I retarted my exhaust cam 5 degrees, It wasent to much like some people, but its enough to get the job done.

yea the big core is loud as fuck compared to the standard. i have the big core on my 400ex and it can be heard from a distance easy. the standard core can be made to pass sound and the big one cant though so if you ride at parks or somewhere where sound matters than id get the standard but if your looking to make noise and piss people off then get the big core. theres a whole section about the differences between the two on the curtis web site under tech tips and then under general exhaust info.

A powercommander and full exhaust will get it at about 125-127. A stock ltd1000 made 95rwhp. And it weighs a hell of a bit more than the 600. The 600 revs faster, does 71mph in first gear, and it gets there fast. I topped mine out at 165 within a half mile. The 600 would kill it you dumbass.

Lets say the 660 is on a dyno where it makes 35 whp stock. With an lte dual exhaust and open intake it peaks at 49. The Duals make a good 4 hp over a slip on. I had a slip on and open intake, it was making a good 44-45 hp. Versus cr125's 33... Now my 450 is beating a 55-57 hp 673cc raptor.

My 660 beat 125's and my 450 crushed that, and it beats 673cc 11.5:1 CR stage 2 hotcammed kibblewhite valve springed, lte dual exhaust, and velocity airboxless intaked raptors. The 673 is making a good 55 hp, but i beat it because the 450 is lighter and closer gear ratios. 55 hp heavy long gears vs 52 hp light and close gearing.

Yea, im pretty sure he doesnt want an out of frame reverse megaphone. The nmotion 9 inch is essentially a drag pipe anyway. That was nmotions standard drag pipe until sometime last year, when they made the out of frame pipe. The 9 inch is the loudest in frame pipe. Nasty power everywhere, rips on bottom and mid but still pulls very well on top unlike the tc racing shorty which is strictly bottom end.

Yea, im running the stock yz450f piston, 12.5:1 on 93 octane. 12.5:1 compression, and hotcams. The motor is fine, there is no pinging or any other signs of detonation. And damnit fatshit, its a 12.5:1, not 13:1. I live in ohio, not sure on the height above sea level. But it runs perfect, i just have to dial in the pilot circuit a lot because the weather in ohio is always changing. The ignition on these 450's creates a nasty spark, so that takes part in allowing for lower octane fuel.
93 octane with 12.5:1 compression? do you have it cammed different to run lower octane, or are you at 6k elevation?? i've got a 105.5mm 13:1 piston on the way for my DS and i need straight 110 octane.
And i've searched around and most dyno's on piped yfz's put the torque # around 25-29. with 36-40 hp. So you gained around 14ish HP but only around... 3-5 ft/lb of torque. Not good........
Im running a 12.5:1 piston, and 31 ft pounds is a good number. A fully built yfz and trx motor is only making around 35 ft lbs. Like i said, a stock yfz made 38 hp on that dyno. You should read my info and use my info that i give you sharpshit. I tell you i am running 12.5:1, and you come up with 13:1. 12.5:1 on 93 octane. They used an 05 yfz on ctracing, with the 439.

I did put it to a dyno and get those numbers. It was at maplewood career center in the power equipment mechanics room on their chassis dynomometer. It made 51.93 hp and 31.37 ft lb torque. I was running marathon 93 octane, and i did have a stock reference. Stock the yfz made 38 hp, was not sure on the torque numbers, was not my atv. And dont forget, joe byrds stock displacement trx is making 65 rwhp. Rage atv racing is making 60 hp out of all of the 450's, on the 450cc displacmenet.

I never said a 125 makes 50hp. i said shifter carts use 125 motord and they make close to 50hp. Its the way the motors setup. Shifter carts are fast as fuck look. I race go carts that use 125 motors. I dont own them but sponsor does.
I looked up cr125 dyno on google, and i found a guy on dirtrider forum that has hotrod crank, wiseco piston, boyesen reeds, and a full pro circuit exhaust, and while running 50/50 mix race gas and pump gas it made a solid 32 hp on the dyno. That is 10 hp less that what you clain you have when you have less done to yours and youre running pump gas. Just shut up, no125 is going to make 40 hp. A blaster 240 makes 40 hp, and that is more than 100cc's larger in displacement.

The ct racing pipe made 48.9 hp on it. Therefore around 49. The only reason the 450 atvs are only making 36-38 hp stock, is because they are "trail" bikes and have to go through california e-check. And the 125 makes a sturdy 30-33 hp stock...depending on the weather. Now my atv is making 52 hp to the rear wheels, so who cares about stock anyway? The 450's arent meant to be anyway.
my bike was dynoed at 36hp stock. Not my bike itself but some website cant find it on google anymore. But than i went around looking for a dyno shart with the mods i have. And right now my bikes making 41hp now with the wiseco piston kit. fmf factory fatty pipe fmf power core 2 silincer. air filter and a hotrod crankshaft kit.
ok i just took a look ast ct racing. the hp chart shows 36hp stock. My bike makes 36hp stock aswell. and with ct racing exhuast kit which includes the whole exhuast obviously it makes 48hp. No on rossier engineering it says well i cant find anything on rossier engeneering
Well, why dont you give ct racing or rossier engineering a look see. You'll see that a stock 05 yfz450 with a pipe and yz450f exhaust cam timing will make 48-49. Ive got more displacement that the 05, higher compression, more combustion thanks to the cams, and a better exhaust and intake than ct racing or rossier was running. 52 is a quite reasonable amount without any head work.
it would be possible to reach that hp range if it was bored out with a big bore kit. But since the 450 are normally high torque low revving machinces the most possible horse power with those moddifications is 45hp.

IN the 07 dirt rider magazine they had a article in there for a 07 trz450r that had a xr650 motor in it. It was worked any everything. Ill try to find the link for it. But any ways the racing team that had it made it so it would be a 450 killer.

@peteypipper1986 The dasa outperforms the sparks throughout the entire powerband. The best exhausts for the yfz are the nmotion 9 inch, DASA, jardine rt4 shorty, and monster pipe. I prefer either nmotion or DASA though. Im gonna be running the nmotion this upcoming season.

@fasterthanyou22 i disagree i have seen people run both exhausts on yfz 450 dasa and sparks i have a curtis sparks one on mine.they say they are close in hp increase but curtis sparks is a better built exhaust dasa falls apart pretty fast.i was going to get a dasa then the seller on ebay told me to get a sparks becuase there better quality and that they produce the most hp increase so i went with a sparks big core paid 475

@mossow71 he probably just needed to sell the sparks since he has a lot of them left over that arent selling very much cause his DASA pipes sell like hotcakes. You can think what you want about exhaust systems, my opinion comes from dyno sheet comparisons, not word of mouth. DASA>sparks. And dasa's are very durable actually, they hold packing better than a sparks can. Sparks is a damn good exhaust, but there are a few out there that are better. Which is why im using an nmotion 9inch this season

sounds like its jetted good and runs pretty good...but a fresh 125 2 stroke bike, especially a kx, will smoke a piped, jetted, filtered yfz with 18s on the back. trust me ive had a few yfzs and my friend had a 125. dead on race till top end when the yfz is bouncing off the rev limiter and the 125 just keeps goin.

yea the big core is loud as fuck compared to the standard. i have the big core on my 400ex and it can be heard from a distance easy. the standard core can be made to pass sound and the big one cant though so if you ride at parks or somewhere where sound matters than id get the standard but if your looking to make noise and piss people off then get the big core. theres a whole section about the differences between the two on the curtis web site under tech tips and then under general exhaust info.

No lol, my ego isnt hurt by that heavy ass air cooled low compression 1000cc hunk of junk. That story is total bullshit because the 2003 gixxer 600 is makes 115 stock. A powercommander and full exhaust will get it at about 125-127. A stock ltd1000 made 95rwhp. And it weighs a hell of a bit more than the 600. The 600 revs faster, does 71mph in first gear, and it gets there fast. I topped mine out at 165 within a half mile. The 600 would kill it you dumbass.

lol i have had quite a few comments that are positive about it. And no, the stock yamaha headers are not the restrictive part of the exhaust. The spark arrestor is what chokes the shit out of them. Lets say the 660 is on a dyno where it makes 35 whp stock. With an lte dual exhaust and open intake it peaks at 49. The Duals make a good 4 hp over a slip on. I had a slip on and open intake, it was making a good 44-45 hp. Versus cr125's 33... Now my 450 is beating a 55-57 hp 673cc raptor.

lol stock 660 makes 36. My 660 wasnt stock either. All it had was a slip on pipe but the exhaust is the most restrictive thing about that machine. Stock 125 makes 33-34. My 660 beat 125's and my 450 crushed that, and it beats 673cc 11.5:1 CR stage 2 hotcammed kibblewhite valve springed, lte dual exhaust, and velocity airboxless intaked raptors. The 673 is making a good 55 hp, but i beat it because the 450 is lighter and closer gear ratios. 55 hp heavy long gears vs 52 hp light and close gearing.

Yea, im pretty sure he doesnt want an out of frame reverse megaphone. The nmotion 9 inch is essentially a drag pipe anyway. That was nmotions standard drag pipe until sometime last year, when they made the out of frame pipe. The 9 inch is the loudest in frame pipe. Nasty power everywhere, rips on bottom and mid but still pulls very well on top unlike the tc racing shorty which is strictly bottom end.

Yea, im running the stock yz450f piston, 12.5:1 on 93 octane. 12.5:1 compression, and hotcams. The motor is fine, there is no pinging or any other signs of detonation. And damnit fatshit, its a 12.5:1, not 13:1. I live in ohio, not sure on the height above sea level. But it runs perfect, i just have to dial in the pilot circuit a lot because the weather in ohio is always changing. The ignition on these 450's creates a nasty spark, so that takes part in allowing for lower octane fuel.

93 octane with 12.5:1 compression? do you have it cammed different to run lower octane, or are you at 6k elevation?? i've got a 105.5mm 13:1 piston on the way for my DS and i need straight 110 octane.
And i've searched around and most dyno's on piped yfz's put the torque # around 25-29. with 36-40 hp. So you gained around 14ish HP but only around... 3-5 ft/lb of torque. Not good........

Im running a 12.5:1 piston, and 31 ft pounds is a good number. A fully built yfz and trx motor is only making around 35 ft lbs. Like i said, a stock yfz made 38 hp on that dyno. You should read my info and use my info that i give you sharpshit. I tell you i am running 12.5:1, and you come up with 13:1. 12.5:1 on 93 octane. They used an 05 yfz on ctracing, with the 439.

dude your pulling shit numbers out of your ass my ikbe has 22ft/lbs of torque stock not what its rated at is 27ft/lbs of torque my numbers are realistic your putting out the worst and shittiest engine numbers your making like i said around 48hp not 52hp. and 650power is right a 13:1 piston needs to run straight race gas if not that shit will detonate i've seen it happen more than once

ya 31 is good im runnin 31.96 ft pounds and right at 48hp i got the dyno charts to prove it and all i have is slip on hmf pipe..jetted..pro design proflow plate..no toil air filter..curtis sparks tps plug and with the cam mod..yfzs definately the best man...how much did u pay for that higher compression piston?

a completly stock yfz450 makes 36whp ctracing dyno chart and those torque number dont match with the 13:1 piston you have in there so your full of shit

you need to see what a completly stock yfz runs on that dyno to get a baseline.

I did put it to a dyno and get those numbers. It was at maplewood career center in the power equipment mechanics room on their chassis dynomometer. It made 51.93 hp and 31.37 ft lb torque. I was running marathon 93 octane, and i did have a stock reference. Stock the yfz made 38 hp, was not sure on the torque numbers, was not my atv. And dont forget, joe byrds stock displacement trx is making 65 rwhp. Rage atv racing is making 60 hp out of all of the 450's, on the 450cc displacmenet.

I never said a 125 makes 50hp. i said shifter carts use 125 motord and they make close to 50hp. Its the way the motors setup. Shifter carts are fast as fuck look. I race go carts that use 125 motors. I dont own them but sponsor does.

I looked up cr125 dyno on google, and i found a guy on dirtrider forum that has hotrod crank, wiseco piston, boyesen reeds, and a full pro circuit exhaust, and while running 50/50 mix race gas and pump gas it made a solid 32 hp on the dyno. That is 10 hp less that what you clain you have when you have less done to yours and youre running pump gas. Just shut up, no125 is going to make 40 hp. A blaster 240 makes 40 hp, and that is more than 100cc's larger in displacement.

Ok dude a cr125 makes 36hp stock. The gu has obviously not had it dynoed. Like i said go to thumpertalk(dot)com talk to them shifter karts use 125 engines and they make 50hp.

It loses 2lbs of wieght and adds some more combustion. Whats done to my bike is kinda like what you've done to your 4 wheeler. But with the setup it was dynoed at 41hp. Ill try to find the link

The ct racing pipe made 48.9 hp on it. Therefore around 49. The only reason the 450 atvs are only making 36-38 hp stock, is because they are "trail" bikes and have to go through california e-check. And the 125 makes a sturdy 30-33 hp stock...depending on the weather. Now my atv is making 52 hp to the rear wheels, so who cares about stock anyway? The 450's arent meant to be anyway.

my bike was dynoed at 36hp stock. Not my bike itself but some website cant find it on google anymore. But than i went around looking for a dyno shart with the mods i have. And right now my bikes making 41hp now with the wiseco piston kit. fmf factory fatty pipe fmf power core 2 silincer. air filter and a hotrod crankshaft kit.

ok i just took a look ast ct racing. the hp chart shows 36hp stock. My bike makes 36hp stock aswell. and with ct racing exhuast kit which includes the whole exhuast obviously it makes 48hp. No on rossier engineering it says well i cant find anything on rossier engeneering

Well, why dont you give ct racing or rossier engineering a look see. You'll see that a stock 05 yfz450 with a pipe and yz450f exhaust cam timing will make 48-49. Ive got more displacement that the 05, higher compression, more combustion thanks to the cams, and a better exhaust and intake than ct racing or rossier was running. 52 is a quite reasonable amount without any head work.

it would be possible to reach that hp range if it was bored out with a big bore kit. But since the 450 are normally high torque low revving machinces the most possible horse power with those moddifications is 45hp.

They had over $25,000 put in to the thing. And it made 58hp at the wheel. It had a 06 xr650 motor in it. And in the same issue of dirt riders magazine they did a review for the 07 yfz450 and in it it said That it had a little under 40hp stock. Im not trying to start anything. But your 4 wheeler now makes from 44-46hp.

IN the 07 dirt rider magazine they had a article in there for a 07 trz450r that had a xr650 motor in it. It was worked any everything. Ill try to find the link for it. But any ways the racing team that had it made it so it would be a 450 killer.
